Unbelievable that someone during the pandemic of 2020 can get lost on a lute like it's 1523. This is amazing and very well played. Feels like I can go back in time: Thanks for playing this !
Hi Emil, thanks for your nice comment! Good luck with the transition from guitar to lute. It might seem difficult with the right hand technique, but with practice and dedication you can quickly enjoy the sweet sound of the lute :)
@@Israel_Golani the right hand is definitely getting better. I spend a large portion of practice time on thumb index technique and developing a cleaner left hand. Tone has been improving consistently and has come a long way since starting. I immediately filed off my nails when I got the lute.
I've been a fan of your playing since I came across your wonderful rendition of da Milano's La Compagna. In addition to your excellent technique, you express the spirit of Early Music very effectively.
@@Israel_Golani Yes, my friend, it certainly is! And as Jordi Savall pointed out: when we play such music, we time travel directly to the same emotions and experiences of the people who first played and listened to those wonderful compositions, centuries ago.
Vous êtes un des meilleurs luthistes au monde, même p-e "le" meilleur!
Thank you Remi, for such a kind remark!
Love it...Searched Attaignant's Haulberroys on YT trying to find it and ended up here!! can't complain
Much obliged Mustafa!!

Thank you Bruno for the nice comment!
Très belle version. On entend bien le sujet dans les parties médianes (au ténor). L'équilibre entre les voix est parfait.
Bravisimo!
Thanks!
Excellent performances!!!! I just started learning Renaissance lute about 6 weeks ago on a 7 course lute. Thank you for the inspirational videos!

Thank you Robert, for your kind words! Isn’t renaissance music such a good antidote to the modern rat race?
