I may have got a psychic message from you, because I needed something for sleep, and I stumbled upon lavender honey. I know both lavender and honey make people sleep better, so I figured that it was the right choice. Glad I found this video, and channel.
I As a French woman, Lavender is omni present in our home. From essential oil that we diffuse (cold aromadiffuser or spray on tiles in bathroom ) or add to our homemade savon de Marseille soap/laundry/floor soap/dishwasher and hand soap to vinegar, ice cream (in coconut cream sweetened with dadels), or against a wasp sting, to using the whole plant in bitters, pillow cushions, teas (in very small quantities) or as hydrosol in my homemade creams and salves. It is a wonderful plant that brings JOY and remembrance of the sunny Provence where it grows everywhere. Thank you for your detailed video and your anecdotes.
Thanks for the nice video on a favorite herb. 🥰 I started using my lavender pillow when I went through a spell where I couldn’t fall asleep or sometimes I would wake and not be able to go back to sleep. It is amazing how lavender works for that issue! It’s often right next to my pillow or right in my face to get it’s benefits. I’ve added my own blossoms to it over the years and also add a few drops of the essential oil to refresh it when needed. Now on to make some lavender honey!
I use several different lavender oils. One from Oregon, Bulgaria, Highland, Albania and one called Spike. I add it to my bug bite essential oil combo also. And I love the taste of it in foods and tea and use the flowers in the clothes closet. Thank you for the honey recipe and the info about infusing it in water. I'm trying to grow it again this year, found three different plants, not having been successful over the years in South Texas with them.
Hi Rosalee 👋 Thank you for this informative video and recipe card; I love lavender's aroma very much. Could you do a video about how to make Lavender oil please? Thank you 😊 💐
I’ve had lavender in lotion, made a tea blend, put it inside my pillow case, use the Essential oil on mosquito bites and itchy rashes and under my nose to create a calming effect. So basically everything you said Rosalee! Haha, I grow it in my garden so yes, I walk by and rub the surfaces and inhale too! What heaven 😍 one day I will try it in food 😋 Thanks for sharing ♥️
I enjoy watching your videos, all seems well and bright, thank you. I use lavender from my garden to the tea as additional flavouring flower and healing purpose.
Lavender will always an herb I have in my garden. I love adding it to my nighttime tea mix and just having sprigs of it around me. Thank you Rosalee once again for such an informative video - you are always so inspiring!
Have you tried letting the lavender infuse in a pot with low heat for a short period of time? If so how does that compare to the method you referenced in your video?
I don't clean my lavender from my garden, it's already clean. It's best not to wash aromatic herbs, if you can help it, as you can wash away some of those aromatics. And, in general, we don't want to introduce water to herbs.
I have had NO luck growing lavender and it’s one of my favorites!! My plants start turning brown and dying after having only a month or two.. i keep it in a pot in sunshine, loose soil. I do not over water. I live in the SEast.. any suggestions??
Hi, in addition to your hardiness zone, other factors can matter like soil type, moisture, elevation, etc. Find your local University Extension Office. They should have solid local information for you. And a local botanical garden can help. Master Gardeners are trained by the former and sometimes volunteer at the latter. If other gardeners in your area grow it, ask them to share what they do and which variety they are growing. ~Karin Rose

Trying this! Thank you for sharing
I had a lot of ant bites when camping one time. I dabbed lavender essential oil on the bites. In three days all signs of the bites were gone.
I infused the dried flowers and make a luxurious all over body oil
Wonderful!
I like to add a couple drops of lavender essential oil to my raw fudge recipe. It compliments the bitterness of the raw cacao.
I would love your raw fudge recipe with cacao, sounds delicious especially with Lavender in it

Oooo I want that lavender honey recipe card! When I follow the link, I cannot find where to download the card?
The download links are just below the "timestamps" section of the webpage. Hope that helps! :)
Ooops! Thanks for mentioning this. It was accidentally left off but it's there now!
Lol well I did the lol nettle for pain on the wife she was very angry I stung her back with them 🤣
Don't bees make lavender honey
'Herbal'.....'H'.......'Huh'....'Herb'....not 'Erbal'..... you don't shout 'Elp' when you need 'Help'
Nor do you pronounce the H in "hour". Language and dialects are a funny thing.
