Thanks mate it's great for smashing through the gravels bit tricky to refine down but once you get it dialed there faster than a Hi banker we've run them head to head and it got more gold worth every cent bro good luck with it cheers
Thanks mate it’s a great pan and your surrounded by old workings too my advice go to Zeehan through the spray tunnel head south down the creek test as u go it’s worked for me in the past ,happy hunting cobba cheers
@@tazyt3388 awsome, thanks for the tips....according to a map i downloaded there is an old shaft about 50 meters from my house in rosebery. Got a small turbopan but was unclear how to use it till i saw ur vid. cheers

I have 2 of thoes, one for me and one for the Mrs. Didn't quite know how to use it till now. Great video. Now just want a few cheap sives, can't believe the price of a 5 piece set. Any ideas on where to find a bargain?
glad it helped you mate i used sieves from the salvation army store for years 50cents each and the bunnings water tank top intake sieves are 1/4 inch mesh and about 10 bucks hope you find some gold mate good luck cheers
gotta say i’ve gotten so used to it now i do the same mate its a very capable pan that’ll produce with many panning techniques too still stoked with it after all these years appreciate ya comments mate cheers
It might be alright to make quick concentrates... but I wouldn't use it to pan gold. When panning for gold, you don't want a pan that has you chasing heavy material in different locations.
i agree 100% mate it has its place but catches everything i always finish the concentrates with the black standard pan though its just what im used to thanks for commenting cheers
@@tazyt3388 - I can see how it would save time as a good field pan. Would make quick work of spot panning to find place for your high banker or dredge.
@@sylentxtinction2097 exactly what I use it for mate it’s perfect for un classified quick tests to locate spots I do luv it and for 30$ it’s a great tool
Out of curiosity why does the pan have to be submerged, wouldn't it be easier to get a better spin if movement wasn't restricted or is it just in case a spillover happens it'll be contained
Gday mate great question from what I’ve learned it’s not how fast it’s rotating it’s the vortex that centralises the heavy’s and let’s the lighter material exit over the outer lip ,keeping it submerged helps stratification and you can literally just keep adding material and concentrating it down .I’ve run whole buckets through and then finished up in the standard black pan ,it’s pretty efficient but speed increases spillover and loses gold through inertia.for the money it’s a great pan for testing a creek I hope that helps mate cheers
@tazy T yeah that makes sense, i just ordered my first turbopan and hoping to start panning for Placer deposits within the next month, I feel like this style should do good with the smaller flour gold from glacial deposits.
It took about a night n some different samples I use for testing gear , too see how good it was .bloody great all-rounder mate and Aussie made too friggen brilliant
Earlier today i watched a bloke using one saying exactly the opposite. Anti clockwise so the riffles act like a sluice then clockwise to dump the lighter stuff. Colour me now confused. All i know is i was looking forward to mine before it came and it left me meh. Prefer my minelabs progold.
@@davidmackieson4609 yeah lots of people think the same mate its not an easy pan to master but i like it for smashing through un classified material down to concentrate then finish in a standard black pan it works for what i do but i guess thats the point of trying these things find what works for you and go for it good luck out there i hope your finding plenty of shiny stuff cheers
Mate I agree to a point it has a place in my kit mostly for quick sampling without need of a sieve but it’s great on clay based areas especially if u just want to keep loading it up 5 or 6 times then finish in the black pan ,different strokes for different folks I guess appreciate your feed back mate hope your getting heaps cheers
@goldsluicetinkerer exactly mate its all about the fun factor i still go back to the ol black pan on most trips clean up with the turbo pans a pain but for smashing through stuff down to concentrate its brilliant
