- This video follows I-75 South for its final miles to FL-826 South to FL-836 East to Downtown Miami where we pick up I-95 South and take it to the Rickenbacker Causeway as night falls. One of the songs in this video is from a new band my son is a part of (Dream in Color) link below. All equipment FAQ's are in the closing credits.

Very mesmerizing nighttime ride, I loved it! I cannot tell ya how cool that is that your son is in a band. I took piano lessons when I was younger and composed a very simple song (not that impressive), but that compares nothing to the achievement your son is taking on. That is so cool, and I wish him and his band the best of luck!

The lighting of these highways reminds me of some of the Hampton Roads interstates. Which gets weird when they flick the switch off on I-64 in Newport News.

Wow! A lot has changed since I left south Florida in mid-2014.
I remember the Palmetto Expressway. We lived in North Miami Beach and my father was the foreman at a factory in Miami Springs that made rough building hardware (hurricane anchors and things like that). I also worked there for a while in the 70s and did everything from operating punch presses to assembling and filling boxes. We took the Palmetto to work and back every day. It's strange how some things look the same while being surrounded by all the evidence of change.

Drove much of this last year when we spent time in Miami on the way to the Keys. Some of the interchanges can be a bit confusing until you understand the overall layout of the highways and how they cross thru the parts of the city. I actually enjoyed driving around Miami, both on the highways and streets. Cannot wait to do it again when we're back in a couple of months.

I lived in Miami from 1979 to 1985 and the roads were a lot smaller then, save for that last bit of SR-836 and that section of I-95.
Miami has a huge skyline! It makes Charlotte's skyline look tiny.
What does your son do in the band? Also, have you ever used a Rush song in your videos?
He's the Bass player and yes, I've used a few Rush songs through the years.

I've had better but this one was great for being only 4 days.
Like Miami at night Jim. One day you should do a video compression of Miami at night and Las Vegas at night. And you forgot one thing about the sports teams coming to Las Vegas. The Oakland Raiders are moving to Las Vegas. And the toll gantry is almost like seeing the tall piers for the new Tappan Zee Bridge. Sometime next year you should do a video of you driving on the new Tappan Zee Bridge.
I did not forget about the Raiders coming to LV, the video was made before that happened.

Like the Night Driving reminds me of Miami Vice the TV Show with some very good music that they would have in the beginning before the intros.

I honestly thought 75 terminated at 95 when I drove through Miami last week. Guess I was wrong! So silly to terminate at some rinky-dink state highway out of the way from downtown Miami. Should've extended it further down on southward on 826 and eastward on 836 until the junction of 95/395.
Or they could have routed it along I-595 to I-95 and the Airport.
That was one of the multiple plans to extend I-75, but upgrading The Dolphin Expressway to Interstate Standards would be highly expensive so, I-595 was built.

All freeways are limited access (Exits) with grade separations, not all highways are.
