Wait .... long term relationship?? That's what the lower relationship meter is?!? I've been playing as long as Jesse and I NEVER knew that's what it was. I just thought, huh two relationship bars, gotta get them both to 100 to propose successfully
I always thought the second bar was the romance bar and the first was the friendship bar and was always so confused as to why animals had a second meter as well. It wasn't until I hovered over the second bar and it said it was an overall meter that I realized.

It's such a full circle moment for me to see Plumbella so excited to play this. Me and my brother had Life Stories but we didn't have Sims 2 and I really wanted Sims 2 so I settled for playing Life Stories over and over and played free play mode so freaking much. There are some great characters and families in Life Stories free play. It was all I had to hold me over until we could afford Sims 2 😂

The Sims Stories games were, if I remember right, intended for those who didn’t have the space for Sims 2 and multiple expansions. You can play with freeplay mode and just play like the ordinary Sims 2. It also has specific game-exclusive stuff :D I love the Life Stories one so much
Vincent's story had the more unhinged ending to me as you had to make a choice to unlock the final item...
(Spoiler warning)
...he eventually gets together with Naomi, she moves in, but then his very own satellite falls on Naomi and kills her! Grim asks Vincent to choose between his wealth and home or Naomi's life. If he chooses his money, he gets Naomi's statue as a reminder. Also, I don't know if this was a bug or intentional, but her ghost haunting his mansion was pregnant in my playthrough back in the day.
Omg his ending was extra chaotic for me! I had been speeding through the ending so I had neglected their needs. Vincent ended up leaving to make a sandwich while Naomi stayed and got crushed. Mans was inside totally oblivious while I was losing it. Trying to get him to go outside to plead for her was so difficult because he kept rerouting to finish his damn sandwich 😂
You didn’t by chance tell Vincent and Naomi to have a little fun (Woohoo) in the bedroom before continuing with the Story, did you? Because that’s the only way I can figure that this would happen. Maybe I’m completely wrong. Spoiler below: don’t read if you haven’t played the game, you have been warned!
I have no idea, really, as I never played that “sad” ending to see what would happen if I did. I couldn’t do it, even to a couple of fictional characters. Always choose the happy ending for them, that’s me. I can’t stand the thought of Naomi as that little Easter egg they have in the Trophies section. Plus, you can unlock it anyways if you know a certain way around it. Also, what I found from playing is that The Grim Reaper doesn’t hold you absolutely to his bargain if you choose the good ending for Vincent’s story. You as Vincent and Naomi can work hard and buy everything back in Bitville’s Freeplay Mode if you choose to, and he won’t complain.

The Stories games were favourites of mine (Life, Pets and Castaway) mainly because I could play them on my dads laptop when travelling. I loved them so much.

The nostalgia! Life Stories is what first got me into sims when I was younger, like 9 years old (my mum had the game). Did I know what was happening? No, not really but I still enjoyed it.
It was a really interesting concept, I actually would buy a Sims Stories 2 with the graphics of Sims 3 or even content for the sims 2! I don't care about sims 4 anymore,
I always thought about Sims Space Stories, Sims City Stories and things like that... but those never came :(

This game has aged like old milk but there is something about the absurdity of old Sims games that the newer ones just do not have any it's so sad that we lost some of the whimsy and ridiculousness of the older games. It was so good.

I love this so much lol this was my first Sims game ever! I was 11 and I bought it with my own money knowing nothing about the Sims at all :) Loved the sims ever since. I've been thinking about dowloading it and playing it again and now I absolutely will be doing that!

Plumbella should probably get the Graphics Rules Maker, which allows her to construct a Personalized Graphics Rules File for The Sims 2, or any of the Three Stories Games. which can Seriously Reduce risk of Crashes, and also unlocks all graphics options (Like Anti-Aliasing), it also lets you get the resolution's max up to your screen Resolution, PleasantSims revealed this application
Yeah, I've used this with all four (Sims 2 & the three Stories spin-offs) and they run fine

The handheld games (bustin out and the Urbz) do a way better job of making an interesting story mode imo!
So I played Urbz on DS like 4 times thru when I was in middle school, and a couple more times since then, like 10 years ago and 5 years ago. I tried Bustin' Out 10 years ago and just couldn't get into it.
@@metasteelgaming4373 The Urbz is definitely superior. Bustin Out is kinda grindy in the beginning, and has a few annoyances that the Urbz fixed. That being said I still think it's fun! It's WAY better than TS2 for GBA or DS imo.
@@Simbreon I absolutely agree on the Sims 2 handhelds. I wish Sims 2 on DS was better because from what I've seen there were some cool characters. I'm going to watch Plumbella's Sims 2 PSP playthru soon because it looks cool too but I don't have a PSP
@@metasteelgaming4373 There were some cool characters, but it was even more of a grind tbh. Gaining skill points was so lame and tedious too. I think that the studio (Amaze Entertainment, who was affiliated with Griptonite, who was credited for Bustin Out and The Urbz) was stretched too thin between a completely different GBA and DS release. There’s even a final unlockable level in TS2 GBA that takes place in a different timeline, with the writers clarifying it at the beginning of the episiode… not to mention a BUNCH of remnants of scrapped episodes that have since been found. Woulda been much better (but graphically worse) if they had just made one general, awesome game for both systems like the Urbz had. The PSP Sims 2 on the other hand had an entirely different team behind it.

I really liked The Sims Stories games. There were only 3 of them, and I only ever got to play 1. Now I can’t play any of them because my newer computer is not compatible. It’s fun though, for me to know everything already and watch others play it and see their reactions to it.

The Sims Life Stories was my first sims game and I remember one of my sims dying of hunger so I never played again.
Life stories was my JAM! had 2 and bustin out for the PS2, too, what great times.
I only had the pet stories, and I remember taking turns with my sister to play it. It was so much fun!
