I was at the 1985 Mr Olympia in Belgium as a 17 year old. ( i'm a Flemish-Belgian ) After the contest Mr Beckles talked to the ' regular ' people for at least 40 minutes just outside a small exit of the venue. Dressed in his sportswear , unassuming , friendly , accessable , without an entourage except for his just as friendly female companion. No fuss , no pretence , unlike some others , although he placed second behind legend Haney. Being a gentleman and a ' real ' person. Such a pleasant human being !
Not sure why Albert all of sudden thinks bodybuilding is a size game. Size is not what makes the body appealing. It about balance and symmetry. It's art not a drug freak show. You just can't get that massive without loads of drugs. Much prefer bodybuilding of even the 50s and 60s Reg Park and Steve Reeves. When the guys go off the drugs they loose all the gains, they need to stay on gear to hold the size, so why do it.
Wish you knew what you were talking about Rodger. Yeah. I am 3 years late in responding. Mine is all natural. Guess I just train harder than those guys who do drugs. I am powered by God. Albert is a true gentleman!
