I love how you are editing and posting shorter videos focused on one topic. I'm trying to share your knowledge with others and I think the longer videos may make some people not want to watch. I know you work tirelessly to spread this important information and I appreciate you so much for doing it!
Thank you very much, I'm glad that you like it! Yeah I think the longer videos can be a bit daunting for people, so taking out one topic at a time will hopefully help keep things easier for people to digest.
@@anthonychaffeemdsame here. Love listening to you and so many others. I do like the shorts way better. I watch when I get up, at work, after work. I like to send videos to my mom but she tells me not to send them anymore cuz they're to long.
Let them be, their own fault for having a short attention span when it comes to truth. People would rather watch a whole series of nonsense on Netflix than save their own lives
Anthony I didn’t know oxylate dumping was real - while i was detoxing the first few weeks in Carni I had bad joint pains and then for a couple months I had oxylates oozing out of my eyes. This is real, now my joints aren’t storing oxylates and crystals, feels like my arthritis, autoimmune, menopause has disappeared. Yahoo! ❤
Blisters on scalp with swelling and intense pain. Now burning aching for a couple of days in bladder with burning urine. Burning watery bowel movements that burn the skin and require a shower. Miserable. I don’t want any food with oxalates for sure.
I was using water fasting as the only way I knew how to manage my joint pain. On one occasion after coming off a 36 hour fast, I was feeling great, doing yoga with little pain, thought oh I’ll make a nice healthy green smoothie and the join pain came back immediately even stronger than before. That’s when I realised ohh it’s not the meat causing my joint pain but rather it’s the greens. Googled carnivore and started and have been felt great since.
You basically don’t juice green s and have them … can’t you not can cook greens ? Do you realize how much greens you take in in a juice ? Vs eating them cooked ?
This was about five years ago. I was really trying hard to watch my diet, not eat sugar, candies, or cakes, and only eat healthy food, including low-fat things like spinach. We all know that spinach is really healthy, right of course, I am saying this facetiously now, but here's what happened, I bought a big tub of spinach at Whole Foods, and I ate a little bit, but then it got to that point where it's starting to wilt and not be that fresh type of spinach that we want to eat. So I sautéed up the whole rest of the tub in a skillet, added a little cream and butter, and ate the whole tub of spinach, sautéd down into a relatively small amount, so I can remember sitting in front of the television said, eating this, and with the cream and butter on it tasted pretty good, that night I had the worst gout attack of my life, and when I say it was a bad gout attack that is very much underestimated gout is never good, but you can live with it if you can get in bed prop your foot up, maybe put an ice pack on it, and it will minimize the pain pretty good as long as you don't move. This was nothing like that. It didn't matter what I did. It didn't matter how many pain pills I took; nothing helped. It was the most miserable 24 hours of my 75 years on this planet. After 24 hours, if I laid really still took my pain meds, it lessened enough that I finally could fall asleep, but it lasted for about another 2 to 3 weeks, getting slowly better. Needless to say, I don't even walk by it in the grocery store anymore, and I have learned a lot since then. Thanks to Dr. Chaffey and other doctors like Dr. Barry. Even if you just can't give it up and have to eat a little bit of it, it is never sautéed because you've had to use a large amount to have the amount of anything once it is sautéed; spinach is bad. sautéed spinach is 100 times worse, anyway, if I can save even one person from going through what I went through that night with this information I am very glad that I wrote this.
Yes, I went from moderate meat and copious vegs to keto- low carb, more meat but lots of nuts, sweet potatoes, chard, buckwheat etc, cut out sugars and husband has lacto intolerance. Developped terrible arthritic neuropathy in back/ scoliosis, and gouty feet, leg cramps, hearing loss etc, eye watering, small kidney stones, skin peeling .. Doc said it was'idiopathic'. So from your program I will cut back on the dairy and cal/mag if it causes more dumping. I'm 72, ouch, don't want anyone to have this much pain! Thanks, doc, keep it current!
So.. in grade school when I refused to eat the spinach to the point of being the only one left in the lunchroom, I was on to something? 😂 I always preferred meat over veggies.
Horror story but so glad you came out wiser! I now remember why, when offered some stray cows ( I am from India) they just would not touch the spinach...
Oxalates can end up anywhere in the body and present with different symptoms. i.e. oxalates binding with calcium can end up in joints causing arthritis symptoms. Sulfur can help pull oxalates out of tissues and sulfur supplements like MSM, and Epsom salt baths or foot soaks can help. B6 in the form of 5-P-5 pyridoxine helps to drive oxalates out of tissue. Building a good gut microbiome can prevent oxalates from reabsorbing into the body. Potassium, magnesium, and calcium in the citrate form help in softening and binding with oxalates. Drinking 4 oz of lemon juice daily can prevent kidney stones. Sally K Norton and Elliot Overton on the YT channel EONutrition have detailed information on oxalates and how to help with the dumping syndrome.
I have Sally K Norton’s book Toxic Superfoods, I cannot even use seasoning without getting sick, I am full ketogenic Carnivore. I was vegan drinking my superfood smoothies using flaxseeds which contain cyanide killing my mitochondria. For someone who stopped trusting the AMA when I was 15, I thought I was eating healthy.
Curious are you male or female? I find it harder for women to lose the weight then men ....I am wondering if women need more omega 3 , on account of hormone loss during menopause ?? Honestly, I need to loose 80 lbs ...Is your skin tightening along with the weight-loss or weight loss first, than skin will tighten once at your idea weight for your body? Also you did so amazing to lose this much weight I bet you feel like a million...God Bless and thank you for being an inspiration to is all....
@@cherylschumaker1366 I'm male. I had no problems with loose skin, but I am still fat enough to be class 2 obese. I've actually been stuck on a plateau since that post.
@@cherylschumaker1366I am not the addressee of your comment, but I'll throw my 5 cents in: I didn't need to lose so much weight, but I noticed I started to gain some after my car accident that caused me not being able to go to gym for over a year now. My comment would be this - you first start losing the body fat layer, then visceral fat, and only after your body is free of being of those extra tissues, it will slowly start absorbing it's excess skin. Your skin will absolutely tighten up again but that process is much longer than dropping the excessive fat layers by instituting carnivore diet. I know this for a fact. If you're getting skinnier in your face, the same process is happening everywhere in your body. So be patient and diligent, you can't cheat even once in this process. Good luck!

Thanks for bringing this extremely important topic up and for mentioning Sally K Norton and her book Toxic superfoods.💕🎉 I'm about 2 years into low oxalate eating and I have barely scratched the surface...😅I've eaten plantbased diets for decades!🤪 As a child I had lots of ear infections and was given several rounds of antibiotics. I now know that it gave me leaky gut and I started to store oxalates even on a "regular" omnivorous diet. But then a vegetarian and vegan diet for 2 decades, plus eating high plant even on omnivorous ways of eating, just made me sicker and sicker. I couldn't understand it! I'm a Nutritional Therapist and I just got sicker and sicker the "healthier" I ate!!!! And then I tried carnivore and got very dangerous symptoms which puzzled me even more... 🤪 I actually went back to a plantbased diet after 9 months of carnivore and for a while that felt better...until it didn't ofc.😅 Now in retrospect I understand that I felt initially better again bcs it temporarily halted the oxalate dumping I got on carnivore bcs I added back lots of plants and that gave my body a signal to stop dumping and start storing! But that bucket will absolutely start to spill over if you continue to ingest lots of oxalates ofc.... Sadly I went to the highest oxalate diet I ever been on, following Medical Medium diet and protocols. (That tells you a little something about how effing sick and desperate I was....😢) I drank cerlery juice, spinach smoothies and ate sweet potatoes, potatoes and so on, so forth. I ate several THOUSANDS of mg of oxalates a day! I thought I couldn't get any sicker but oh boy....I was absolutely poisoned and thought I was going to die.😢 That's when I found Sally K Norton and binge watched tons of interviews with her. I did cut out the oxalate rich foods too quickly though and it was horrible and very dangerous. I actually went back on carnivore for 6 months against better judgment. I can't stress enough how absolutely dangerous it can get if you go from an extremely high oxalate diet (plus having decades of stored oxalated in the body) directly to a strict carnivore diet. The carnivore diet isn't at fault here ofc, it's just that the oxalic acid/oxalates are as dangerous on their way out as they where in. And it can take many years to clear it out with a history like mine and Sally's. Sally is 10 years in and is still having bouts of clearing or dumping. (Clearing is a milder, more manageable version of dumping.) I've had to add back both some plants and some carbs bcs my body just can't fat adapt and it seems like I can't produce sufficient amounts of endogenous glucose via gluconeogenesis bcs I get dangerously low blood sugar which induces an extreme rush of stresshormones and months and months of severe insomnia as a result. Plus also very dangerous electrolyte disturbances with arythmias almost 24/7. This probably is bcs of all the damage done by decades of plantbased eating and bcs I'm still constantly handling clearing/dumping plus I have thyroid antibodies. I hope to be able to try carnivore again soon but I'm scared bcs it got so insanely bad last times I've tried. (I've done it for 15 months in total so it's not for lack of trying, that's for dang sure.😅) By now I've been to over 40 of Sally K Norton's classes btw. It's a game changer!!🌞 Minerals like calcium, magnesium and potassium are VERY important to eat/take when one has an oxalate issue. Otherwise it WILL steal minerals from your blood, bones and tissues. Yes, calcium can trigger more release but it's worse to not have calcium in your diet when you are having lots of stored oxalates in your body. I would never even think of trying fully carnivore again without calcium and other minerals. Btw, I even push tiny oxalate crystals out through my scalp and skin. Look like little diamonds. Too bad it isn't bcs I would be really rich if that was the case...!.💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎😂
What an amazing and difficult journey you are on to get back to a better health outcome!! 🩷 We all have ups & downs in our lives, sending positive energy that you have way more ups than downs on this crazy life path we all seem to be on 💝 x
Wow, your story is amazing! Good for you for trying so many things and never giving up on yourself in your quest for a healthy body. If you're not able to get fat adapted, have you tried a liver/gallbladder flush? It's not much talked about in carnivore circles, but I found it to be a huge help. When you eat a high-veggie diet, the bile system can become very sluggish and gloopy. Bile is released when we eat fat, so if you've been eating low fat (and I now consider anything not keto to be low fat) then bile just doesn't get released on a regular basis, and it begins to thicken up in your biliary ducts, like constipation of the biliary system. Then, when you switch to a high fat diet, your bile is all backed up and clotted. This can cause people to feel that they can't digest fat - because they really can't! Stephanie Keto Person talks a bit about doing liver/gallbladder flushes, but I've never heard any other carnivore influencer talk about it, which I think is a shame. There's a lot of people out there who are feeling like carnivore isn't working for them, when it could and would if only their biliary system was in working order. I know you didn't ask, but if you're willing to listen to the medical medium, I figure maybe you'd be interested in what worked for me! 😂😂😂
@cammieklund OMG! For over 11 years now I've been afflicted with some RARE disease that even stumped a pathologist with 30 years experience! It's some kind of "non-specific suppurative dermatitis" and it's slowly destroying my entire body. GRANULES that resemble salt or sugar (or I guess diamonds) LITERALLY come out of my SKIN. It started inside my nose and below the back of the neck and the left ear but has slowly spread over my body. I know it's inside my EYES too and is slowly taking my vision, degenerating my collagen and turning my skin into something that looks like an over cooked piece of meat! But the GRANULES or CRYSTALS and the number one thing-I'm massaging some out of my eyes, my face, my upper back between typing this.
@@itzakpoelzig330 😅 Yes, I'm planning on doing a gallbladder flush! I know that I have gall stones, I recently did a CT scan. Don't know how much though, haven't seen the images myself, just got a letter that I had some and that it was sent to a surgeon that would decide what to do. I won't let them take out my gallbladder though! And yes, I think this is a common issue and it should be talked about more! No wonder if you are used to run on carbs and then take them out and then if you can't use fats as fuel either bcs it's clogged up plus you are dealing with oxalates that the body goes into crisis mode. Plus I saw a study that said that hypothyroid people can have 30-50% less ability to create glucose via gluconeogenesis so it's the perfect storm.🤪 The quest goes on though!🌞
Dr.Chaffee, wanted to let you know this was my first day on carnivore. You’ve inspired me to try it out. I’ve always been under the impression that plants are the way, however I’ve been fairly into Keto for a year. Now, it’s time to fully heal and grow (I’m 20). I’m Norwegian btw. Hopefully I can inspire others, but first I want to check the diet for myself. I fully believe the science, but the logic made it for me. I’ll let you know how it effects me. Love your message dude, keep it up❤️
I'm Norwegian as well. I'm almost 8 months into the carnivore diet at this point. Pro tip: Buy your steaks in Sweden and save money. It's expensive here 😂
❤Good for you. You won't regret it. I had massive oxalate dumping through my eyes/face especially! I Was the worst vege and fruit addict my whole life. I'm 70 now and hope to be healthy for the rest of my life. Goodluck and enjoy your Carni lifestyle. ❤
13 month carnivore and I feel great. two months in and broke out in hives I think from dumping. It lasted a couple of days. So happy to be eating proper and saving dollars.

It is the one and only food source you could live on forever without anything else. Your moral choice about not eating meat is admirable.....but its not clever or helpful to your health.
I went keto 6 years ago and ate LOTS of spinach and almonds. Not knowing any better, I went cold turkey carnivore about a year ago and ended up in the ER 2 months ago passing a kidney stone, and have just had surgery to remove another stone. There are no more in there, and I’m praying I don’t form anymore. Despite this, I will be sticking with carnivore because I’m convinced it’s the right diet for me.

Perfectly said Dr. Chaffee! I feel all produce in grocery stores should have a regulation that requires stores to put warning labels out listing each produce’s natural toxins (and amount) and anti nutrients! That including Oxalates! And explain health risks so humans are aware!
Hi Anthony, after hearing about Saladino and Baker I found you, and you inspired me to try the carnivore diet because of rapidly deteriorating gut issues over Christmas. Cleared up in a week, my digestion has never felt better. I fail to adhere strictly to the diet, I eat at a bit of carbs and fruits most days, but the vast majority of my nutrition now comes from beef, eggs, more beef, and more eggs. (Formerly 9 years vegan, reintroduced some animal foods about 1,5 years ago but now I've really ramped it up and cut out many other foods.) I feel really good, my energy is stable, my skin is starting to look better, I produce way less ear wax for some reason, and I don't have to sit on the toilet 40+ minutes per day. Big win.
Oxalate dumping is no joke. Been experiencing blurry vision in my dominant eye for months now since starting the carnivore diet and went to 3 specialists. While scanning my macula, 2 of the 3 specialists remarked that there were little specs inside the fluid of my eye(in front of the macula) that looked like "sand", and they didn't know what it was. My symptoms in one eye are blurry vision, sandy feeling while trying to fall asleep, and styes every couple months. I'm almost positive these symptoms are from oxalate dumping.
I wonder if that is my problem. My retinal specialist told me it looked "sandy" as well. My vision started getting worse as I changed from a high greens and other veg oxalate diet over to low oxalate meat based diet. It bothered me that vision would worsen. Everything else healthwise is much better! Maybe I am oxalate dumping through eyes?
Rub some beef tallow on you sternum and abdomen (not a lot) this helped me tremendously. I am guessing the omega 3 chains in tallow mixed with the ADEK vitamins really help with the dumping.
I went on a ketogenic diet in 2019. I lost 32 pounds and I have maintained that weight within a 2 pound marker since then. However, I noticed that I started getting very stiff and that my knees hurt and the joints in my fingers hurt and felt swollen & stiff. I could not understand why this was happening because I felt I was eating better than I had in my entire life. I was talking to the woman in my health food store and she asked me what I was eating. I was eating a lot of spinach! I grew to like it very much, but she told me that because of the compounds in the plants that I may have been overdoing it. She admitted humbly to not knowing a lot about it, but suggested I scale back on the spinach. I saw a podcast on Dr. Josh Axe’s channel and he was talking about oxalates, and which vegetables were high & which fruits were high. I made a list of those foods and I scaled back on my produce purchases. After a few weeks, I definitely lost the swelling in my knees and my hands and overall I can tell the difference. I do have a small salad every two days or so, just because I think there are some nutritional benefits in it. I do eat a few berries every morning, which I love and I didn’t want to give them up and I’m grateful that I didn’t have to. But the more I learn about this the more it makes complete sense. I am mainly carnivore and eat a lot of meat. These compounds are real and you need to monitor how much of them you consume.
What they also dont say, is yes over the years this builds up, oh yeah thats when i get older. What many dont realise is "older" is only late 30's to 40's. Many think, oh yeah older like when im 80. NO, you well start getting issues, possibly irreversible issues starting late 30's early 40's. Later in life isnt as late as most are thinking.
I'm coming to realize this as a 60 y.o. starting Carnivore. Now I realize symptoms that started in my 20s started becoming big problems 10 years ago (30 years later)! But most have no way of knowing in this land of diet lies...getting worse by the day. 😢
I went keto 20 carbs or below 6.5 years ago, then carnivore 3 years ago 62 now. Last year I had a cist form on the back of my neck in one day, 3 day later it popped open, white stuff cane out. Then deeper a lump formed. I had the VA cut it out. All they told me, it's not cancer, I was thinking. Oxalates
I had never heard of an oxalate before I came to the carnivore world. Been on carnivore for 30 days, down 20 lbs, physically up and down. Some days I’m full of energy and the next day I feel like my limbs are made of lead and it’s a chore to walk around. Struggle to eat beef every day, I am eating pork and eggs, drinking lots of water, still drink black coffee, no plans at this time to quit, but I didn’t plan to stop smoking 30 years ago either and one day I just stopped, so maybe.
Please try to add bonebroth🙏 most of the days I'm eating bone broth, some cheese, bit of vegetables few days in a week (all herbs from my own garden, all clean and healthy), eggs, homemade yoghurt it's perfect for a people on a tight budget as well! Please try! You may love it❤ I bought an huge Instant Pot (9plus Litre) and cooking a bone broth for about a 3 hours
Honestly! When I started carnivore, after the first two weeks, passing urine hurt! And I believe I was oxalates detoxing! Two months in and now I have no issues and all my stomach issues healed! Thank you for your valuable information! I cannot thank you guys enough!
Thank you, Dr. Chaffee! 7 months in, originally began with no clue, but as I continued, I learned so much from your video content. Presently feeling great at age 64. I am still having histamine issues and was diagnosed with Hemi Facial Spasms. This WOE has turned my life around, and I hope that my health will continue to improve, and I will reverse all the damage that has been caused by years of traditional ways of eating foods that were harmful to me. Thank you, Dr. Chaffee!!
Sweet potatoes 1 cup -27 grams of carbs & almonds 1 cup is equivalent to 28 grams of carbs. Low carb diet is 30 grams & below carbs. Keto diet is when there is presence of ketones in the blood or urine tests
I don't know if one needs oxalate testing. You can look at the symptoms - which weren't talked about here. I had severe neck pain and headaches for about two years. I also had to see a chiropractor three to four times a year. Then I went Carnivore and the first thing I noticed was the massive amount of tartar I got on my teeth, a problem I never had in my life. A few weeks into Carnivore I suddenly thought: you don't have headaches and neck pain anymore . It was only after that realization that I saw Sally Norton on RUclips and I nearly fell over from all the things she talked about. The tartar was oxalate dumping and the pains I had came from the (high oxalate) potatoes I had eaten more than ever in these past two years. Potatoes and chocolate. Haven't been back to the chiropractor since I started carnivore. The achiness in the mornings I had as a 61 y.o. was gone, too If you want to search out Sally Norton, I'd recommend her interview with Jesse Chappus. (The one she did with Anthony Chaffee is more on the academic side while the other one is more on in a practical level.) (Thank me later 😅)
@@simonf8758 well... the tartar thing is still there. And I still have "rash" eruptions on the skin near my eyes (topical Rx steroid cream helps control it), crusty debris coming off my lashes, and occasional tiny hard bumps appearing on my eyelids that work their way out/off within a few weeks. I prefer being at or near carnivore, but find reverting to keto now and then makes the symptoms back off a bit. I must've packed away a huge amount of oxalates in my years of almonds, almond milk, almond butter, mounds of daily spinach (raw&cooked), and my ever present sweet potatoes.
This interview, followed immediately by an anti-carnivore diet ad🤦 On another note, the two things that turned me to a middle of the night web search, while on the carnivore diet, were waking up to "leg cramps" and prior, experiencing a soreness in my kidneys. Everywhere, I saw "leg cramps" tied to oxolate dumping while on the carnivore diet. One really wouldn't know what to think if we didn't have the growing and supportive community(who can still think for themselves) we have now in this quest for optimal health and dietary truth.
I take 400mg magnesium and still getting cramps. On keto/lchf though. I do have a history of oxalates problems (kidney stones) and against better judgment when I started this diet in January I started eating tons of oxalate rich foods. Of course after a month or two I started getting joint pains... Any tips for me? :)
Dr. Chaffee I started getting kidney stones & infections at freaking 14 yrs. old! I had them every year until I was 47 - I called my Nephrologist on my 48th birthday to tell him I would NOT NEED HIS SERVICES ANYMORE! 😊 We NEVER knew why... maybe this was it! I'm 57 & NO MORE KIDNEY STONES 🎉
Amazing, isn't it! I went to the ER over and over for kidney stones and was only accused of drinking soda and alcohol and accused of lying when I said I don't drink those. I figured I needed to just get healthier...so...in comes daily almonds, spinach and dark greens, dark chocolate, etc. I started passing stones at shorter intervals. Thank goodness I stumbled across a video that started my plunge into learning the truth. Haven't passed one since. How could not even ONE healthcare professional tell you how to prevent them! You were 14! In all those years after not ONE knew enough about the profession they chose to be able to help!? I stopped going to doctors. If I go to one again I will choose wisely and not by how close to home they are!
I stopped eating 98% of potatoes in February 2023 with the goal of shedding some weight. Within 2 months an eye condition cleared up and the oxalates stopped coming out of my eyes. Within 4 months I'd shed two stone in weight. Within 7 months a gut/bowel issue cleared up. I was amazed at the difference it made. During the summer I came across interviews with Sally K Norton and I immediately bought copies of her book for myself and my friends for presents. I then began cutting our more foods that are high in oxalates.By the time I was 9 months in, I began getting dumping symptoms and oxalates began coming out of my skin and scalp, so I then slowed down the process, but I did put weight on again over the winter just gone. Hence, I'm taking it much slower this spring, 2024. Joints and muscles are giving me a really hard time of it, but I'm persevering.
What I found that was awesome against oxalate dumping was smearing beef tallow on my abdomen and chest (about 1-2 grams total) once a day. GAME CHANGER
The prevalence of antibiotic use in contemporary times has led to a notable increase in issues related to oxalates. Within the human gut, there exists a crucial bacterium, Oxalobacter formigenes, responsible for managing oxalate levels. Unfortunately, the widespread use of antibiotics has been associated with a reduction in the colonies of O. formigenes, exacerbating problems related to oxalate metabolism. Vitamin C undergoes conversion into oxalate during the process of metabolism, with oxalate absorption being contingent upon the health of your gut.
@@ValidityJ Never take antibiotics again and drink kefir from raw milk on regular basis. Spend time in nature, don't be afraid to get down and dirty. The richer the internal microbiome the healthier you will be.
Again very interesting. My stepmother has been a vegetarian/vegan for most of her adult life, around the age of 50, she started to crave meat, so she had a little steak now and again, she then went on to sadly develop Parkinson’s disease in her late fifties. Now in her seventies she needs to be assisted with most daily needs, she has also said that she believes she should not of been a vegetarian for so long. 😢
Very interesting discussion. Also a bit unnerving. Just when you think you've got it together, one's body decides to dump some oxalates and wham...back to being Sherlock Holmes! Good to be aware of all this stuff. Our amazing bodies❤
Fun fact. The human body actually makes its own oxalic acid. Not very much, but the mechanism for antifreeze killing humans and other animals is that it forces the body to overproduce oxalic acid/form crystals. The oxalic acid and oxilate crystals then kill the person/animal. Even those who survive often have permanent damage. Also, taking vitamin C on carnivore or low carb can force the overproduction of oxalic acid (just to a lesser extent). I also read once that the "calcium scores" from peoples arteries are actually calcium oxilates. I'm not sure about that last one, but why not those little suckers are insidious.
I found an obscure research paper by, I think, Japanese or perhaps Chinese researchers, which was looking at the effect of a proteolytic enzyme, Lumbrokinase, on oxalates. Their finding was that Lumbrokinase does actually dissolve them. I happened to have some Lumbrokinase so my husband (80) and I (76) who have just switched to carnivore from keto and were having oxalates dumping symptoms, tried it. We both feel so much better. We are only an N of 2 but, it seems to us that Lumbrokinase does work and we can even feel it working. Our energy is up and aching and stiffness, among other symptoms, are down! We are also using supplements that Elliot Overton at EONutrition suggests to help the body clear oxalates, but those are mostly operating as binders, not dissolving the oxalate crystals. Together, both approaches are making this needed process far more tolerable. Given our ages, we believe we need to get them out as quickly and as safely as possible!
I’ve been carnivore for just over a month (Lion since January 1), but I was plant-based for the last 20 years. I’m going through phases of oxalate dumping. Nasty stuff coming out of my eyes. Random skin ulcers that heal fast. Acne comes and goes, but is mostly gone for the first time in 35 years. Occasional diarrhea, but IBS was fixed on day one of carnivore. Itchy skin comes and goes. Random short stomach aches with gas. I can’t wait for that garbage to be completely out of my system. I may have weaned had I found this video before so many others that prompted me to commit. I flipped a switch and went full carnivore in one day. And I’m taking calcium carbonate powder for indigestion heartburn if I eat or drink too close to bedtime. I pray I don’t get another kidney stone. I’ve passed three. 😖
Have you heard of ( Chance piedra) it helps pass the stones you have and avoids new ones. I passed 3 last year and that helped me, now I only take occasionally when I start feeling a symptom. I don't know if it's Carnivore approved but it solves the problem without having to go to the hospital
For indigestion/hurtburn start to drink Apple cider vinegar 01 tablespoon after meal. Increase with the time. Do not drink alcalis at all! Ruin your digestion all the way down.
I have been doing the all meat diet for 3plus years dumping oxalates around 8mths in. It has been challenging. I now take calcium citrate, magnesium citrate and use citric acid and high potassium salt to help with dealing with the oxalates. There are many people like me experiencing this however most stop eating this way. It is greatly misunderstood imho. Oxalate dumping can be extremely difficult to go through. Years of it is hell on the body and mind. Thankfully I now am getting on top of it.
Me too, dumping harshly after 8 months of perfection eating mostly carnivore. It can happen at any time, months or years after stopping eating ox foods. Currently for me, it’s hard to even gauge low ox intake to mitigate the dumping. One cup of black tea can be too much. As an example. Better out than in!
@@olgakuchukov6981: Oh yeah, the "perfection" of constantly making uric acid stones and labeling them as oxalate stones from long ago to assuage yourself. Sounds very "perfect" indeed.
@@hoon_sol what do YOU nean by “perfection?” In my statement above, I meant that everything was perfect for me as soon as i began carnivore- weight loss, lack of cravings, sleep, motivation, lifelong depression gone, many other pains and issues gone, great suatained energy, easy eating regimen, loving the taste of the food, etc. I’m being hyperbolic. The perfection is only in contrast to hpw messed up my relationship with food was all my life. Oh i see, you’re being a sarcastic, dismissive twit. Gotcha. Perhaps there are multiple effects happening and the uric acid doesn’t exist in a vacuum. That oxalic crystals combine with uric acid and cause mayhem. Whatever. Carry on believing in a limited perspective. No time for that kind of trolling.
@@olgakuchukov6981: I mean that calling something as idiotic as a "carnivore" diet "perfection" is laughable and delusional. And no, oxalate crystals don't "combine" with uric acid, that's not even remotely how biochemistry, or chemistry in general, works. In one sense it must be "easy" going through life without having any clue what you're doing or about what you're saying, like rattling off statements that are obviously absurd and bizarre to someone who knows even basic chemistry, but in another it must actually be quite difficult due to all the problems you're inevitably causing to yourself.
Thank you for posting about dairy and oxalate dumping. I’ve been carnivore for almost 4 months and keep having these periods of time that I get extreme vertigo & migraines. I’ve noticed it was when I ate yogurt, kefir or whole milk but didn’t understand the connection. Now I think I was dumping oxalates due to the dairy. I will stay away from dairy or limit it greatly. Thanks very much!
Just recently, I've noted a correlation with the times I over indulge in cheese, and an increase in the skin breakouts around my eyes, and the tartar on my teeth.
@@ianstuart5660 Probably, never had vertigo before, or after the first carnivore year dumps. I had a lot of plaque forming almost overnight on my lower teeth at that time too.
Off Oxalates for 3yrs… been very hard!! thank you Sally k Norton for your book. Can’t do with just diet, need to replace minerals, calcium and detoxify slowly and carefully… as per her book Toxic Super foods. High in Nuts, spinach, beets, sweet potatoes, chocolate etc also sugar makes it and liver genetically can make Oxalates
Read the book Toxic supper foods and/or google lists of Oxalate foods and restrict intake to under 100gm/day. Look up Sally K Norton on u tube or website
Dr Anthony you’re so relaxing to listen to. I always feel like you would be a great doctor to come visit for a consultation. You are very patient and generous with your explanations.
so what do you do then? you go carnivore and eat small amounts of dairy? theres no way to dissolve the stones before it gets to the point of no return?
Watching this while sipping a mug of high oxalate hot chocolate half and half with coffee. Five yrs on carnivore. This little bit won't hurt me, but I just came in from really cold outside.😀
Catrus, plenty of people cheat a bit and still have amazing results. It’s not about only beef and salt for most of us, but those with stubborn health issues. Just living Carnivore with an occasional cheat is VERY SUSTAINABLE
@@catsrus2890 hater I’m sure people on whatever diet you’re on has cheated I would never eat any plant material ever again personally and plenty can agree
If you eat cheese with oxalate they bind to that calcium in the cheese whilst it’s in your gut and you poop them out , rather than the body reabsorbing them back into the blood stream and showing up in the kidneys as stones … I had a 10 ml stone last year after doing carnivore diet for a month and had a dumping . 😭. 43 days of agony waiting for surgery ..
Sally Norton recommends lemon juice and or small amount of carrot to slow down oxalate dumping. I have massive watery diarrhoea from detoxing too quickly, after a year on carnivore, also crystals in eyes and itchht skin rash . Takes years to rid body of oxalates
I started carnivore but WOW dumping oxalates is no joke. I’m having awful pain. No Rx helps. I’m a nurse and just walking is excruciating & awful paIn at night. I have Sally Nortons book to help but still not doing well. Was vegetarian x17yrs :(. Her fees are so high and months to get a consultation. This has ruined my last 1-1/2 yrs. I pray new research comes out!! Still want to lean towards carnivore for autoimmune and gut issues
Look up trying low oxalate diet. Susan Owens is the scientist discovering oxalates, the website has spread sheets of all the foods that have been tested at the University of Wyoming. Woman should not eat more than 50 mg according to Susan, but go down slowly. Men can eat 60mg. . I have followed this info for 71/2 years with no more kidney stones or any aches and pains.
You may want to try taking Diatomaceous Earth. It is high in silica which helps with cleaning out and lubricating joints and ligaments. It has been a game changer for me
11:30 mentions Sally Norton's new book "Toxic Superfoods" on oxylates, etc. (She herself suffered starting as a child of 11 - and later on, figured this stuff out and dedicated her life to studying it.)
I’m 10 mos carnivore. There have been many benefits, like 50lbs weight loss. Now I am experiencing dull, persistent ache in lower back, buttocks, shoulders, knees and poor sleep. Sally specifically mentions poor sleep as an indicator of ox-dumping. Had a cup of coffee today and it eased.
It’s possible to make oxalate rich vegetables edible - eg. by fermentation. Fermenting red beets has been a tradition in Europe for a very long time. Guess why. In ancient South America, potatoes were grated, dried in the sun, then watered and then dried again to remove solanines. There have been techniques all over the world to make plants edible. Today people believe that they can eat every vegetable raw. Not a good idea.
Coming through insane oxalate dumping since August 2023. Think it's slowing down. Crystals, sand, needles, gunk emerged from all kinds of uncomfortable places. Psoriasis (which I'd never had) and more. Carnivore since January 2023. No dairy Carnivore since January 2024. Hoping the end is in sight. Thanks so much for the video.
I had to stop dairy because of my auto immune conditions. Constipation 😢 ... as I heal, my tolerance for it is slightly improved. But was seriously not good for me then.
I'm allergic to cow milk allergy and some things I noticed definitely I can have some skim milk , pizza once in a blue moon but it has to do with the cheese content , I use to eat alot of cheese before I found out of allergy, and oh my goodness big difference, believe it or not we all are allergic to cow milk
@@mediumtraceylockwoodwhoa I'm allergic to cow milk , I can have some skim milk but I have to be mindful, I have noticed a lot since I don't eat dairy it's so bad I can't eat ice cream I have not had ice cream for a long time , milk is not really good for anyone the enzyme of that cell chemical in it everyone is allergic
Moderation is key. Too much of anything can harm you. I like spinach & sweet potatoes but not everyday or in large amounts either. Pace yourself & eat a variety of good quality foods and not in large quantities either. 😊
@AnthonyChaffeeMD Dr. Chaffee, great info once again. I do have a question about a 3 day water fast and how it relates to the carnivore (proper human diet) diet
Hey everyone, Sally Norton just did an interview with Peak Performance channel, a week ago or so, and it’s a good, comprehensive cover of this topic. I’ve listened to many of her interviews including the one she did with Dr Chaffee. I have her book and follow her website. She mentioned that fruit juices do not contain oxalates, while vegetable juices do contain oxalates. This is an important distinction and counterintuitive. This is valuable information for someone like me following a seasonal way of eating. Whatever berries I grow in summer in my NE USA location, I want to learn how to process. Or if that’s an option. Currently, my attitude about all my planted berry bushes is: happy to feed the birds. Cheers.
Interesting. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes three years ago due to drinking sugary drinks & not eating right. I immediately went on a strict diet & do a protein & organic berry & spinach smoothie every morning. I’ve noticed over the last year that I have body & joint aches after a long day. I do the spinach for the iron & fiber. A good handful of spinach every morning. Who knew I was hurting my body 🤷🏻 Going to ween off the spinach & eat more meat & fish. Also going to order Sally Nortons book.
One of the hardest things to comes to terms with is being duped into believing that celery spinach beetroot sweet potatoe smoothie is super healthy!!! Oxalate dumping is horrendously real ! Thanks for presenting this topic so articulately- Sally Norton’s book has been the only thing that saved my health after years of ‘detoxing’ following medical medium. I completed a 72 hour water fast with the most horrendous oxalate dumping, acid burning my throat and mouth. Now just try to avoid all high oxalate foods that we still mis-lead to believe are healthy - spinach sweet potatoes beetroot but this video is a reminder even to me that nuts and seeds cocoa are creeping back in … easy not to be vigilant
Chinese people always blanch the vegetables high in oxalate to reduce the amount of oxalate. The water must be dumped after blanching. And then sauté or make salad with the vegetables. Studies have shown that 180g spinach in 1000ml boiling water for 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 4 minutes, respectively, the removal rate of soluble oxalic acid is 43%, 50%, 54.7%, 58.9%.
I used to drink green smoothies, eat almond bars, sweet potatoes etc. All the stuff advertised as super healthy. I got severe throbbing pain in my bones, muscles, joints, eyes. Peeing was painful, very stinging. Flu like symptoms and flare ups. Extreme exhaustion. It took me a long while to research and find out the cause. The doctors could not find anything. One said it's in your head. Now it's 10 years later and I have no tolerance to oxalates at all and still dumping. The worst is the eye pain when those crystals come out. People don't know about the dangers of oxalates.
You might want to add back some oxalates to signal to the body to slow down dumping. Two bags of black tea in a cup might be enough, you'll have to try and see, it's individual. Also, lemon water plus minerals like calcium-, potassium- and magnesium citrates can be really helpful! Read Sally K Norton's book Toxic superfoods.

First time I've ever heard this!!!!! I'm so willing to be on board! Love the science you speak of.. really helps me understand what is going on.. So, I have a sick pancreas and liver. Also told i have excess toxins- stress is what I figured... I've been told not to eat any fat which make the pancreas work harder in digestion... not to drink milk, eat cheese, or oils. (Instead to eat greens greens greens.. sugar omitted, grain omitted) How will the carnivore diet affect this? It all started when I started drinking my sisters raw cow milk and cream. I dream a lot. @@fryertuck6496 I ended up breaking out in a nasty rash and looked at oxalate dumping symptoms and I had that and a few others so that’s what I did. The rash is going away finally.
For me 80 degrees Celsius wet sauna tends to trigger some pretty intense oxalate dumping. So I pretty much can't do it at the moment since I'm trying to detox more gradually. Although others might be able to tolerate it better than me.
Great info isn't it. But I have to remark as a smart ass to your comment. With oscillates at least we won't rust on the inside like the Tinman and stay away from my woody. Just had to do it.
All these years I figured out it wasn't dairy I was sensitive to but it was oxalates. I cleared my throat constantly and had drippy nose and watery eyes and ringing ears. I figured out I was reacting to oxalates when the only thing I ate different that I normally wouldn't eat was Cacao powder. When I drank milk all my symptoms went completely away. The only thing I can figure is the milk bound the oxalates. It explains why all those years before going canivore I always craved milk with oxalate foods. It also explains why Sometimes I thought I was reacting to milk when I was really only reacting to oxalates.
Thanks again DR Chaffee! Your videos have changed my life and I'm still carnivore after 1 year, it´s incredible! I´m just wondering if oxalates have a part to play in accelerating CTE and brain injury in sports players? The more I read about it the more I´m convinced that the high carb, high oxalate diets athletes are on has to compound these problems. Would be interesting to hear your take on it since you use to play rugby.
My dog occasionally will smell different leaves of the same plant and he will eat only the few after smelling.does it mean the dog has smell for oxalic acid or poisonous plants leafs?
You can reduce the oxalates in food by boiling it and discarding the water. Different plants take different amounts of time. Sweet potatoes need to be boiled at least 45 minutes, whereas beets need only 15 to 20 minutes. I ate spinach salads for YEARS so when I switched to an ultra low carb, higher meat diet I ended up getting kidney stones. I have since gone full carnivore and haven’t had an issue with stones. That calcium info is very helpful I will definitely keep that in mind. Thank you 🙏
❤🥩⚖ So you all take in low amounts of Calcium which could help with the oxalates. Low Magnesium, Low Vitamin D, No Vitamin C and No Vitamin E. This is correct?
Am told the book recommended cooking chicken with ShakeNBake and eating apple fruit bars. So put back my credit card.❤. But continue to be SO grateful for your videos generally.
If you’re talking about Sally Norton’s Toxic Superfoods, the book includes descriptions pf MULTIPLE different types of meal plans and different ways to gradually cut back on oxalates. Sally herself didn’t do well on all carnivore and had to add in some liw ox plant foods. It’s still a highly valuable book.
Everything's becoming more and more expensive - vegetables, fruits, processed foods, sweets, chocolates, bread, cakes, coffee, boxed cereals ... just about everything.
I had a brief case of pseudo-gout, it was awful. I’ve had fibromyalgia and thyroid problems for ages. I wish I had this information 20 years ago to prevent all the misery of poor health.
Urine tests are very unreliable bcs the body dumps in cycles and in different times of the day. So basically you can take a test where your urine is ok and then you'll think that you don't have an oxalate issue but if you had taken that test at another time it might have been really high in oxalates.

Beginners level. There's more, or you dump for years. Dumping is mobilising oxalates that can't go out, so they are fixed somewhere else, ak you get double damage. And we need more info about minerals and vitamins needed.
Dr. Chaffee - I thought Id share an interesting observation - I have found that even low oxalate spices or a tiny bit of some spices cause bad watering and pain in my one eye that has had surgery. Anthony I didn’t know oxylate dumping was real - while i was detoxing the first few weeks in Carni I had bad joint pains and then for a couple months I had oxylates oozing out of my eyes.

Weird cabbage juice cures my arthritis.
Thank you very much
Yes, I went from moderate meat and copious vegs to keto- low carb, more meat but lots of nuts, sweet potatoes, chard, buckwheat etc, cut out sugars and husband has lacto intolerance.
Boil it and throw the water away, it will reduce the amount of the oxalates.
Great tips- thanks!
Thanks, how do you improve microbiome on a carnivore diet though? I thought fermented and raw foods does that.
Lemon juice is high in oxalates.i just read it in her book🤔

I didn't need to lose so much weight, but I noticed I started to gain some after my car accident that caused me not being able to go to gym for over a year now.
Good luck!

Thanks for bringing this extremely important topic up and for mentioning Sally K Norton and her book Toxic superfoods.💕🎉 I'm about 2 years into low oxalate eating and I have barely scratched the surface...😅I've eaten plantbased diets for decades!🤪
As a child I had lots of ear infections and was given several rounds of antibiotics.
🤪 I actually went back to a plantbased diet after 9 months of carnivore and for a while that felt better...until it didn't ofc.😅
Now in retrospect I understand that I felt initially better again bcs it temporarily halted the oxalate dumping I got on carnivore bcs I added back lots of plants and that gave my body a signal to stop dumping and start storing! But that bucket will absolutely start to spill over if you continue to ingest lots of oxalates ofc....
Sadly I went to the highest oxalate diet I ever been on, following Medical Medium diet and protocols. (That tells you a little something about how effing sick and desperate I was....😢)
I drank cerlery juice, spinach smoothies and ate sweet potatoes, potatoes and so on, so forth. I ate several THOUSANDS of mg of oxalates a day! I thought I couldn't get any sicker but oh boy....I was absolutely poisoned and thought I was going to die.😢
That's when I found Sally K Norton and binge watched tons of interviews with her.
(Clearing is a milder, more manageable version of dumping.)
I've had to add back both some plants and some carbs bcs my body just can't fat adapt and it seems like I can't produce sufficient amounts of endogenous glucose via gluconeogenesis bcs I get dangerously low blood sugar which induces an extreme rush of stresshormones and months and months of severe insomnia as a result.
(I've done it for 15 months in total so it's not for lack of trying, that's for dang sure.😅)
By now I've been to over 40 of Sally K Norton's classes btw. It's a game changer!!🌞
Minerals like calcium, magnesium and potassium are VERY important to eat/take when one has an oxalate issue.
We all have ups & downs in our lives, sending positive energy that you have way more ups than downs on this crazy life path we all seem to be on 💝 x

Love your message dude, keep it up❤️
Wise decision, all best wishes!
Let us know how it goes.
I'm Norwegian as well. I'm almost 8 months into the carnivore diet at this point. Pro tip: Buy your steaks in Sweden and save money. It's expensive here 😂

There are no more in there, and I’m praying I don’t form anymore. Despite this, I will be sticking with carnivore because I’m convinced it’s the right diet for me.

Honestly, I would just cut out the greens completely. I think it would benefit you
WOW.. you just described me!!!

Cuz it's low in carbs
Sweet potatoes 1 cup -27 grams of carbs & almonds 1 cup is equivalent to 28 grams of carbs. Low carb diet is 30 grams & below carbs. Keto diet is when there is presence of ketones in the blood or urine tests
Yep like original poster posted “I ended up with large Oxolate kidney stones”. Microphone Dropped 😳.
The achiness in the mornings I had as a 61 y.o. was gone, too
If you want to search out Sally Norton, I'd recommend her interview with Jesse Chappus. (The one she did with Anthony Chaffee is more on the academic side while the other one is more on in a practical level.) (Thank me later 😅)

On another note, the two things that turned me to a middle of the night web search, while on the carnivore diet, were waking up to "leg cramps" and prior, experiencing a soreness in my kidneys. One really wouldn't know what to think if we didn't have the growing and supportive community(who can still think for themselves) we have now in this quest for optimal health and dietary truth.
My leg cramps are caused by needing more electrolytes. Now I take one half teaspoon keto chow drops in the morning and 1/2 teaspoon at night.
Potassium, magnesium and sodium. Make sure you get these daily
Isn't leg cramps magnesium needed ?

That's interesting. Is there a way to repair it?

How lessen the calcium score in heart ?
Appreciate the info on lumbrokinase
Lumbrokinase is used for DVT and other related issues, so benefits could have come from these being improved.

I took a lot of potassium citrate during my first year on carnivore and still had oxalate induced vertigo attacks at night couple of times.
Does that mean they were in your brain?
@@ianstuart5660 Probably, never had vertigo before, or after the first carnivore year dumps. I had a lot of plaque forming almost overnight on my lower teeth at that time too.
Chaffee for president of the world ❤😊
We eat WAY to FUNKING MUCH in this country 😢. Eyes mind heart and soul wide open. NO FEAR ❤!
Thank you!
Hello:) how long you been doing carnivore and how long it took you to get rid of oxalate dumping?
How to do slowly?
Read the book Toxic supper foods and/or google lists of Oxalate foods and restrict intake to under 100gm/day. Look up Sally K Norton on u tube or website
Hey, Dr. Chaffee, I love your videos😊
Dr Anthony you’re so relaxing to listen to. I always feel like you would be a great doctor to come visit for a consultation. You are very patient and generous with your explanations.
so what do you do then? you go carnivore and eat small amounts of dairy? theres no way to dissolve the stones before it gets to the point of no return?
i would like to know too
Watching this while sipping a mug of high oxalate hot chocolate half and half with coffee. Five yrs on carnivore. This little bit won't hurt me, but I just came in from really cold outside.😀
Haven’t tried chocolate in my coffee yet.

Keep on!i was 14 yrs vegetarian...you ll wake up one day and you ll be as good as new.
Look up trying low oxalate diet. Susan Owens is the scientist discovering oxalates, the website has spread sheets of all the foods that have been tested at the University of Wyoming. Woman should not eat more than 50 mg according to Susan, but go down slowly. Men can eat 60mg. . I have followed this info for 71/2 years with no more kidney stones or any aches and pains.
struggling with terrible joint pain here too - especially knees - that I didn't have until months into carnivore. It seems to just get worse!
You may want to try taking Diatomaceous Earth. It is high in silica which helps with cleaning out and lubricating joints and ligaments. It has been a game changer for me
Borax , Boron
11:30 mentions Sally Norton's new book "Toxic Superfoods" on oxylates, etc. (She herself suffered starting as a child of 11 - and later on, figured this stuff out and dedicated her life to studying it.)
Love Dr. Chaffee & Sally K. Norton ❤🙏🏼
My eyes are so crusty and itchy every day. I thought it was dry eye but I’m wondering if it’s oxilate dumping.
can also be blepharitis which i had this year for the first time at age 65
Why would you drop dairy?
It has no detrimental effect on us.
Great bin thinking about this issue lately and then you bring the answers. 🤘
Please don't abandon RUMBLE!! Love your work.
What frequency are these oxilates so you can shatter them or turn them into another form with frequency ?
Who knew I was hurting my body 🤷🏻
Going to ween off the spinach & eat more meat & fish.
OMG that medical medium grifter has so much blood on his hands. I know people that worship him it’s insane !
Chinese people always blanch the vegetables high in oxalate to reduce the amount of oxalate. The water must be dumped after blanching. And then sauté or make salad with the vegetables. Studies have shown that 180g spinach in 1000ml boiling water for 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 4 minutes, respectively, the removal rate of soluble oxalic acid is 43%, 50%, 54.7%, 58.9%.

is that why people on vegetarian and vegan diets have poorer bone structure/strength?
I have kidney pain since starting the carnivore diet , I also have alot of crystals in my urine ? I only eat meat . 3 months now on the lion diet.
It's probably because of Oxalates dumping. It can take a long time for them to clear!
Uric acid stones. Very common in people who eat high-nitrogen diets. Maybe take a few minutes to learn about "the disease of kings" before proceeding.

(Instead to eat greens greens greens.. sugar omitted, grain omitted)
How will the carnivore diet affect this?
It all started when I started drinking my sisters raw cow milk and cream. I dream a lot. Want more than a month and it Felt like my belly/abs was being ripped in two.
The Oxalates and milk spoken of sounds like that might have been what I was experiencing.
Any help as I move forward on this...
Thank you
Dr Osborne just put out a good video very balanced on the CV diet. I recommend it
Should we taper off of oxalates before we go 💯 carnivore? I’ve been carnivore for 3 weeks and just read Sally Nortons book and am going back and forth
Lose the plants while using coffee and/or 85% dark chocolate to smooth the effects.
@@fryertuck6496 I ended up breaking out in a nasty rash and looked at oxalate dumping symptoms and I had that and a few others so that’s what I did. The rash is going away finally.
This should be talked about more I'm 1.5 months in and almost gave up from being tired but thankfully I found out about this and going to continue
What about sweating in a sauna? Would that help with oxalate dumping?
I think a bit but if you keep eating oxalates above 100 mg it is hard to get rid of them
For me 80 degrees Celsius wet sauna tends to trigger some pretty intense oxalate dumping. So I pretty much can't do it at the moment since I'm trying to detox more gradually. Although others might be able to tolerate it better than me.
@@exactam0 Dry sauna is excellent for ridding of toxins.
Does the dumping also include vertigo symptoms? Im going from keto to carni these days and got hit with vertigo hard
Oxalic acid is used as rust remover and timber stripper. Nasty stuff.
Good question!
Thank you 🙏
You can also put 5 filters on a cigarette.
The real question is - why smoke in the first place 😮
So glad to have found Dr. Chaffee!! Can frequent migraines associated with gut issues be from oxalates? Seems connected!
❤🥩⚖ So you all take in low amounts of Calcium which could help with the oxalates. Low Magnesium, Low Vitamin D, No Vitamin C and No Vitamin E. This is correct?
In very large amounts, oxalic acid may be considered slightly toxic, interfering with proper digestion and kidney function.

That's called "inflation".....!!!!
@@VincentConti-m5j then why are crap foods still cheap(
Everything's becoming more and more expensive - vegetables, fruits, processed foods, sweets, chocolates, bread, cakes, coffee, boxed cereals ... just about everything.

I had a brief case of pseudo-gout, it was awful. I’ve had fibromyalgia and thyroid problems for ages. I wish I had this information 20 years ago to prevent all the misery of poor health.
you can test for it. If you are truly oxalate dumping it would show up in a urine test.
Urine tests are very unreliable bcs the body dumps in cycles and in different times of the day. So basically you can take a test where your urine is ok and then you'll think that you don't have an oxalate issue but if you had taken that test at another time it might have been really high in oxalates.
But it's rather easy to see if you have cloudy urine yourself though
@@cammieklund so there are no other reasons for cloudy urine? It has to be oxalates?

These people don't want to disprove their crazy notions. They could easily confirm that what they're seeing are uric acid crystals, caused by the diet they're consuming right now rather than what they've consumed in the past, but they won't want to hear that.
I use to eat alot of spinch more than collard greens, i eat more collard greens every now and than not so much like spinch but i have been noticing alot of different foods and such which ones bring ra flare ups arthritis and so on , too much of any thing is not good but a good fast cleanse and change the way you eat does help and make a difference, its amazing, the keto is not for everyone nor is the carnv but we do need meat not bugs for go green, , im glad this video is good info , ibs and cow milk allergies are not good i hope this helps my nutrition eating more meats strange more chicken instead of too many steaks more hamburger meat than steak or roast and tuna or salmon every now and then more veggies and fruits rice as well
Does vitamin B6/vitamin B1 help mitigate the oxalate overload/dumping process?
14:50 calcium (dairy) can bind oxylates for excretion
Good to know. Thanks
Beginners level. There's more, or you dump for years. Dumping is mobilising oxalates that can't go out, so they are fixed somewhere else, ak you get double damage.
And we need more info about minerals and vitamins needed.
Can these oxalates cause high eye pressure ? I'm having an issue with border line high pressure in my left eye.
This could be glaucoma. Please see your doctor
Dr. Chaffee - I thought Id share an interesting observation - I have found that even low oxalate spices or a tiny bit of some spices cause bad watering and pain in my one eye that has had surgery. Wish all this food info was available sooner. But thank you for all your videos. They have been helpful!
