2020 is nearly at an end, and silver looks set to end the year ahead of its sister metal gold.
As of mid-December, the white metal was up about 40 percent year-to-date compared to gold's rise of roughly 19 percent. But which precious metal will win out in 2021?
Speaking to the Investing News Network, EB Tucker, author of the book "Why Gold? Why Now?," said silver will "definitely" take the lead again next year.

How can one determine that price or even guess with such manipulation of paper contracts with the crimex .
The price can be manipulated short-term (mainly for the purposes of calls/puts). It is NOT suppressed
Ed, both Gold and Silver are absolutely an investment, if you coin PM's as only an asset, but this asset is severely undervalued and not only has potential for enormous gains but outperforming other investments, this is undoubtedly is an asset.

2020 GLD ETF Earned Thirty percent Profit
I see huge upside for NOVA Royalty Stock. It's currently very cheap at $3 USD< and will probably go over $16 USD - probably in under 4 years
No mention of Uranium. The most Green, energy efficient and now much safer power supply. With the advent of SMR's it's even more exciting going forward.
Except for Fukushima polluting the Pacific ocean, Chernobyl, Three Mile island...
Uranium is insanely toxic and ecologically contaminating to mine. It comes with all sorts of complications. Depending on where it’s mined It can be incredibly expensive to compensate for all those issues.

same with his book, the whole point seemed to be buy metalla , its better than physical, better than paper. That said I did buy metalla and it has gone up.
@@Sticks-of-TNT-tf1tn ya but, when you dig into the stock you will see each leg up was from a reverse split. You have 5 shares and now you have 1, and slowly the share price trends up. With the current nose dive of metalla I am sure another reverse split is in the wings.

Weak dollar is better for the Fed, better for US companies in trade outside the USA if I remember right. PM's are good for people trying maintain savings/buying power. If your goal is to generate a stream of income. It's not PM's. That won't do it at all. Took me a few years to figure that out!

In 2017 they released a statement saying BITCOIN was a "Scam" and when it crashed... JP Morgan loaded up and purchased millions of dollars worth if bitcoin.... so yes... these powerful institutions manipulate the markets. Im 100% sure of it. Gold and silver would be much much higher... The question is... why hasn't Bitcoin been reigned in yet??

Last night Silver was moving hard on the upside when suddenly it crashed back down inexplicably. There's definitely shenanigans going on just like the presidential election.

Got his book, bought into the hype, my bad. Fortunately, I'm "positioned for the trend". For me, EB lost a lot of credibility with his $2500 gold, $40 silver predictions by end of 2020. IMHO, ridiculous and irresponsible.

While I'm new to gold/PM's, I'm not new to sales. EB is a good salesman. But trust is easily lost and extremely tough to win back. I'll remain very interested in what he has to say. But I will listen with a lot more caution.
@@boardgamerants Holding gold and silver requires patience. If you do not have the patience, it is not for you. Keep in mind that gold and silver have been money for thousands of years.

Doesn’t silver have more valuable properties? In terms of conductivity and being more heavily utilized in EV batteries and various other tech
Gold has properties that are unique. Gold does not oxidize or corrode. For this reason, device contacts are gold coated (i.e. USB ports, cell phone jacks,, etc.) Gold is widely used in semiconductors and space applications. Satellites have gold-coated mylar sheets to protect from solar radiation. Unlike silver, all applications that use gold for its properties can ONLY use gold.
Gold can be used instead of silver, but silver is just cheaper hence its more widely used in many industries
I'm not convinced the public will be largely sold on electric cars for some time to come. Today's combustion engines just do everything too well. Especially in trucks.

The smartest guys like Rick Rule won't give predictions on price. Just that the fundamentals are very posive or the wind is in golds sails. Its foolish to give price predictions.

EB doesn’t think that the market is “manipulated” but does he believe there is (re)hypothecation.
If so, and his business is to profit fully off the price of gold going higher than shouldn’t his business and others like it be leading the fight against (re)hypothecation!?!
Shouldn’t it be a priority and a responsibility they take seriously in order to get the most profits for their share-holders?
I haven’t heard of anything like that from such businesses in order to sure up the confidence in the market or for their companies, and why most people in society are unlikely or unwilling to invest in this sector. Which is a disservice to those already invested.
Until this is rectified than I see little upside potential or at a minimum a muted upside in the potential for profiting in the sector.

The price of gold/silver would be held down and that would be good for the consumer but not for royalty companies and for the people interested in buying them.
Your post is strange. EB is making the claim that because the USA is printing massive amounts of dollars, the value of the dollar will continue to decline. Historically when the dollar declines gold prices will rise. It's not some conspiracy theory, it's just simple macro economics. Gold is the rock that for thousands of years has prevailed when currencies are in question. Nothing fancy about that. BTW the dollar is sinking and interest rates are near zero - Gold should do very well. And if not Bitcoin will step in and do the exact same thing. Pick your poison but the cards have been dealt.
@@clayknowles7382 I’m not doubting that. My argument is that because of (re)hypothecation the price of gold/silver will not rise as much as EB argues (or has done so in the past in previous interviews).
Therefore his company, being that it is a royalty company and derives its profit from the sale of gold should be diligently working with regulators and other mining companies at prosecuting actors that engage in the practice of (re)hypothecation. I.e. banks, etc.
If the practice is not eradicated and continues at the level it currently does than the investors in royalty and mining companies are being let down and thus not receiving their maximum profit from the sector.
Of course going up against the banking system is a task that they will fail at because the system is rigged(courts in the USA) and that’s why most say the market is manipulated(😉) and that is why investing into royalty companies and mining companies have been outside the mainstream for a long time.

EB is one of my favourites along with RICK RULE. They both are concise and enlightening in there interviews without all the hype that comes with some of the over interviewees.
I wouldnt put EB Tucker in the same class as Rick Rule. EB Tucker makes predictions of price within certain time frames thats a foolish thing to do. Rick Rule is far too smart for that, He will say the fundamentals are very positve for gold but wont give price predictions

Green energy might be fine for quick turnaround investments to play the trend of the day that’s fine. But long-term green energy is too problematic to maintain itself unless some serious technological changes occur. And I think within those serious technological changes that will occur as it’s researched new disruptive technologies will present themselves that will take the place of what we are focusing on today. So don’t get too overburdened with what we think is green energy today.This man is wishful thinking because he’s so invested in those areas.

I like this guy, but he was very wrong on his call of $40 silver by year’s end and $2500 gold. That DOES make it an investment based on when he made that call. That would not have been slow growth. Gold actually IS an investment because the dollar is an anti-investment. “I was wrong, so buy my royalty stock.” Don’t downplay it when your call is so, so wrong. He should take a few months off of predicting the future.
I think those prices will be their in 2021 and I think inflation will be even a little higher then what he is saying.

You can buy it on the Saxo Bank platform and you can have an ISA with Saxo. It's a slightly more complicated site compared with HL for example, but it's cheaper and good when you get the hang of it

@@sidkings No problem, I signed up with them as it's quite good for Canadian miners, Interactive Brokers is good for the really small miners but you can only have a brokerage account (no ISA) and it's platform is very trader orientated - hope that is of some use

I took my bitcoins and bought a Tesla which made my silver copper and nickel stocks do well. Funny my oil stocks did well too. Oh oil went to zero 9 months ago. I guess oil isn’t going away. He basically had to stand on his head to explain why his end-of-year prediction on gold missed so badly. So let us not forget he's a fund manager and he not talking to us here - he's talking to his client base. So I believe the CBs are so ruthlessly proficient at suppressing the gold price, that it will stay under $2,000 until something big really gives.

Why doesn’t the market just have a gold backed bitcoin so we can end the conversation about that. Then I’m in and every time I look at my gold I feel my bitcoins jingle too
There is gold backed crypto - but bitcoin has its own scarcity so doesn’t need to be backed like that.
@@cllucas4 It surely does.... bitcoin is not a sure thing for one reason only. It needs a government buy in.... it could be sanctioned.. taxed whatever. Central banks worldwide have gold reserves for a reason. To give their currency credibility besides their nations economic prowess if you have gold as a reserve to your bitcoin... you take that option away from governments. It becomes more complicated. Governments control the digital highway.. economic highway and rules they are governed by. Bitcoin has a market that is currently not governed by govt... yet. scarcity is just one factor to be considered in a store of wealth. that’s why I say tying to gold makes sense... it would be more difficult to decouple that equation... the worlds govts with military industrial complexes and central banks with gold is essentially who call the shots. Bitcoin doesn’t have either. in a blink it could turn into Fugazi ... a woozie ... fairy dust... a bit dust pile of rubble.
Bitcoin will fail as soon as it gets big enough that it forces the Feds hand. It's success will be it's own failure.
