    Regarding landing the Highwind...
    Solution: Never land it. Just use a ladder or rope or rope ladder to climb in and out. When we see the Highwind in Rebirth it isn't "landed". Don't see why we really need to land it.

    • @Freebytes

      Because people will cry about it.
      It’s just overthinking it at this point. Imagine putting 2 games out that clock in at 150+ hours, 3 times the content of the OG and they’ve only gotten thru disc 1, and people still crying about why they split it up.
      Honestly happy to see them nitpick the little things..this is the same company that said HD towns couldn’t be done and then we got rebirth. So they’ll be fine. If you like rebirth and/or remake you’re in for a treat no matter what.

    "Super position" seems key to understanding what is going on here. The experiencing of multiple realities in parallel.
    Aerith has been in this state since the beginning of remake, she is experiencing the original story and a new altered timeline simultaneously. This is her gambit to stop Sephiroth only her window for change was reMake when she still had foreknowledge. Cloud is now in this state where he is both experiencing a timeline where Aerith is both dead and alive simultaneously, hence his altered perspective with the "doomed timeline sky", since eventually causality will eventually be forced to collapse onto one of those scenarios.

    I think it's clear that there is a timeline where Cloud saves Aerith partly because of the visual queue (rainbow-y effect) of alternate timelines being created occurring when Cloud deflects the blade. I'll be on that copium until part 3 comes out.

    • @ValenAlvern
      @ValenAlvern Месяц назад +2

      Both can be true.
      My personal theory is that this version of Sephiroth is the OG Sephiroth somehow going back in time (timeline of Rebirth) to try to change destiny/fate, since thats a big theme of the game. Whose better fate to change then his own. Hell they only won because Aerith dies to activate Holy.

    For the theory of whether or not Cloud is in denial, I can say one thing. Having personally experienced a scenario where I was witnessing someone who had rewritten a traumatic event in their head, Cloud is exhibiting almost clinically accurate symptoms to what I've seen. He is definitely not seeing things as they truly happened. I think we will revisit the Forgotten Capital (an ironic name) when Cloud and Tifa fall into the lifestream in Part 3 and Cloud will finally see what really happened.

    • @Dante9985
      @Dante9985 Месяц назад +1

      Yea, I'm betting we are going to get a flashback to him shedding a tear in remake and its him lowering her into the water, but of course hes in denial right now so we skipped that part. Also Im thinking Aerith is probably helping him cope by communicating with him directly from the lifestream and while its feeding into his delusion, its keeping him from mentally breaking for now. Shes obviously there in some capacity because Nanaki feels her presence, but much like in Advent Children only Cloud can interact with her. That's my guess atleast.

    • @freddiem2021
      @freddiem2021 Месяц назад +8

      Nah I don't think so. Aerith had the same premonitions in remake regarding date and change the outcome of fate. Zack also asked cloud to save Aerith after her death in his timeline. My guess the two timelines created when he did in fact save her and the one where he didn't get there in time. My theory is he saved Aerith in Zacks timeline where they rekindle and clouds timeline continues as normal and stops sephiroth, when white materia destroys meteor, ending Armageddon on all timelines but closes off all timelines together.

    • @1CJMac1
      @1CJMac1 Месяц назад +6

      There's too many inconsistencies for a typical denial scenario though.
      Cloud's short conversations with Aerith could be denial, but we see Red being able to sense her touch,
      Cloud and only Cloud has an altered perception of the sky now, which might call back to Aerith's quote about the sky at the end of remake.
      It seems more like at the end of Remake and throughout Rebirth Aerith was the one in "super position" where the battle for the outcome of this timeline is between her decisions and Sephiroth's. And for the final game's it will be Cloud who is in "super position". Super position being in more than one possible state at once.
      Aerith is both dead and alive at once. Cloud experiences both realities simultaneously. Where Aerith before this was experiencing the original story and the altered rebirth timeline at once, only the wisps had her memories removed.

    So basically reality is determined by collective agreement so the main timeline is real but also the other worlds are real to those observing it. What makes it more "universally" real is everyone's agreement [like the Remake timeline and OG timeline (both involving so many viewpoints that both are more solid or real worlds commonly referred to as reality), lol, illusion and real are just a perception seems like]. So Sephiroth is trying to bring himself a win in all worlds or "realities" by getting everyone to change their worldview or unify it so there's one world reality/illusion so he comes back to life and can win it all in one new agreed upon reality, this has the secondary effect of bringing all the main cast and protagonists back as well and a final battle commences between heroes and villain. Thus, Aerith comes back to our reality and the lifestream "multiworldverse" ends off with one more coherent, single reality and get a happy ending for our main cast - this happy ending could, possibly, be in just one reality or diverge back into different world agreements so main cast can live out their own realities/sub-realities (sub-reality meaning less individuals agreeing or souls perceiving it so would be considered illusion to most worlds but reality to them) and thus, everyone can get a happy ending. It's a multireality/multi-mind-verse rather than multiverse where agreement determines truth/reality, although one could argue it's still a multiverse just one based on lifestream/souls of the one planet rather than whole universe...
    I hope it ends as one main world that we follow rather than a bunch of 20 different worlds we observe as this deserves a singular world win and final arc, not just oh look hes happy over there or shes happy over there etc.
    Also, Aerith has been playing 4D chess to prevent this reunion win that Sephiroth is trying to have after merging the world views.
    Lastly, this whole lifestream of realities/worlds likely was always more separated but because Sephiroth couldn't merge with lifestream due to Jenova after death in OG timeline we are getting his influence breaking down the barrier between worlds (since time doesn't exist per say except by agreement in lifestream/different worlds so story has both ended and just started in multiple worlds so he transcends worlds/realities). Aerith is working with the lifestream to counteract this and thus the white whispers vs dark whispers is occurring. Aerith body is dead, her soul lives on, in other worlds she is agreed to be alive, if enough agreement occurs or worlds reunion occurs she will come back to life in main world or a new absolute "world of worlds" all joined together.

    While I originally thought it was Cloud dealing with some grief/denial about Aerith, that changed during the final cutscene in the field. Aerith is shown looking at the crew and even rests her hand on Red probably comforting him. He comments as if sensing her presence. I'm in the camp that even though she is gone physically, she is still present through the Lifestream.

    or third option, cloud psyque is broken and he is a husk, the only way to save him is his memories preserved in the materia,wich would still tie to aerith dialogue,focus on the real you.
    and if they are dicks about it they could make us choose between the 3 lol. save the world, save aerith or save cloud

  • @CodeNameX001
    @CodeNameX001 Месяц назад +13

    My main theory has been that there is a single Lifestream across all timelines.
    When Cloud fell into the chasm where the Temple stood, he died, and so he woke up in the next body in a timeline where he took his stroll with Aerith. She then pushed him into that rift in the church, either flinging him back into his original body, or possibly flinging him to an entirely new timeline where he survived the fall. Everytime one Cloud/Zack/Biggs/etc dies, another one on another timeline wakes up. These people are "fated". They are cosmic constants that need to exist to allow fate to flow as it must.
    Then there are those who have achieved a higher awareness. Primarily, Aerith and Marlene. People who have connected directly to the lifestream and understand the shape of things. They are awake and aware of multiple realities, and the nature of fate. Sephiroth has essentially been imitating this form of existance. He's within the Lifestream, acting as a parasite.
    Someone once described Eldritch Horror as "being like an ant on a keyboard, who suddenly realizes that the keyboard is something created by something larger and more unknowable than it."
    Sephiroth is in the Lifestream, trying to manipulate fate itself while having no understanding of it's greater machinations of the Lifestream. As if that ant was a megalomaniac, and thought it could control the keyboard.

    I definitely loved the game. I just wish it wasn't so convoluted now. The old game had a simple, easy to understand plot. I love timeline stuff but not when it gets too messy. It's unclear why their showing Zack, unclear what Sephiroth's true ambitions are, unclear which Aerith is in control, and they could've Dove deeper into the Jenova lore and had us really guessing if it was Sephiroth or Jenova in control, and I'd have loved to see the ancients having to deal with the creature, the virus, and seeing it take the shape of family and friends. They could've really built some physiological suspense there. Hopefully these things will be addresses in part 3.

      Why do people still act like there is a question about Jenova or Sephiroth being in control? Sephiroth is the one doing all of this, Jenova is a lifeless husk of cells. This is Ultimania confirmed from forever ago.
      We did get Jenova lore in the Temple that we aren't supposed to get until the Great Glacier area. You don't even learn that Jenova isn't a Cetra until after Aerith dies in the original, nor do you learn about the Weapons or Ifalna.
      They said before release that we wouldn't get many answers about the timeline weirdness in this part, they have to save something for the end. I personally think Cloud's moment where him and Tifa fall into the Lifestream together is when this will get addressed since they used Cloud's original moment for Tifa in this game.
      The Lifestream is this collective unconsciousness that the devs referred too, all these alternate worlds are possibilities in the Lifestream. The main plot is occurring as it should, minus some details.

      I honestly think people are making it way more convoluted than it already is by looking for hidden meanings instead of taking it at its word. It can be fun to speculate but people really go way off script trying to fit the game to their theories rather than starting with what the game actually says.

      If you’re confused about something, it’s because the game hasn’t answered those questions yet. The trilogy isn’t over. This is like me seeing Cloud in the og game explain his backstory and then not remembering what happened to Sephiroth, and then complaining that we didn’t get the answer to that, even though the game answers it later on 💀. Let them cook is all I have to say.

      The ancients having to deal with Jenova I could see them saving until we get to Ifalgna and Gast’s home since in the original game it’s there where you find out Jenova’s true nature. Sephiroth’s true ambitions are probably something they’ll only unveil at the end to keep us guessing about whether he’s on the level about wanting to save the planet or is still just looking to consume a ton of energy and become a god.
      Zack is mostly there for fanservice in this one. I think most of the payoff for keeping him alive will come in Part 3, when Cloud learns Zack is the one that was really the Soldier First Class in Nibelheim. Or possibly whenever they spring Genesis on us, because god forbid we have a FFVII remake without that twit.

    I wonder if the Zack from the DLC is going to become relevant, or if they scrapped it after finally switching to work on Rebirth. All the Zacks from the different timelines are more or less the same, split from a decision made from being in the same situation. The Zack from the DLC doesn't seem to realize what's going, and we also don't see Cloud anywhere. The developers seem to have thought through everything, so I want to believe that that is going somewhere, but who knows.
    Also, I was thinking that the Zack at the church at the end of the game had landed in the Beagle timeline, but this is the Zack that Sephiroth banished while fighting, so why would he send him to the main timeline where he could aid Cloud? Unless, of course, Sephiroth just created a rift and didn't choose where to send him. Maybe Aerith stepped in and chose to land him in the main timeline to reunite him with Cloud. The flowers being alive and healthy might signify that he landed somewhere that has a living and healthy Aerith, though. There are literally endless possibilities now; it's going to make theorizing both challenging and fun!

    I don't see why landing should be a problem. Just don't. Make the airship tethered to some kind of dock, or ground anker. This would suit the charackter of the airship pretty well and establish it metaphorically as something of an other level, like the original Highwind music score already does so eloquently. Now introduce a fancy way to travel up and down to the ship, that also masks loading transitions from a simplified 3d space for the airship to the more complex world map that can be roamed freely. In the flightmap You could even use nebulous clouds to mask details on the surface that take to much capacity to render.

    I feel like we’ll get the water burial when Tifa repairs cloud’s mind however, Tifa will also see what Cloud did in protecting Aerith. As it was briefly shown that Tifa was seeing both timelines, although it ended with her just seeing Aerith being dead and either the whispers took the memories of her seeing Aerith saved away or her just thinking it was a moment of denial. I believe Advent Children Aerith interfered at that point to ensure the planet be saved. Possibly to throw Remake Aerith to a point to where no one other than Cloud seeing Remake Aerith alive. Thus, when Sephiroth brings the worlds together again AC Aerith will bring out Remake Aerith with the Holy materia turned from white to green, or she combines the holy materia she has in the temple with the one she left with Cloud to counteract Sephiroth trying to use more than one black materia

She will wake up in the Terrier world and she and Zack will manage to help the party but ultimately they will be living on in separate worlds which will make it bittersweet. I think Aerith may be also be being used by Minerva if they include Genesis in the story in part 3. How much of the compilation they will use is the bigger mystery for me. If they do plan on including the entire compilation, part 3 will be 1/3 times bigger than Rebirth taking up almost a complete 2 Discs itself with the main story possibly taking close to 60 hours with another 60 hours in side content.

I don’t really get how Biggs knows Cloud’s journey from the main timeline even though Cloud came in with Zack. With Aerith, I’m hoping for being alive in the timeline Cloud created by deflecting Sephiroth with Cloud being a link between the two, favorite character bias that I want her to live. Or she died but Cloud’s psyche is damaged to the point they he thinks he saved her(which is par for the course) and she’s projecting herself from the livestream. This time, in the final game, Zack will be working with Tifa to retrive Cloud's true memory or ability. In which form? I don't know. But When that happens Could will be awake before Aerith did in slum 5 and this time he will truly save her from the infinite death loop she's been stuck with. There is basically no denial that she will be brought back to life in the final game and there is so many hints on it. When sephiroth said in the end "i must admit, i underestimate you!" make clear for me that Aerith made some game shark shit LOL and return to cloud the white materia with her memories back, in these worlds the time is not passing equally so it can be happen easily, because when cloud saved Aerith Sephiroth already said that the worlds are merged, but cloud one time more beat the "fate" and create a new world where Aerith can make her things for stop the meteor. For me is almost certain that Aerith died and survived in that event.
    Other details is like Zack saying the "wind" that saved him was "aerith" in elmyra's house. I really think the Aerith that appears in sephiroth's fight and in midgar for the Church for say goodbye to cloud, that Aerith was the aerith saved in forgotten capital. The only question for me is how dafuq she regain the memories and fill again the white materia, but can be easily explained in part 3 by the prayer she made in forgotten capital or something.

    Honestly, I'm hoping by the end of the third game, they make it and give you the option that allows however you played Rebirth, in the final game Cloud can be with either Aerith or Tifa. Like, them doing the multiverse stuff opens up possibilities lol, and like, if they don't do that, why make it so you can romance Aerith basically in Rebirth if maybe down the line, you can't even have Cloud get with her or Yuffie? I say Yuffie cuz basically you can do the Gold Saucer date with basically anyone lol. But like, it seems pretty obvious there's a connection between Aerith and Cloud, then Cloud and Tifa lol. And with doing the multiverse, you have the chance to do something very different lol. Like, that's a missed opportunity in my opinion if they don't at least give the player an option lol. That and personally, I really liked how Aerith and Cloud bounced off of each other in Rebirth and in Remake. So, I'm hoping they make it so you can actually save Aerith and actually have a happy ending with Aerith since in the original, I know that Cloud eventually does get one with Tifa. Like, idk if anything of what I said makes sense or not, but yea. That's my thinking and hope for the last game.

    My personal headcanon for part 3 atm: I really like the idea of the first half of part 3 being the team losing cloud completely, mentally, and physically, and chasing him down to try and save him. During their travels, its revealed Zack landed in Beagle Church, and through whatever story means, meets the crew and take's clouds place as they endeavor to track down Dark Knight/Black Cloak/Black Materia Cloud. During this time, we get to play as Dark cloud in an interlude or two, simply cause that'd be fukken cool as hell. Finally culminating in the team fighting Cloud and Tifa(NOT ZACK) going into his head and revealing the truth and pulling him back. Cloud then goes from Dark Knight to Paladin Hero Arc, cries a bunch, has a heroic speech with apologies, and spends the rest of the game opening a can of massive whoopass on Sephiroth's shenanigans. Clear Materia becomes CLOUDS "white materia" though Orange instead of White(Orange is the only color I can think of not already taken without getting into weird ass Crayola named shades of whatever). With the end of the original game being about 75% of the game, and the last 25% remake stuff with addressing timelines and Omni Speh/Aerith's fight via whisper proxies coming to a head in the planet. With Jenova getting blasted off the planet Team Rocket style(hojo is James and Jenova is Jessie btw) to become the main antagonist of "Final Fantasy 77 Omega ReReReReReunion: Electric Boogaloo Don't talk to me or my daughter: Jenova the 2nd ever again. I think with the Aerith thing, I *think* they are drawing comparison to Nibelhiem or adding more weight to the moment where cloud snaps. In the OG cloud loses it when Sephiroth and Tifa tell him that he was never in Nibelheim. He completely snaps. Then it turns out that he was there just not how he told it and that's the start of him pulling himself back together. Similarly Cloud believes Aerith is alive and he saved her. Sephiroth and Tifa will tell him she is dead and he'll snap. It'll turn out that he did save her just not as other remembers and not in any substantial way, She'll be gone and the grief will come out (including playing Cody's lines he already recorded where he says the famous "my eyes are burning"). The fact Cody recorded those lines and we're told we'll hear them eventually leads me to believe Aerith really is dead (or ultimately will be).

    This is definitely wishful thinking but I'm really on board of having a team up of Cloud + Zack + Sephiroth to some extent in the final part.
    When the key art for Rebirth was first revealed, it struck me as a possibility to present THREE scenarios for them - if not as a teamup, then at least portray each of them individually.
    Then we got the box art of Zack dragging Cloud to Midgar which further solidifies the possibility of several scenarios being at play ( even if we ignore the Remake + Intermission endings).
    Added to all this are the straight up fleshed out character combat kits for both Zack and Sephiroth... not only are they the first characters we actually play as, but they got complete party member work done - from the idle animations in menus, to combat + equipment portrayal but not editing. This might've come at the expense of Vincent and Cid, but even they were given no small attention in implementation as "party members".
    And the 2 vs 1 showdown in Rebirth even further suggests that the devs are willing to go pretty crazy with their direction, and given where we currently stand, I don't think it's something impossible to happen.

    Aerith is both alive and dead. She's dead in the main world and alive in an alternate world, and Cloud is aware of this alternate world because of Sephiroth's influence on him (he says something about giving him a gift). Every single bit of Zack's side story basically only exists to explain the mechanics of what has happened to Aerith at the end. The reason this is evident is that otherwise, it literally has no bearing on the story and is just wasted time. The reason they specifically chose to make Cloud intervene instead of just watch this time around is the same reason they showed each outcome of Zack's various decisions and went to lengths to differentiate those outcomes: taking action and defying fate creates parallel worlds. Sephiroth also says very clearly that these parallel worlds "exist on this planet" (i.e. it's not like DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths where there's all these distinct planets), all these many dimensions are happening at the same time on the same planet, overlapping, and only people who have connections to these multiple worlds even notice this (you saw this at the end of Remake where Zack carrying Cloud walks right by Aerith. There's a reason they chose to show it this way despite them being on two seperate planes of existence).
    Cloud is aware that Aerith is alive in an alternate world, and is using that fact to hide from Sephiroth and complete her plan, whatever that is. We know from Cloud and Aerith's date that Sephiroth doesn't know where Aerith is automatically: he has to search for her. To what degree Cloud's aware of the entire mechanics of the parallel earths is up in the air, as he doesn't seem to realize the parallel world sky is only visible to him. This also explains why Red can feel her presence: He has a similar connection to the planet.
    It's pretty obvious that this is what they're going for, and the only thing throwing this off is people trying to factor in Cloud's personal repression of everything pre-midgar, and it's honestly pretty clear that they're playing that down heavily and making it indistinguishable from Sephiroth's influence (See: his remembering Zack and remembering inconsistencies is shown with the same effects as having future visions of Aerith dying when Cloud first meets her in Remake).

    Holy materia became the hollow materia, able to contain memories. Maybe they will imprison Sephiroth’s memories from Cloud’s mind, making Sephiroth unable to come back for good.

      I dont think thats how materia works. It contains knowledge of the planet and lifestream.
      The holy matieria only became empty because the whispers removed that knowledge from Aerith.
      If knowledge is imbued into the materia, it doesnt mean it is removed from someones mind. Its not some harry potter memory removing spell that Dumbledore uses.

    Because of fast travel, flying the Highwind won't be your primary transport like in the original game. It'll be more of a fan service gimmick you only actually use for a few things, like the Tiny Bronco. In any case, the next game won't be out for at least 3-4 years, I'm wondering if there's going to be an expansion for Rebirth like Intergrade, maybe late next year or early 2026.

    I want to theorize about Sephiroths explanation of the "truth of reality", it's somewhat an unfinished thought but I believe he was basically saying that everything born to cloud and crews planet, her children as he put it are tied to it, when they perish they return to her, then he explains how a fate is tied to these things, but the powerful emotions of (Gaia?)s' children can create a new world, where their choice broke past fate. I'm thinking he's saying all these choices are connected to obviously the same life stream, that's why in the fight against Jenova red mentions it feels like someone's helping out, cuz Zack, Cloud, and the gang are all defending the same life stream. So this "Multiverse" is only on their planet, for the beings on their planet. So you could think of all their interaction as like what happens when someone gets spirited away to silent Hill. Two different people standing in the same spot of parallel universes being able to hear and even smell each other but not fully connect, at least normally. What y'all think?

    My approach for the end battle is that it happens in Clouds mind. Much as it did at the end of the OG game. Theres a split personality in Clouds mind, the real cloud and the persona that tooks Zack personality. And theres the S cells. So he fights the Cells intentions over his and Zacks Persona Helps him. Then Sephiroth clears Clouds mind of the Persona and the real Cloud is Fighting. Later Aerith joins him. Much like Tifa helped Cloud in the Lifestream, I think Aerith is helping Cloud here. And after the battle, Zacks/Scells persona gets back to reality and the real Cloud still sees Aerith. Theres are even events on the OG that the real Cloud speaks with the persona.I dont realy care if Aerith still dies, makes total sense if she does, but she will still have a presense this way, that she didnt have in the OG. I belive that the empty materia will only fills when the real cloud returns and Aerith will help him along the way. This is my understanding on the rebirth ending.

    These snippets of Ultimania info are only further implying what I suspected after watching the ending, that it's a little bit of everything people are theorizing. It's clear that the Aerith we see Cloud talking to during the ending cinematic is mostly a reflection of his memory of her as all of her lines are repeats from her time with him up until that point. That said, it's not at all that cut-&-dry, as Cloud is also seeing the multiverse rift as well as well as now has a secondary Black Materia in his possession, which aren't hallucinations. I belief this is to show that Cloud is now existing in the multiverse the same way Sephiroth and Aerith are. He's primarily in the Beagle world with the rest of the party and Part 3 will continue to mainly playout there like the past two games, but Cloud consciously is no-longer exclusive to it and it's going to play into how he goes about the world from hereon-out.
    Like, for an example, I'm willing to bet that next time the party sees an image of Stamp somewhere, they'll all see the usual beagle, but Cloud will see a different breed, or when they final return to Midgar, everyone will see the flowers all vibrant, but Cloud will likely see them all withered.

I mean obviously the Ultima Weapon is going to be our end game choice (besides a 4K HD rendition of that void battle where Cloud hits the Omnislash Lvl 5 on Sephiroth is something we've been envisioning for over 20 years), but being able to use the Fusion Sword, complete with brand new gameplay mechanics would be absolutely epic. We've already seen Cloud dual wielding two of those swords in Advent Children while driving Fenrir...OMG THEY BETTER BRING FENRIR BACK!! Based on the Ultimania, the Dog Stars have different numbers, possibly related to their world. Here's my theory:
    * FF7 OG
    ** Zack's World (Church scene)
    *** C.A. Dream World
    **** Zack's World
    ***** FF7R World
    ****** Zack's World (Biggs dies)
    ******* Final Merged World?
    7 is a sacred numbers :
    * 7 seconds
    * 7 Sectors
    * 7 companions left
    * 7th Heaven
    * 7 Worlds
    * Aerith's Birthday (February 7)
    Rebirth set the bar so high for Part 3.
    So, I guess what they should do in Part 3 is maybe,
    Have two main parties:
    Cloud's party & Zack's party as mirrors:
    1. Zack - sword
    2. Dyne - big gun
    3. Zangan / Elena as retired Turk - fist
    4. Zack & Aerith
    5. Seto - fang and claw
    6. Sonnon - spear
    7. Cissnei - shuriken
    8. Another Cait Sith but using a stamp mascot
    9. Biggs - gun (maybe Death Biggs gets experimented on by Hojo)
    The concept is a mirror world just like Chrono Cross.
    Cloud and his party. Zack has an adventure with his party starting from the grassland, but the world is different because there is no Mako anymore.
    Aerith awoke in Zack's world. Cloud sacrificed his life to save Zack in Zack's world.
    The last fight is Cloud's party and Zack's party meeting and fighting Sephiroth together.
    Ending with the world separate :
    Cloud live in his world
    Zack and team live in their world
    Because Sephiroth died for good, there will be no Advent Children event.
    So the last scene is Aerith and Zack parting with Cloud, just like in Advent Children, while "Cloud Smiles" plays in the background.
    For the gameplay:
    1. Two main party members
    2. Explore the world by bike, which can be modified
    3. Sky exploration and submarine exploration
    4. Blacksmithing for creating the ultimate weapon; we have to hunt for materials
    5. The last Limit Break has to be played for each party's special side quest or given by their mirrored party
    6. Three-person synergy attack
    7. Fight summons outside VR
    8. Lots of costumes to change with special stats
    9. New "King's Blood"
    10. Day and night cycle
    11. Jump, climb, roll

    @thenightskyprince going deep on this theory….
    I personally think, that the Aerith we see both at the end of the game and alive in Cloud’s point of view along with the dream world Aerith, is an Aerith from another timeline where she has succumb to Sephiroth, and is totally playing Cloud. But ONLY after she gives him the white materia. She knew this after handing it over and Sephiroth comes walking in behind her. Here’s my reasons:
    1. Aerith says to Sephiroth earlier in the game that “theirs no such thing as forever” and “it’s not a homecoming, it’s not that simple” or something like that. In the Dream world, she says to “think of this place as a homecoming”. Weird.
    2. Up until the end, she stresses to Cloud to just take care of himself and she’ll handle Sephiroth. At the end of the game, her priorities switch in saying she’ll take care of Meteor and makes cloud promise he’ll fight Sephiroth. Almost as if she is playing mind games, the real Aerith wants cloud not to fight Sephiroth but to find his true self, because THAT is the only way to defeat him.
    3. After Sephiroth flicks Aerith blood back at Cloud, is when Aerith seems alive in Clouds mind. Found that odd as well
    The only thing I could think of that would debunk this, is if the devs are expanding from the OG FF7 on the aspect that “Aeriths memories live in all of us” from revisit of the temple of the ancients in disc 2. Cloud says something like this and then also at the end of the game right before fighting Sephiroth. Not to mention that after beating Sephiroth he sees Aeriths hand but it’s really Tifas pulling him up as the high wind crashes in the northern crater for a rescue
    Note that, I believe the Aerith that comes into the final battle is NOT the Aerith that I think is bad - I believe this is “Omni-Aerith”.
    I know I’m bouncing all around but hopefully it all makes sense. Cannot wait for Part 3! My bet is it’s called “Return”. I have a whole theory behind that one too! 😊

    Ever since we've gotten the junon region map from the initial demo last summer, I've been wondering how on earth they're going to handle the Highwind for the scale of the map they're going with... The map is waayyyy too small for the use of the Highwind to feel in any way impactful. It will amount to nothing more than an overglorified fast travel system if they don't increase the size of the playable map by a few whole numbers. Since we can already assume the Tiny Bronco will be used to some extent, but that can already traverse 6km of ocean in only just a couple minutes if that, while acting as a boat, conceivably the TB will be faster by air. The highwind is described in game as the largest most advanced airship in the fleet. MUCH faster than the Tiny Bronco, a single cabin transport.
    Good Highwind traversal would be able to get to anywhere from anywhere else in Rebirths map in no more than a minute. At that point you might as well have just fast travelled.
    Either they abstract away returning to Midgar as a completely separate map to explore that needs a dedicated loading screen with the Highwind traversal being scrapped and relegated to fast travel mechanic, OR part 3's playable map is going to be several times bigger than it is now. Midgar is canonically in game 6 km wide, but in Rebirth, it's only 1.8 km wide.
    Their comments confirm this exact dilemma they find themselves facing.

    Well, the Lifestream, being effectively a 'physical' collective unconscious should, in theory, be powerful enough to connect to other worlds through their respective lifestreams in a sort of of 'greater collective unconscious' of the 'World' that cimprises any and all shared timelines/branch worlds.
    It helps if you have some idea of what 'Many Worlds Interpretation' of the multiverse is.
    Basically, for every choice/possibility that 'wasn't made', a whole new world splits off from it into its own divergent timeline/reality.
    Normally, they'd be mutually exclusive and thus unable to interact with each other, but that's where the lifestream being a physical collective unconscious bit I mentioned earlier comes in.
    I suppose you could say that the power of the mind, times a whole llanet, can act as a sort of 'observer' to their reality who are... also aware of other worlds by virtue of being essentially higher up the ladder from us mere mortals and our limited awareness.
