      @@limiv5272 this is not unhealthy at all. "diet" foods aren't necessarily healthy either. this however would make a decent side to any meal.

    I live in southern Idaho where lots of onions are grown. Lots of commercial onion rings start right here. For whatever reason, the onions that fall off the trucks on the way to the onion ring factory are always MUCH, MUCH better than anything you can buy in the store. So if I do a "Bloomed Onion" I will use one out of the ditch that bounced off a truck.

      If you make a bloomed onion, be do a video and show yourself literally picking it out of the ditch, that would be AWESOME!

    I don’t think anybody would like to touch ornions at a cocktail so i made it for a seated family lunch with red onions from Tropea. I drizzled some crema di Balsamico before serving. 👌

    My husband suggested we have this for a "finger dinner" with cold shrimp. It was fantastic! As a dipping sauce, we highly recommend Sweet Baby Ray's "Ray's Secret Sauce" Dipping Sauce. We plan to make this on small round platters with dipping sauce ramekins in the center for individual appetizers. This is the perfect bar food.

    You made my celiac teen smile. Shes never had onion rings, or a blooming onion. It's one if the things I have never been able to reproduce. Shes going to do this using gluten free bread crumbs. Thank you for this recipe, it will be easy for her to do.

      Once I invited some colleagues over for. BBQ ..... two guys mention that either their wives or themselves don’t eat garlic and onions , no black pepper or any strong spices and only Gluten free .... well.... I told them very polite that all my food and salad has onion and garlic , and we only eat bread with Gluten ... and in all the sauces is chili powder and a lot of black pepper on the meat .....they did not show up and nobody cared either .....
