There's a lot of judges who are thanking by theirs hairs today, because Miss Puerto Rico gave the best answer when she said communication, they can imagine how far it had goes, small brains who can admit communication has an own dynamic of develop itself. Specially Lucero , te one's w ho ask the question and gave her a low puntuation.
This is probably the strongest top 6 I’ve seen. All of these delegates spoke so well. I looooooved India, Trinidad & Tobago and USA. But the remaining three were amazing too! The judges had a hard time here I think!
India has one of the best and most powerful answers in the history of Miss Universe, even to this day, when the ladies didn’t give overly rehearsed and manufactured answers and it comes across so personable and spontaneous in their delivery. It really put a lot of the girls in recent years to shame. With the exception of Venezuela and Puerto Rico, the rest were absolutely astounding, giving amazing, powerful, insightful and unique answers.
I just feel that Miss Venezuela's answer is weaker than the other 5 delegates. The rest are doing well, unfortunately it takes only one judge's score to be 0.1 less to change the entire ballgame.

Yes, you will often find the difference between the contestant with the third and fourth highest scores were very VERY close. Trinidad/Tobago deserved a top 3 spot and she had the bad luck of being first in the top 6 Q&A. India enter the top 6 in 6th place so pre 1990s, she would have been out of the running.

Great answers. I especially liked Miss India's answer because it makes you think a little and realize it is so true - you only get taken advantage of you let it happen.
It really was an incredible group. I don't think Miss Venezuela said enough, so I knew she was out. I thought Miss Puerto Rico said the correct thing, but I wouldn't have started it off with because people could watch the Miss Universe pageant, had she said at the end, something like and as an added benefit they all get to see us, that would have made it even closer to her making it. I think Miss Trinidad and Tobago got robbed as I believed she had the entire package, as I think she stated one of the biggest problems going on that has led to destructive behaviors. Miss India just nailed it, short answer, 100% on point. Miss Canada answered hers beautifully, and really couldn't have done any better. And Miss USA also answered hers beautifully. For me it's the last 4 that I named that I believe were the closest for the 3 spots. They were all beautiful no doubt in that. In looking at all of them as extremely beautiful and very intelligent I would have picked the following I would have put Miss India in because I believe her answer was the best of all of them, Miss Canada in because I found her to be the most beautiful of the 6, and Miss Trinidad and Tobago for having the most overall package. All respect to all 6 of them. I didn't care that much for Miss Venezuela, but don't take anything away from her. I think any of the other 5 would have been a great Miss Universe.
Before top 6 format was implemented, India would've been out of the running. This format let someone who would not have qualify in previous years to surge forward and take the crown. Almost happen in 1995 and 1990.

I just don't get why Miss El Salvador didn't make top 6??? Her score was the highest when they interviewed the top 10. Hers was 9.67, really impressive.
T n T : don't think the judges understood what she was actually trying to say. She started off well but then confused everyone with the Shakespeare quote. USA : Perfection Venezuela : typical pageant answer India : short answer and to the point. Absolutely amazing.. Canada : she was like "oh I am gonna win"..her answer was like a bad remix of Sushmita's the previous year Puerto Rico : she needs to go back to school and learn what mass communication actually is.
Strong interview all around....but in all fairness. .It came down to beauty...I do not know that Ms.India answered the question...she needed to elaborate more...but overall intelligent girls.From a fashion perspective Ms.Trinidad looked super refined and classy...

Puerto Rico should be in top 3,she's very spontaneous too like the English speaking countries,she's intelligent as well...india is smarter but when it comes to beauty she lacks a bit, interview is her big weapon...Venezuelans love to wear long-sleeve gowns and that Venezuelan is pretty as well but her answer had no flavor or savory taste...
Miss Canada deserved the crown! She was absolutely gorgeous and so articulate. I think Miss USA and Venezuela were the weakest of this bunch. USA was terrifically overrated. She played the bi-racial card to the extreme and certainly did not deserve the crown this year.
They cheated Trinidad and Tobago in this year of Miss Universe, Miss USA shouldn't have shouldn't have won Miss Universe 1995 Arlene Peterkins or Miss Canada or even puerto rico should have won that year!!!
