- Cover of the CSNY song. Davy's first guest appearance with Warren Haynes and Govt Mule, at the Smith Opera House in Geneva NY. Back Door Slam supported the Mule on each of their Autumn tour dates; Davy got up to jam at the end of each show, and both Warren & Danny Louis (GM keyboards) joined BDS during their own set at several gigs. These were also the last dates of a 310 date tour in support of BDS debut album 'Roll Away'
I just love the way Warren, and incredible as he is, will take second stage and let someone else shine. Support, fill and encourage. Davy is awesome, Warren is the master. Nuff said.

Jesus Christ!, that was wicked. Thanks Warren for showing our youth what bad ass music is. This kid Davie Knowles is fuckin talented and has definitely picked the right style of music!!!
A decade on and Davy does this tune regularly, on his own. And always kills it.
loved that "have you ever loved a woman" and "gonna send you back to georgia" in Minneapolis.
Davey & Warren on the same stage.
Mint.
davey knowles is 100% the best guitarist alive today under the age of 40
I just now told my buddy Davey is the baddest, then I see this post!
Yeah this is music...not the crap they play now. It was done many years ago when feeling and soul went into a song. Could listen to stuff like this all day !!!!!
That, my friends, is the absolute dogs bollocks. Wayne and Davy - we salute you.
so much soul fur such a young guy?! and a brilliant cover of one of my fav tunes.
Just WOW, what I'd give to be in that room at that moment
Warren n Davy together that's what you call the blues roll n roll awesome wow thanks for sharin❤😊
Absolute musical genius from both Warren and Davy, and kudos for the whole Mule Movement!
OMG! This needs to happen again! Someone make that happen please!!!
I love the look on Warren's face during Davy's solo. Good stuff.
Davy Knowles .....man and guitar in one;)
I consider myself to be the biggest Derek Trucks fan on the planet. And without hesitation its clear: Davy Knowles can play. He surely belongs on the stage with Warren, (who's played with everyone and deserves the utmost respect). So with Davy it goes like this - great tone, great player. Can't wait to hear him evolve. And then there's this: it's simply impossible to compare him or anyone to Derek, because no one does what he does. 12 piece ensemble that melts your face called Tedeschi Trucks. It's all Derek. He's tearing down walls. Besides, as pure players, the comparisons are stupid because there both unbelievably amazing.
Oh, yes. This is worthwhile for many reasons.
You who know: enjoy it.
I've seem him twice and will definitely turn out to see him this year on his next tour. Gibson rates him among the top 10 best modern blues guitarists.
Davy is awesome. A friend of mine gave me his cd after seeing him live and I've been hooked ever since.
AWESOME!!!!
I saw these guys do this at The House Of Blues in Anaheim and I FREAKED! Hot damn, that's what music is all about!
I was at this show :)

Oh Dear God!! This is beyond fantastic!! WOW ! Thanks for the excellent post!
Just superb!!!!
damn. I need to see them live.
Great music. Just terrific.
Saw this fantastic combo three times. In KC, Warren talked you into playing a Les Paul during Mule's 2nd set. In STL, BDS show, I asked you if you made the change. You replied, Wait 'till the show. You broke out the PRS's. Then in KC again, BDS at Knuckleheads, you showed me the Private Stock PRS. WOW!!!
No, thank YOU so much.(Long Pretty Whistle) Great rendition of one of my favorite songs, Govt Mule! You guys rock! And I thank you! Now for some ZZ or Alvin Lee or Tull or Stevie.....
Great tune from David Crosby. Warren old enough to identify. And great axmen ripping it up.
Thank you for posting. Peace. :)
Hugely brilliant.

You mean the best that YOU have heard. And clearly, that's not saying much.
the back door slam hates me but i like them
Jorgen definitely didn't cut his hair ;)
@rainsjob
"Not the crap they play now"? This is a modern video. People ARE playing this kind of stuff now. And those are the people whos music I care about :) It does get on my nerves when people keep saying the only music around nowadays is manufactured shit. Every youtube video that isn't cheesy pop music has this exact same comment on it. Usually with a Bieber comparison. Yawwwwwn.
sucks they broke up/
That neuropathy ad is horse manure. Nerves don't get plaque.
Almost washed my hair!
