    Sir, then what about the new policy that is direct phd after four years bachelor's? Here, the last year of bachelor's will be fully inclined to research which is equivalent to the thesis or research that the students of masters are doing now. Will it not be saving the time of the students who are opting 4 years bsc along with research and also thinking of direct phd ?

    How can I get into a PhD program in India's top research institutes if I don't have NET , GATE or JEST qualifications. And how can I get into research institutes in abroad.

      In India you can apply for IIT, IISER and IISc and other institutions for PhD. Check the admission process in their web page. Sometimes they interview without exams. Otherwise you may need to give some exam for short listing. You can apply abroad in USA, Japan, Europe etc. see these videos

    Sir
    I’m currently pursuing BTech Hons in Biotechnology and Biochemistry… and I'm doing my 6th semester right now … I’d like to know if it’s better to do a direct PhD or do it after my Masters (even though there are corresponding dangers to both) I'd like to stay in research field… preferably abroad or any premium institutions in India…
    Also, I did some internships at institutes like RGCB, NIMS etc and is planning/ trying to pursue it from ICMR etc
    The thing is I don't want to end up achieving nothing

      My personal opinion is that doing a masters is a good idea before doing a PhD. That is what I myself had done. It gives you better background in terms of courses and builds confidence.

      @@Drganguli but isn't it time-consuming sir? Also if I'm pursuing Mtech I'd need to invest 3 in it plus 3-4 (on avg) on PhD soooo... Also, many uni offer master's along with PhD right??? Like IISC?

    • @Drganguli
      @Drganguli  4 месяца назад +1

      @@nandhana2862 True. That is why it is the call of the student. The professors also try to take precocious students for direct PhD so they have less problems. If someone is sure of their desire to do research then direct PhD is the way to go. In general if you get admission into direct PhD, you should be able to do it. There is generally an exit path with masters in most cases too.

      Do you mean integrated Mac/phd? I think that is a good idea. Also, if you mean the integrated bs/ms that is also a good idea.
