Lynette you are awesome woman I my self looked a Chanel names tiny notes from home and you Chanel was recommended to my I am so glade to find you you are wonderful and your family also greteengs from Sister in christ from Austria
I love your videos. Everytime I see them it continues to drift me to my younger days, I mean to the sixties and seventies. And yes at one point there were mennonites in Puerto Rico with their colonies.
My family was mennonite 4 generations ago in York County PA. Our PA Dutch recipes are still being passed down to the next generation. Meadow tea is one recipe that never turns out as good as my grandmother's. After seeing your recipe I see that I need to use more mint! Thank you!
Great recipes. Enjoyed your video. Here in Texas, we call it Queso instead of cheesy hamburger dip. I'll use ground beef, onion, season it with ground chili and cumin, instead of tomato soup, we use Rotel (diced tomatoes with chili's) and velveeta.
Hi Lyn! Happened upon your videos tonight. I'm from just outside Chicago, but I attended college in Wayne Co, OH, and your mention of Holmes Co & Troyer products brought back fond memories. Always felt the items I purchased from Amish and Mennonite businesses there were exceptionally crafted. Hope to visit the area again soon. :) Thanks for the trip down memory lane!! Best wishes.
I grew up with a German mother, and we always had peppermint and spearmint tea. I always have it at home. All 9 of my children love it as well. Thank you for sharing your home and recipes!
Hi Lynette I am a new subscriber and have enjoyed watching your channel, your home styling is uplifting and your are inspiring mummy wife and caregiver Im a first nation person from rural Australia
I grew up drinking fresh garden tea so i went to mom's and gathered a bag full and i can hardly wait to get some mixed up it smells divine😋i also fixed a container of cold brew so I'll be able to enjoy both on Sunday thanks for sharing
I will difiantely be trying these recipes. especially the tea and coffee drinks. My husband would LOVE the seasoned pretzels and Hamburger Cheese Dip. thank you for sharing,
Just wanted to let you, I tried the mint tea and I loved it. It made my whole house smell so good and it tasted even better. I've been growing mint for so long and it never occurred to make cold tea. Game changer!
I’ve loved your vlogs for a long time now. They’re never too long! Wonderful recipes all the time. Now, about Oaklyn ...she is just so so precious that I can hardly stand it!! She does look just like her daddy and her brothers of course. You’re in there too lol! Such gorgeous big eyes. God Bless y’all!🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
I really appreciate that you packed so many recipes into one video instead of trying to stretch each one of them into one that meets that 10 minute mark. The recipe I'm most excited to try is the seasoned pretzels. As soon as I can find some sugar at the store (it's been about 3 months now) I'm so making those!
Hi Lynnette im new to your ch.I love your recipes are you Amish have great recipes. The Amish are very swert and compassionate people I really admire them. They are very polite christian people.thanks for sharing.I wants to see lots of Amishbrecipes
Your channel popped up in my suggested list. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. I've made the seasoned pretzels, many times! I usually bake them in the oven for 5 - 10 minutes at 250. They are an addictive snack! Cheeseballs are something I make for family get togethers. Right now my favorite one is a cheddar cheese with horseradish. Thanks for the other ideas!
Oh my gosh, I love these cooking videos, and I love your voice overs. It’s awesome keep it up. I will watch every video you put out and share it. I don’t think there’s anything that you have made. I do not want to make so I have quite a bit of ideas, but I love more thank you.
I always love when you share recipes!! We live in Texas but I was born & raised in Ohio. A lot of your recipes are some variation of what we grew up on. Everything looks so yummy. Thanks for sharing. God bless and keep you all safe and sound. Brenda
I grew up in a Mennonite church. I remember this tea or something very similar growing up. It was served at every get together. I absolutely hated it but everyone else loved it. I don’t think they ever sweetened it. Maybe that’s why. I’ll be 53 this year and can still remember the taste and hate any kind of tea.
My family is Mennonite and we absolutely love the mint tea. We call it meadow tea. My dad tried for years to grow flowers right next to the tea plants it failed pretty miserably the tea took it all over
I tried your bar recipe with Betty crocker butter pecan cake mix and substituted brown sugar for white sugar For the topping.Delicious Thanks.Your children are precious
FIRST OF ALL, MISS OAKLAND IS ADORABLE!! OH MY!! I AM A SNACKER & THESE ARE GREAT RECIPES I CAN FORESEE USING THESE RECIPES FOR GATHERINGS AFTER THE QUARANTINE IS OVER!! THEY GIVE ME SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO!!!
I have been making mint tea using herbal tea bags because I didn't know how much fresh mint to use. I'm so glad to have your recipe for the concentrate! I also like to squeeze a few lemons into my pitcher of mint tea sometimes too! The flavors go really well together!
Hello Lynette, my name is Manuela.I live close to Lucerne city in Switzerland. I go every Sunday morning to ICL Church. That is the international church of Lucerne. It is the only English speaking church we have here. Before Covi19 came up a lovely Mennonite Family from America visited our church. It was nice to get to know them. I enjoy watching your videos. You've got a lovely family and home. You are such a nice young woman. Best wishes Manuela
Love all the recipes! Mint tea is what we call the tea and it's my favorite kind. I like to sweeten mine with honey instead of sugar. It's really soothing for a sore throat and helps with seasonal allergies!
I make a similar party mix, but use apple cinnamon cheerios, honey graham cereal and mix peanut butter into the white chocolate. It is addictive! Sweet and salty! Thanks for sharing these recipes.
That was so much fun to watch! I'm definitely making the cookie bars for church. Thanks for sharing your talents and your sweet family. Peace and blessings! ~L
I have some trail bologna and Dubliner cheese in the fridge. I don't care if it is 6:58 am. Your blog made me hungry and I'm going to get some! hahaha It is so great to see someone else talk about their much loved spearmint tea. I grew up on it and find it so refreshing to drink! I didn't really think of it as Menn. tea, but that was what we were, Menn. All of your children have wonderful smiles and it was good to see so much of Oaklyn's smiles today. Loved this food video. Keep en' coming. :)
I live about a half an hour from Nappanee! We are “English” but have lived among the Amish all of our lives 😊. I will have to check out Main Street Roasters. Really enjoying your videos Lynette! ❤️
I used to make the cheesy hamburger dip in the crockpot when our kids were in highschool, as a study snack. I always used Ro-tel tomatoes. Haven't thought about it in years! Thank you for the memory jog!
I just discovered your channel Lynette. You are a joy to watch. I plan on trying some of these recipes very soon. I want to make the finger jello for my grandsons. They will love it.
Those all look like a great snack night. We love snacks for dinner, I’ll try these for sure! Your videos are wonderful, such a bright spot in these crazy times we are living in. God Bless You!☺️
Oh my gosh! I grew up eating all of those recipes, except the cheeseburger dip....I’m not Amish or Mennonite, however I grew up not far from “Amish Country” (a big Amish region) of our state. So, I just considered the recipes regional to my area! We used Peppermint and lemon in our tea. It reminds me of my childhood. I loved seeing them on YT! Oaklynn is getting sooo big! She's all smiles! Awww!
Can’t wait to try these recipes! Thanks so much😍 We grow spearmint and make homemade tea too! I find when I use a cheesecloth I wait for the water to cool down enough before taking it out and the squeeze the cheese cloths to get all I can out, it makes it WAY stronger in flavor, just an idea!
Hello Lynette! I really enjoyed your video and have subscribed. I just wanted to share another variation for topping your cheeseball. You can roll it in paprika or chili powder for a different take. I would recommend chili powder if you use jack or colby cheese in the mix. Also, you could pour some salsa over the top and serve with tortilla chips.
My mouth is watering! Everything looks so good. I am a Hoosier (born and raised in Indiana). Happy to hear about the coffee company. New to your channel but have subscribed and will be binge watching!
Julia Burkley if it is what I suspected than the transition happened in the twinkling of an eye!!! Because the same thing happened to me. I have been born again or spiritually regenerated and I think the same thing happened to this gal!!!
I've saved the recipes for later. Certainly will use some. Oaklynn was fascinated more on you and what you were doing than the camera lens. Shes learning. Stay well ~Blessings
Too long??? Loved your sharing so many great recipies. Even though I haven't tried these I will definitely make these because they contain things I already like so I know I will love these creations. I also loved seeing your beautiful daughter.
Oops 🙊 I think I might have said it’s deer bologna. My mom informed me that Trail bologna isn’t deer bologna! It’s just beef 😄 My bad!

You should create a cookbook, I would totally buy!

I learned about the Meadow Tea/Mint tea when I moved to Lancaster County PA over 50 years ago. It is so refreshing on a hot summer day. 💙
Not too long! I love all the different kinds of recipes ❤️
I made my cheeseball with chopped ham, green onions, tabasco sause and Worcestershire sauce all mixed into just cream cheese. It was delicious.

Lynette, thanks for sharing the recipes. I can not wait to try the dessert recipe. It looks delicious! Thanks again. I love when you share recipes!
LOVE the cheesecloth idea. I make lemon balm tea and have stopped making cold brew, but may have to make it again. Thanks.
I love watching you cook. Sometime simple and comfort is what we need.
When I was a small child, there was spearmint growing wild in our yard. I remember nibbling on the leaves. So good!

Julia Burkley if it is what I suspected than the transition happened in the twinkling of an eye!!! Because the same thing happened to me. I have been born again or spiritually regenerated and I think the same thing happened to this gal!!!
