the sims 4 has spoiled plumbella with their easy “toddler just eat off the floor and raise yourself” mechanics so much she forgot the sims 3 had us in the trenches
But toddlers are pretty self sufficient, lol. If you can pull food out, they can eat it. To be fair I would say Sims 2 and 3 toddlers were like 18months to barely 3 years old, while Sims 4 toddlers are like 4/5 years old (like on the cusp of kindergarten/preschool).
You can feed toddler on floor with a bottle in sims 3
literally crying over baby #2, she just kept making the best of a bad situation.

there should be some kind of repercussion to having a poor relationship with your kid, or some kind of memory if you do less than x interactions with the kid in a given life stage
Thats what is supposed to happen in sims 3. If you neglect they will randomize bad traits
Starting from pregnancy tbh they will randomize traits on birth
Well to be fair to TS team, they probably don’t think the player is going to actively choose to neglect their children sims because they have the chance of being taken away. Plus they might have thought that would be too dark for a life sim.

I miss the open world so much, the cycling to school really added a lot of atmosphere and reality

The toddlers in Sims2 can eat dog food and sleep in dog beds. Hence they can take care of themselves.

I used to use nraas mods to set all members of a family to npcs except for a child, and then i would control that child while the rest of the family took care of themselves (school, promotions, needs, etc etc). Was really fun and chaotic

@beelzebub6414 if You have master controller. Click on sim > nraas>>master controller>>advanced>>>selectablity. And just make sure autonomy is on high so they move and do stuff.

Honestly the confusion I had…
He wasn't confused on the eyebrows, he was confused about the eyes, plumbella was complaining about the eyebrows but declan was worried why she wasn't acknowledging the cross eyed sim. But she didn't focus on it cause it's a very common glitch in sims 3
I could be wrong about this but possibly giving the parents the heavy sleeper trait may make it easier for them to sleep while the babys are crying? (I guess for others who are loooking to try this lol)
No, in Sims 3 there is a point where nobody on the lot can sleep when a baby is so tired they non-stop scream (that is the point where if they are placed in a crib, they will fall asleep, but without being in a crib they will legit just scream like banshees for ages until they finally pass out on the floor). There is a debuff moodlet on all the other sims and everything, except for babies and toddlers if I remember right. One of the weirdest times this happens is when playing a homeless challenge and trying to take a nap on a lot where a random townie family brought their toddler who is left screaming somewhere in the building while the parents do heck-all.
Idk why it said you need a high chair, I hate them so I've never used them. You can even "feed on floor" to one baby, then have them drop the bottle and move it to the next room.
Id love to see sims 2 with this challenge!

I’m glad you did this in TS3, because in 4 honestly my default state is giving them that Independent or whatever trait where they can already use the toilet and letting them run themselves. That game is so unbalanced that it’s honestly easier if the family just gets out of my way 💀

If your parent has the trait “family-oriented” you’re able to use the “feed on floor” interaction which basically just lets you bottle feed the toddler on the floor 😁
I think you're able to do that without the trait, but I don't think Jesse thought of that because she didn't want to have any interaction

You can put a VERY LIGHT DILUTED blue/purple wash in to tone out the orange - like a lavender.
I wish you could create your own festivals in TS4 like how you can create different holidays on the calendar.
The festivals were great but the create your own holiday system in Sims 4 is divine. The way the Sims 4 doesn't presume what holidays you want to celebrate is great, because like, yeah it comes with four premade ones, but the celebration options are SO vast. I've been playing the sims for literally as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until the Sims 4 Seasons that it became easy for me to maintain family relationships through generations, because the holiday system is so fun I host a party and have my sim's friends and family come visit and it's so fun for me. And like, my college sims will host a keg party for New Years but my sims with a spouse and children hold a much more reserved gathering. It's literally the best

Plumbella PLEASE talk about the fiasco that is the EA app not installing the sims 3 expansion packs for a lot of users. We've been trying for over a year to make the game work. We've begged for EA to help. Maybe if a bigger creator talks about this they'll get some fire under their seats. Luvs yus! ❤😊

i literally had to uninstall my game and reinstall to get it to work with the expansions
when you do it for the sims 2, you can have a dog bed for the child to sleep in :)

@@DiscoTimelordASD yup, a hungry toddler will go all in on the pet bowl in Sims 2. Wasn’t even trying to neglect the kid, just hadn’t gotten over with the bottle fast enough and the toddler was all in on that full food bowl for the cat. 😂😅

I think it would've been interesting to see if the non-neglected toddler grew up well. Toddlers are a pain in the Sims 3 and they take a lot of effort, but I believe you just have to teach them 1 of the 3 toddler skills (potty train, teach to walk, or teach to talk) in order for them to grow up well. But I just love seeing Sims 3 content. Would love to see this done in the Sims 2 as well.

if you ever do this in the sims 2 it's gonna be so easy lol toddlers there can eat pet food and drink bottles from the floor like you tried to do in the video. they can also sleep in pet beds autonomously
Honestly I always feel like in ts3 I have to like actively make an effort for parents and kids to have a relationship they do not autonomously do if lolol but in ts2 the whole fam is tight as fuck

I mean I’m a simmer and I wanna play that game as well. Different game, different experience. To my understanding there are customizable characters on there, too. I don’t see it as competition tbh. Just another similar game no different than fighting/war RPGs.

I had a cool Aunt who bought me the CD back in 2009, and that just really MADE my middle school experience. My friends and I would sit on the bus with my CD player resting on our laps and share our headphones so neither of us could actually really hear the music, and then walking home we'd have to walk super close together and I'd just be holding my super cute powder blue walkman between us. Miss those days.
