The name Srirangapatna gives a hint of what temple the town is famous for. It is disappointing that you could not guess it correctly. It is Sri Ranganathaswamy. There are actually three temples, Adi Ranga, Madhya Ranga, and Anthya Ranga all dedicated to Ranganatha and on the banks of the Kaveri.
