Thats a hard question... for me i think it was between 150 and 200 euro but it depends on where you buy the parts or get reused parts. The most expensive was the sensor
the motor is a old window wiper motor from a ford transit the sensor is this one www.thingiverse.com/thing:454584 i have new more powerful motor a 220 volt 3 phase geared motor but i did not find the time to install it.
I do not think so the price of fillament is to low now. In the begining of 3d printing time maybe. You can safe some money with recycling waste plastics
@@makerbear thank you for your help i will check it out so for this project i find that most thingiverse things talk only about the extruder but in fact this project contains other parts like the Lazer that calculates the accuracy the warm bath and the cold one the dryer after bath to remove humidity the winder which i didn't figure out yet and finally the piece that guides the filament as it stocks in the winder. For me I'm just starting to learn cad programs so i don't have the ability yet nor the idea how I'm going to design this also for others work I'm not convinced yet with the designs i found till now thank you again for the keyword i will check it out definitely maybe I'll find something interesting 🙂
I’m surprised there aren’t more views. Great work
thanks
Great job dude...i used another layout to mount my extruder, but work very well too..
Hello, very good.
Can you explain to me about your laser diameter gauge?
Awesome build!!! what sort of +/- accuracy did you get out of the filament?
Abort in the range of 0.10mm
What kind the sensor do you use for mesuring the diameter of filament?
CNC EVOLUTION here you you wil find more info ulletjes filament extruder found on #Thingiverse www.thingiverse.com/thing:1454222
Would a water bath work for cooling the filament down or is air just easier
It can work. But i try but it is very dificult and hard to get it richt and i converted back to air
hi sir can you please tell me what is the difference of using air or water cooling system ?
what is the cost incurred? can you post the description of making the extruder

Hi, you think can anyone earn money with a home made filament extruder machine?
I do not think so the price of fillament is to low now. In the begining of 3d printing time maybe. You can safe some money with recycling waste plastics
👍
Cost in machine
I think around 150 dollar
hello is it possible to have a video and firmware of the filament system please ??
www.thingiverse.com/thing:1454222
Do you provide stl or source files thanks
search thingiverse for thingiverse lyman extruder you wil have heaps of stl files and plans and idea's
and this is my simplified desing but in this movie i use the lyman mulier firmware but with my wiper motor and a simpel pot pwm speed controller
