Yeah man, it's a beautifully built truck but so many hours into that people never realize. I get a kick out of guys who scoff when someone says a build cost $100-200k and they say I could do that for $50k. Absolutely if you do everything yourself you can build a nice truck that I think the majority of people would be happy with but quality in comparison is quite different and the price is so much because you are paying people who are highly skilled and passionate to take your build to the next level. I'm glad I have friends who can afford these trucks cause I'll never own one but I can appreciate what they've got.

@@IR-nq4qv thanks man. A back story would be good especially since I met KC in a parking garage that we use to skate down at night. He showed up with some of his friends to a session and they were sitting on their boards luging down. I use to do all the media following and filming on my board. Next thing I know he's asking me to send him the footage and shortly after that he invited me to roll with him to SEMA 2016 and document the entire trip and that kind of led me where I am currently at today.
Yeah I intentionally went clickbaity with the thumbnail, sorry about that but HEY happy to see people getting back in the action. KC will be stoked to see the response.
I'll talk to him. Once a month might be better. I mean we'd all like weekly for sure but i'm not sure how much there would be to showcase on the weekly. As far as Shopdad goes, I still hang out with him, we just grilled out and had some drinks yesterday. Things are aligning to where you might be seeing him back on RUclips as well. There is a guy opening a classic car storage in Fort Worth and he reached out to me about filming some content, he also just gave Shopdad a job maintaining the vehicles so that just tells me Shopdad is bound to be on camera soon.
If you want to smell some really good gas. They used to make a gas called Endaline. It was what we used when I worked in the "gray market" back in the mid to late 80's. Then there's always Nitro and Nothing IMO. smells as good as Nitro.
Excellent work Erick, nice to see KC's new shop finally, I would settle for monthly updates if that's all he wants to do, but more would be better! Is Keenan the only one left from the old shop? Where's Shop Dad, Zach, Bruce & Keith?
Thanks Joe. Yeah Keenan is the last one there. Zach left when I did to go work at a heavy equipment shop where he is rebuilding transmission. Bruce left to go work at another Hot Rod shop. Keith started his own Hot Rod operation out of his backyard shop. Shopdad is about to start working at a Classic Car Storage that I'm about to start filming videos for soon.

I still want to showcase his vehicles but everytime he breaks them. 😆 KC just text me a photo of his Coyote, he just buttoned it up, ready to put back in the lightning.
@@dalehall2993 gonna see some Shopdad soon. More video in deed. I've spent so much time helping other shops and companies build up their channels, it's time I put work into my own.
I always like KC on F&L. But I been around body shops most of my life. This looks like a movie set. Do they actually work out of this shop or is this just for show? I never seen a paint shaker without paint on it unless it was new. I’m very impressed if this is a actual working shop. I mean his forklift is spotless.
He painted it Boxwood Green which was an OE color from Ford. Granted i'm pretty sure that's the same shade of green when it was built for TV so you have a point haha.
As a plumber I have to mess with you. There's no such thing as a hot water heater. Think about it. They're water heaters. If water is hot no need to heat it twice.
Not only is it an awesome shop they have ac! I would work 10x as hard if we had that instead of taking 100 water breaks before lunch time and gassed out by 2pm in the summer
I believe that after working in the last shop. I only held a camera while the guys worked but we'd all have our shirts and shorts glued to us with the heat and humidity. It's amazing how much more work you can get done with you constantly feel refreshed and not drained from the heat and weight of soaked clothes all day. I hope your situation gets better Mr Hockey!
@@Photobombin I really appreciate that. Trust me that is just 1 of the problems I'm in where I'm at lol. You could grab a camera and have content for years at my place. I started as an apprentice and let's just say the story goes guy from suburbs trying to make a living meets sons of anarchy and basically ruins life lol. Its unreal
Well truthfully I've been too busy working that I haven't had time to mess with it and I bought a C6 Corvette in January 2020 for a little over $10k and when I looked at how much I had in parts and a car on jackstands vs what was a modern day version of what I was making I sort of lost interest. Plus when COVID hit so many companies went belly up or people couldn't get parts so I saw an opportunity to make some good money off all the aftermarket parts and so I did. Now all I have is a rolling shell that I plan to sell. The Z was a very humbling car and taught me a lot of things. Who knows though maybe I'll just sit on it and come back to it later but right now my life is too occupied with opportunities I have to keep moving on.
Nope, it's sitting in the garage with no engine. Been too busy to mess with it. Covid was a mess trying to get parts. I'm just out grinding dollars at the moment.
Thanks Hamish, hopefully I can get some more recurring videos. I know one of the guys who's local to me that had the Fridge F100 build and he just took it out for the first time to the spring Good Guys here. I know he'd be down to shoot a showcase video with some roller footage with it.
Is the Boss Lady still around? Last I heard she was having health issues? (I think), I wasn’t sure how serious they were, but we haven’t seen her in any recent videos.
She is and I've only seen her a handful of times. She seems to be doing well but has had to stay away from people during covid as her illness is an autoimmune disease. I miss having her around as she was always roasting on KC. Good times.
I'm assuming your talking to KC although I did lose 70lbs since the last time I worked at the old shop haha. His goal was to get back to a smaller operation with less overhead and less employees so he could manage projects that he had passion for rather than taking in as many jobs as he could to keep the payroll going. It may seem smaller but the thought he put into setting it up and organizing it makes it very proficient.

A lot of the people commenting know me from KC's RUclips channel and there was a spike in request to do a shop tour so I just went straight into it not even thinking about new people stopping through. I appreciate the support. Thank you.
@@Photobombin It's that easy ...,when I'm wrong, I own it. I have no problem with that. I didn't even know you existed until today, was thinking to myself why is KC even talking to this guy? RUclips recommended me to you..
You just got yourself a new subscriber. Yes a good intro would work, treat every episode as if the viewer is new to the channel. Perhaps do a small 2-5 minute back story on each subject before you jump in.
Holy shit is this real! This is something I really missed! Shit yeah!
Yeah I intentionally went clickbaity with the thumbnail, sorry about that but HEY happy to see people getting back in the action. KC will be stoked to see the response.
Congratulations young man 👏🏼👏🏼
man I wish KC would go back to weekly videos plus is shop dad still around he was on cool dude
@@Photobombin heyyy Erick! 😀
Why’d shop dad leave??
@@Photobombin Good news !!! Need to keep @Shopdad busy :)
One word ...edit
Sure wish KC would start videos again. Doug is a real HOOT.
If you want to smell some really good gas. They used to make a gas called Endaline. It was what we used when I worked in the "gray market" back in the mid to late 80's. Then there's always Nitro and Nothing IMO. smells as good as Nitro.
Very cool KC is killin it
Good advise about doing less of the general bullshit but more of what you love and keeps you interested in it.
Like the new paint @ body shop kc
Best channels for me are the ones without staged jokes or drama. Very good
Excellent work Erick, nice to see KC's new shop finally, I would settle for monthly updates if that's all he wants to do, but more would be better!
PS. That’s one hell of a shop.
KC, ever play with the Australian "BARRA" Turbo 6?
I'll just plant that seed..
Kc’s paint shop for tha win boys!!straight outta funky town Texas!!if you can’t get down with kc and the work him and his crew pumps out well then just go swan dive into a concrete pool!! (After It’s setup and dried)lol I’m js I would go work for KC for free just to gain some of his knowledge and learn from him he’s like my version of MR miagi!idk if I spelt that right but idc lol y’all get tha point
I really want to get to that level of workmanship one day
Beautiful shop.
Your stash is looking strong
Awesome mr KC
HEY ERICK!😎👊🏻...those levracks are sweet,i have the 1084 model..(with 14 drawers)👀
DALE! Heck yeah man those levracks are awesome for organization.

You're the second guy too interview kc the guy from Ford era beat ya..you did a better shop video!
@@dalehall2993 I had seen Ford Era do an interview. I've yet to watch it but good on him because I've been trying to get KC to film a video for awhile but things just never lined up. Recently I had been up there doing bodywork on my Corvette on the weekends and stirring up KC and Keenan into doing some videos. I still want to showcase his vehicles but everytime he breaks them. 😆 KC just text me a photo of his Coyote, he just buttoned it up, ready to put back in the lightning.
@@Photobombin
MORE VIDS!!!😎👊🏻
@@dalehall2993 gonna see some Shopdad soon. More video in deed. I've spent so much time helping other shops and companies build up their channels, it's time I put work into my own.
Hell yeah, he's eating good
With a bathroom like that you know it!
Thanks for showing the new shop Eric ,came out real nice.good to see vids again ,,did not get a hey Eric from shopdad ,he still there ?
Shopdad is about to start working at a Classic Car Storage and they are hiring me to showcase vehicles there so you will see Doug again for sure.
@@PhotobombinLooking forward to it ,thanks for the updates.
Great video beautiful shop!! Where in the USA is this located ? I’m from Ontario Canada!!👍
Burleson, TX
Hey Erick!
Y'all are back!
It's good to be back even if it's only for a bit!
I always like KC on F&L. But I been around body shops most of my life. This looks like a movie set. Do they actually work out of this shop or is this just for show? I never seen a paint shaker without paint on it unless it was new. I’m very impressed if this is a actual working shop. I mean his forklift is spotless.
Very nice shop but supprised KC painted his truck green because he always complained when Richard wanted to paint everything green. Lol
He painted it Boxwood Green which was an OE color from Ford. Granted i'm pretty sure that's the same shade of green when it was built for TV so you have a point haha.
Nice shop kc
I miss KC. It sounds like I should just sell my broken beater truck now.
Enjoyed it!
As a plumber I have to mess with you. There's no such thing as a hot water heater. Think about it. They're water heaters. If water is hot no need to heat it twice.
HAHA, dang. I've never stopped to really think about it. Knowing KC he probably has a hot water heater.
Just for fun. But the truth.
Great camera work 😄😄
I admit I accidentally turned off the stabilization. My apologies on the shaky footage.
I miss seeing what’s going on!
I'll keep at him from time to time to get yall updates.
One day soon I want to take my truck and a blank check to him lol
Oh he'd LOVE that and of course I'm sure you'd LOVE the end product. It would be one badass truck!
Its unreal
This is amazing but why did they misspell “Kasey” on everything?
Because KC stands for Kenneth Conrad. Kasey is his wife's name haha.
@@Photobombin i know🤣😉🙃
I called him Little Richard a couple weeks ago. yeah he didn't like that too well..
Boa noite congrats Kc vai trabalhar Kc Paint shop homens amigos amén dia você obrigada 👍💪🇺🇸😷😮✨🚗
KC OCD PAINT SHOP! now i know why his paint jobs cost more than a new ferrari 🤣🤣🤣🤪👍
Hey Erik....great looking shop...can't believe it's been 2 years...yikes
Hey! It's been quite sometime but good to see the progress and direction of the new shop.
It was the spirit 👻of Richard annoying the dog 🪰
What ever happened with the z you was putting together?
Ok, it's time for an update.
What happened to shop dad? Man things really changed.
He's about to start working at a Classic Car Storage that I'm going to be filming at soon so he will be back on the Tube
Eric whats up with the z did I install a coyote??
Nope, it's sitting in the garage with no engine. Been too busy to mess with it. Covid was a mess trying to get parts. I'm just out grinding dollars at the moment.
Hey Erick miss these videos
Thanks Hamish, hopefully I can get some more recurring videos. I know one of the guys who's local to me that had the Fridge F100 build and he just took it out for the first time to the spring Good Guys here. I know he'd be down to shoot a showcase video with some roller footage with it.
Do you still paint for Gas Monkey?
What happened to the last space he was in?
👍👍👍
Is the Boss Lady still around? Last I heard she was having health issues? (I think), I wasn’t sure how serious they were, but we haven’t seen her in any recent videos.
She is and I've only seen her a handful of times. She seems to be doing well but has had to stay away from people during covid as her illness is an autoimmune disease. I miss having her around as she was always roasting on KC. Good times.
Why do you keep getting smaller?
I'm assuming your talking to KC although I did lose 70lbs since the last time I worked at the old shop haha. His goal was to get back to a smaller operation with less overhead and less employees so he could manage projects that he had passion for rather than taking in as many jobs as he could to keep the payroll going. It may seem smaller but the thought he put into setting it up and organizing it makes it very proficient.
