Your food always looks tasty and healthy. Other's on bike touring often seem to live on dried noodles and processed food. It's good to see you are eating so well.
Hi Al!! It was absolutely great, to bad we had to leave early. But there is still a nice episode coming from Cambodia... Hope you are doing good? All the best from us!
Greetings from Siem Reap (been here for 7 months now - my cycle tour ain't going anywhere fast). The fruit is a Citrus maxima (also called Pomelo), delicious.
@@WheelstoWander Yeah, my plan was to cycle Thailand and Malaysia, get a plane then cycle Korea & Japan, then was thinking aeroplane again and across Canada & Northern USA (but that last leg might have been a push! for this trip). I reached Langkawi just as Covid was beginning to hit Japan - so i cycled to Hat Yai, train to BKK, then started to cycle to Saigon. Got as far as Siem Reap when the borders closed. So been here seven months now. I could possibly get to the UK, but flights are expensive and take over 24 hrs + there is level 3 lockdown in my area + I have nowhere to live - so it's complicated. Cambodia is nice enough, friendly people, very few cases, everything open as normal (7 months might be overdoing it a bit though :)
Another great video! RUclips suggested you two a month ago, and I've finally caught up watching your entire two year journey - so incredible! Also, extra shout out to your video editing! It's incredible how good your video editing and sound mixing has been, especially given being on the road. The fact that you all are at home, and the production values are as good as when riding on the Pamir is amazing. Hope you two are doing well, and I look forward to the rest of the videos from this trip, and from future trips!
Thanks for your concern Zuzana! We do have pomelo's in the supermarkets back home and where not sure this was the same fruit. Actually we also forgot the name 😉 All the Best
Hi Brad! Quite busy on the roads but very laid back people. Yes, we were also happy about that. The Laos - Vietnam crossing had us a bit worried 😅 Thanks & All the Best, E&M
Leuke video's....ook veel op avontuur geweest naast jaren zeekayaken en now long-distance walking projects. Covered over 25000+ km recent years. Maar ja alles word gewoon en allemaal niet zo spannend meer als lang geleden. The more hings change the more they remain the same.... maar ja wildkamperen is zo leuk
Dank! Dat klinkt als een geweldige set avonturen en wat een ongelofelijke afstand!. Het is zeker een uitdaging om de uitdaging uitdagend te houden 😉 All the Best, E&M
Nice one! So far ur the only cicloturist I follow who hasn't revealed their time during lockdown yet, can't wait to see how you handle it! Still, stay safe, be good and keep on with your magic!
Thank you Michele! At the moment we are back home and that's not too interesting for video. So we are editing the remaining footage and hope to give you guys something nice to watch. All the Best, E&M
Nice to experience that, in the relatively safety of our homestead, we can still enjoy your journey. It looks if it will not be for soon that you both can think of a new adventure, but we can still enjoy your passed queeste! Anyway, I still love your video's in more than one way! An you will know what I mean!! Love, Dad
Wow... you even have a drone. Lots of attention and work into making a nice video like this one. Are you gonna be on the road ever again ? Where if so and again in bicycle or maybe upgrade a little ?
Thank you Mathieu! Nice you noticed the work going into these videos. Yes, we are saving up for the next adventure as we speak. We would love to upgrade lots of things but adventure comes first 😉
@@WheelstoWander So you don't know yet where you will go and how you will travel. Adventure can be had in many ways so your answer leaves all the doors open ! Personally, if I can get back home the same way I came down here but with original travel loop I had in mind,I will be very happy... After that, I don't know. Just escaping the winter always came and comes first for me. As for traveling, moving a lot is not all fun and staying long time in the same area either. But I think limiting myself exploring one country per trip would be the best way to enjoy both ways of traveling. I don't know. I really enjoy going to the beach every day or so and coming back to same room and town... Brazil is the last new country I would like to go....
I watched almost all of your videos. All of them are brilliant. Brilliant like both of you. I enjoy it and since I am watching you I am dreaming to do the same. Stay like you are and also healthy. By the way, have you posted somewhere your video equipment what you are using?
I´ve just seen on the news there are heavy floods in Cambodia. Sure hope you´re nowhere near that area! Do stay safe! It´s a weird time we´re living in. Wish you all the best on your future trip!
We did too Karina, it's terrible! Our hearts go out to the people that have lost family and friends! We are save and back home. Thanks and All the Best for you too!!
I've enjoyed watching your channel.. Very enlightening and inspiring.. Love your commitment on journey.. Will you be coming to Malaysia since you already in Thailand..
Thank you so much again for this great video :-) Love Pomelo they are so great and yummy. Im so sorry that your travel around the world get hit by corona. Do you already have plan for a new start? Greets from Switzerland Oliver
Hi Oliver! Your welcome 😊 The pomelo was a great discovery! We reached our endgoal of South East Asia so we're happy we could do that. We are planning our next adventure but are not yet sure where it will take us... All the very best, E&M
Finally you are here!! Pray you guys always stay healthy. Hmm... Once again drone is back.. Loved it. Can you please tell me what drone are you using and how much it cost?? Oh jeez, hopefully you go as planned. Good luck.
Thanks Moks! Glad you liked the drone shots. We shot them with the DJI Spark, you can look up the price online. We can already say things didn't go as planned but we are very happy to be safe and sound. Take Care!! E&M
Thanks Ma Ni! In the following video we discus our bikes: ruclips.net/video/x20yIv5gd7Q/видео.html A gear video about the tent, burner, etc. will be out somewhere in the future... All the Best!
AT 5:28, the small, circular depressions in the field, towards the bottom of the picture, but leading to the small hill just left of the tent, could these be the remains of mortar fire or something larger? Probably just a natural feature, but it looks kind of odd.
I am planning to backpack Southeast Asia on a budget and staying in a tent when I can (To save money and being in solitude with nature). I am, however, very concerned about unexploded ordinances in Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. The mental image of me putting a tent stake in the ground and having my legs blown off is terrifying. Is there a way to safely camp or will I have to stay in hostels and Buddhist temples?
Please do inform yourself well on the whereabouts of landmines! Temples are a possible option, always ask first. Hostels are not that expensive so consider those too. Good luck, enjoy and stay safe!
Just out of curiosity, when was last time you guys had a proper shower ? Also, how long have you been without having one especially in remote places and how do you manage let's say washing your clothes ? Hope you don't mind telling us..:) Thank you in advance and happy trails !
