I've heard about red meaning sensing danger. However, in the scene there wasn't anything creeping up behind him. All he did was say "Nightmare". So, to me, I didn't feel like he was sensing danger. Of course he knows it can be dangerous, but it seemed to me that he was more upset/discouraged than watchful. Maybe I'm wrong. There's only one scene with red so it can be hard to say for sure.

Sometimes (all the time), anime/game soundtrack licensing can be a real pain in the ass as it doesn’t always come with the series deal and have to be purchased separately. Also, it’s 4Kids. They’re as cheap as they come.
I like meta knights pink and red eye change one shows he's actually pissed off while pink shows he feels appreciated and flattered X3 but when he sees Kirby for the first time in the anime his eyes looked shocked and when he says "Kirby...but how?' like he knows this how's he is and who he belongs to but I assume he's the dad but then again he can be his uncle for all i know
this came out a fair amount before Kirby really had much lore, and the show does technically have it's own lore. Though it definitely would be cool to have a new Kirby anime with a modern Kirby lens!
This show also influenced the Kirby lore on some subtle level too. Meta Knight's modern design for his sword, along with its name being Galaxia, came from the anime. And his current role as a mentor-rival to Kirby is something this show fully established. And Kirby being some hyper-powerful extraterrestrial, that despite their nature just wants to relax and eat food, was pretty much lifted 1 to 1 by the time Star Allies came out.
