Better for Joe to collect vintage and museum quality quitars than some rich unknown dude who doesn't even know how to play or doesnt have the passion for guitar history like Joe does. Joe is the right kind of person who does the guitar world a service by making sure some of these rare guitars gets cherished, loved and carefully preserved. Joe is that guy when people say "I want this guitar to go to the right person".

The guitars aren’t meant to be preserved, as if in a museum. They are meant to be played. By musicians. And Joe should know that better than anyone.

I saw this whole interview and Joe talks about the custodianship he feels and the trust that owners have in his ownership. They know their family heirloom won’t be stripped down for parts and has the chance to be a working instrument for Joe or someone else down the line. Joe is a guardian as well as a collector.

Some people just don't understand. I was taking to a lady and having quite a pleasant conversation, when I mentioned that I had plans to buy a new bicycle. I can't remember how the price of the bike came up, but I was planning to spend $3,000. She was indignant!
"$3,000?! For a bicycle?! You should give that money to the poor!"
In a rare moment of wit I gave the perfect reply, "Yah, the poor guy trying to make a living selling bikes."
    Some people just don't understand.

A stewardship to protect the history of this beautiful dying ember we call the electric guitar! More power to you Joe. I hope you save hundreds more of these beautiful jewels from the darkening void of the internet generation. Thank you for caring about, and for, these endangered species. Thank you for spending so much of yourself to preserve and remember this wonderful passion we as guitar enthusiasts share.

Joe their is no need to explain yourself. and thank you for your inspiration! my dream before I die is ti jam out with you. I have on RUclips so I figure thanks to that I have come close to that!

For me it is about inspiration and guitar pleasure. Each guitar gives me a different inspiration and a differing pleasure when played. I'm really just a low level collector and just a player. I only have 6 percent of your 500 guitars Joe. But i think its super cool you have that many guitars, it somehow validates my many guitars.
    Thanks Joe

Just your everyday guitarist is like a collector. They want some with fixed bridges in different tunings and others with tremolos or whammy bar specific tunings because they can’t be easily changed. I’ve found fixed bridges the better option but some whammy stuff is necessary depending on your style.

I have about 30 Gibson Les Paul Standards, some Fenders. Burny ,Greco, I'm hunting a Gibson Firebird. I'm a collector who wants you to teach me how to play guitar. I've been giving you such a bad time about taking guitars from other people. But then I've been saying I'm when you're side. Joe, you're just taking guitars out of circulation that nobody would be able to buy or have the knowledge to have someone repair. Is or bring something that's broke down back to life. When do you design your own guitar. I've never heard joe bonamosa designing a guitar. You'll know this, you'll know it's me. You are the hardest working man in showbiz. I watch the RUclips channel called Sea of Tranquility, music reviews, album rankings among many other things. Have a show called Curse of the Collector, on buying far too many versions of music or movies, I relate that to Joe’s guitar obsession.

I love Joe, the blues, rock n roll, and am a player myself. being a "collector" sounds an awful lot like an addiction lol. But a safe addiction lol

Joe it is very simple, one is not a collection. That’s what I tell them.

He has worked his tail off I'm glad you said it too, people I think assume he's a trust fund baby, but nope not the case his mother and father were working people like the rest of us and they cultured Joe into a love of music....it paid off for him, but he paid prices, and sacrificed in ways I bet he can't think about today because it's to hard.... nothing Joe Bonamassa has came to him free and you sir are cool to call that out you have taste and class sir.
