this is acc one of the most emotionally compelling songs i’ve heard this year. we’re literally uniting in grief here, but in different ways. whatever you’re going through, we aren’t the same people so we’re gonna have our own ways of dealing with it. hopefully we find a solution. i’ve never felt this deep hearing a song before, something about the hook gives me the chills. this album was well worth the wait.
This track is so unbelievable. The vocals are perfect, the lyrics are beautiful. The way the descending bass line introduces the drums so seamlessly. This is a masterpiece of a song.
I read a book when I was a kid entitled Jonathan Livingston Seagull….. remembering the same feeling that I got from the book when I listen to this song………Freedom……Spiritual Peace
You can just tell this audible masterpiece was crafted w/ so much care....instrumentation, chords, main vocals, back ground vocals, the Mixing, the mastering, the dancing arpeggiators, that Fkn addictive bass line, all meshed with a poetic grade of lyricism... Sampa has truly brought back an essence of musicianship that I personally miss with current artist, today. Blessings, Lahai.
It's been so long since an album has wowed me. This is my favourite song I've heard in a long time. If you like this song you should definitely read the book.
Healing vibes. The soundtrack to every good thing that has happened in the last few awful months. So glad it’s doing the same for everyone else that hears it.
Thank you, Sampha, for gracing us with yet another mesmerizing song and a captivating album. The anticipation was wholly rewarded with your musical brilliance
shoutout laura groves she’s got vocal credits on this one! if u like this u should check out her new album “radio red” sampha features on a couple tracks like “good intention” and “d 4 n”
I love the whole track but 3:12 is my favourite part. the harmony on "into your" is pretty tense, but it resolves so nicely Sampha's approach to chord progressions and harmony is so refreshing. this whole album is so refreshing.
RM💜, Interesting sound of the song and the content, saying that sometimes the other person's behavior seems incomprehensible to them, but at the same time they realize that they were out of the right place emotionally. Interestingly, I noticed that the artist has a rare combination of three main fingerprint lines on his hand in the shape of the letter M. The letter "M" on the hand is a hallmark of... a pure soul, sixth sense, excellent intuition. people with this sign see possibilities where others do not see them.
Jonathan L. Seagull Lyrics [Chorus] Even though we've been through the same Doesn't always mean we feel the same (No-oh) Doesn't always mean we heal the same You are not me and that’s okay (That's okay) Seasons come (Seasons come), seasons cry (Cry) Seasons grow and seasons die (Oh-oh) How high can a bird ever fly? Ever fly? [Verse 1] Couldn't stomach those blues you articulate, I've been Acting like your actions are from outer space But I understand that I’ve been out of place Driving late night back home through the London rain to you
Rated just right, his music is quite experimental in places for the mainstream, and fair play to him for experimenting. But that means he will get the views he gets and the attention he gets based on it. Not a bad thing imo.
This is genuinely one of the most beautiful songs I've ever listened to. Sampha is far too underrated !!!!!
Just listen to this song, and yea this was a beautiful experience. Almost cried
lol I think he actually is overrated for what he delivers
