Now that is a double bill I would have killed to see - Huey Lewis and the News then Springsteen. What an amazing concert that would have been. (Ok, while I'm dreaming, I might as well make it a triple bill - Huey Lewis and the News, Bryan Adams and Bruce Springsteen, in that order.)
Hearing this version... makes me think that The Rolling Stones could have covered this song with Jonny Lang on those dates when he was their opening act during their Bridges to Babylon tour (cf. January 30 & 31, 1998 in Portland, Oregon at the Rose Garden Arena), not just because the song would benefit from the Stones' touring horn section, but also because Lang used to perform live barefoot back then!
