You could but thats what the protective sheeting is, 6 weeks should be amble time to get to roof in most cases unless its an absolute monster off a house of there are supply chain issues
I made some spot boards out of Caber Shield Plus flooring offcuts 2 years ago, D4 glue sealed edges, been out in rain all the time, still using them! Bit tatty now but Caber Shield Plus is only rated 60 days.
You could use concrete floor planks but not really worth it, only normally used for apartments, when ground floor is one house and first floor is another for sound and fire reasons. Sometimes a block and beam floor can be used instead of joist, like I used on the ground floor but there is little need for a house this size. A friend of mine is building a much bigger house and he has used block and beam both floors 👍🏻
Slabs been covered over up here in Midlands/Shropshire, bidding wars have started amongst barons for only remaining housing association work coming up, I'm pretty sure this recession will be worse and longer than the last one in 2008 due to cost of living and inflation
I think we are in for a rough time, what is different from 2007/2008 is the banks have money so there might be a bit more help out there. Who knows, only time will tell
@@Tone_TeamThere could be more work further North, it's cheaper houses / land and to relocate WFH. Also shortage trades unbelievable. P2P lenders are currently pumping money into projects if Labour get in there be a building boom they will kick the can down the road. 4million houses shortage UK.
@@richardmcdougall233 I’m sure it will all work it’s self out, it normally does! Always hard to predict what the trigger for a recession will be and what will be the solution but it always comes out in the wash.
Yeah it is a pain, especially as it goes over all our scaffold boards but the warranty providers insist on the glue oozing out of all joints, right pain in the ass
couldnt you lay a protective cover on top of the kaber dek to give you more working time

I always wondered why chippys got glue absolutely everywhere, makes perfect sense now👍
It’s annoying but they have to use as much as they do it be compliant 👍🏻
Coming along nicely mate 🧱 👌
Getting there mate, place looks big now too 🤗
I will have to stop moaning now about the glue, good info on time scales for flooring ,weatherwise👍
Still moan mate, it does our head in if I'm honest, especially as it lands on all our boards and we have to scrape it off.

As a bricky, that glue is a pain in the f@cking arse to walk on, and it's always on everything!
