As interesting as that sounds, I'm also worried it might be too similar to the Bad Songs by Good Bands list. Still, I won't argue if that video happens since I'd be curious what other picks would be there.
For Raditude, I stick up for "If You're Wondering If I Want You To (I Want You To)." It's fun, it's bouncy, it doesn't take itself too seriously. Sure, the lyrics are a bit doofy, but I think you can get away with that on such a lighthearted track.
I must be the odd man out but I really like Raditude. More than a lot of their newer albums. And love is the answer is one of the worst tracks on the album. Regardless, I think we can all agree that there are definitely a lot of song/albums all Weezer fans straight up won't listen to.
Thought for sure this would be the choice from the album. Legit a fun and catchy Weezer song. I don't remember a thing from the album outside of it and that terrible can't stop partying song. Love is the answer is completely forgettable.
Fade In-Out is pretty average. Both All Around the World and It's Getting Better (Man) go on a few minutes too long, and All Around the World (Reprise) is cheesy and awful. The rest of the album's very good, though the mix is bad, all high end with no bass to it. I personally like Be Here Now best of their first three albums. I think it's desperately underrated, but I know I'm in a minority.
I like the remastered short version of D'you Know What I Mean (the one on their RUclips channel) but I feel like I would get tired of the full album version.
Metallica's experimental era (1991 to 2003) had a lot of diamonds in the rough, especially in the Reload and St. Anger albums. Reload has Devil's Dance, Slither, Low Man's Lyric (which almost has a Pink Floyd sound imo), Where the Wild Things Are. St. Anger has Frantic, Shoot Me Again, The Unnamed Feeling, Purify, and All Within My Hands.
@@jymmid.8278 I've recently heard it, and while it's not a drastic change, it's definitely better than what it originally was. Kinda like with the Director's Cut of Daredevil.
I wouldn't call "Be Here Now" album bad... It was more of a disappointment than bad, especially after such a masterpiece "What's the story, morning glory". "Don't go away" is a great track, but i prefer "Stand By Me".
Totally agree. Definitely Maybe and (What's the Story) Morning Glory are amazing albums. Noel admitted to cracking under the pressure with this album, everyone expected it to be as good as the first two. I think it has some good songs, Stand By Me is definitely my favorite. Though as a whole it does sound kind of bloated with all of the guitar overdubs and crappy production. Their next album Standing on the Shoulder of Giants is much better than Be Here Now in my opinion.
I read a review that metioned Super Collider's title track sounds like a Nissan Commercial 😂 And the only song that ever stuck to me is Kingmaker from Super Collider. Glad Dystopia was a return to sound 🤘🏽

I can't say much of Metallica, since I always found them rather cringy (and obsolete), but the band Enslaved had a similar drumming style on their 1997 album "Eld" which worked really well for the band and I really enjoyed. ruclips.net/video/Ukgsre1999w/видео.html ruclips.net/video/Ceds_1ep4Fg/видео.html Too bad that the band changed their style two albums later from (viking) black metal to something like psychedelic/stoner rock/progressive black metal. I'm not a fan of pretty much everything the band put out after Blodhemn.
@Dean Ponce it's not misunderstood. I can get behind the lyrics and emotions that went into the album as well as the change in style. What I can't tolerate is the drumming. The drumming alone makes the good songs harsh and tough to get through, and turns the lesser songs into unlistenable disasters.
It's got some other belters dirty window and invisible kid... My honest opinion is at anger would be a better album if any other band released it good album... Just not a good Metallica album
For Anthrax's Volume 8, while I agree the full package leaves a lot to be desired, I'd make an argument for the hidden track, "Pieces." Far from Anthrax's usual sound, it's a ballad written and sung by Frank Bello, the bass player, about his brother who was murdered, and the gunman (to my knowledge) was never caught. It comes from a really earnest and devastating place, and given the knowledge of what inspired that song, it's among the more emotional listening experiences in metal.
Totally disagree .....I think this album is awesome: Crushed / Born Again Idiot/ P&V / Hog Tied are all kick ass tunes. This is my second fav album with Bush on vocals (White Noise is the first).
I really enjoyed Volume 8, though I can understand fans preferring Joey's albums (Bush-era Anthrax feels more akin to Armored Saint in a way). For me, Catharsis, Stealing from a Thief and the hidden track Pieces are all standout Anthrax tunes from any era!
Anthrax in the 90s was better than the other big 4 crap they were doing, people only shit on them because being the smallest band of the 4, many don't even listen to that era of their music and get caught up on the haters blabbering
Oasis is one of my favorite bands ever, and I will always stick up for Be Here Now. I understand that many of the songs are really long, but (call me crazy) songs like Magic Pie and All Around The World are beautiful to me and some of my favorite songs by them, not to mention the kickass anthem that is “D’You Know What I Mean?”
Can't believe he didn't choose "D'you know what I mean" as the best song, a real rock anthem. But "All around the world" and others are so uselessly long (trying to create their "Hey Jude"s) that I didn't even finished to listen to the album. You can't try to mash up beat, hard / psych beat, post punk, and Sex Pistols... and do it with a prog length. Remains a popular album and fans still love the brothers, even if Oasis are no more on the top of Top albums ever lists as they were in '96-2000 Instead everybody snobs their last album, and they are missing some gems, the song "I'm outta time" is their successful try of creating something different and classic at the same time.
Yup. I love Queen, not in the least for their sound. But I can't stand the sound of the Mack years. Surprise, surprise - Under Pressure wasn't produced by Mack.
I have to admit, I like Chinese Democracy. I saw Axl’s Freakshow 3 times on the different Chinese Democracy tours. The title song is a fantastic opener, and the others from the album that are played live are quite excellent. I did see the Illusion lineup, and it was phenomenal, but the CD lineup had a great sound.
That album has a special place for me personally. I'm pretty sure it was one of the first things that I found when looking for electronic rock artists in the vein of Pendulum, I also discovered Celldweller and number of others around that same time, many of which went on to become some of my absolute favorites. So glad the consensus is that Narcissistic Cannibal is the best song on the album. I listened to that song at least 100 something times back in High School, and it does hold up really well. The rest of the album also holds up pretty well in my opinion and is in my top 5 as well!
Yeah, its a great album from a great band that gets hate only for being different, and that is the only real understandable criticism anyone can come up with... but it isn't a good criticism.
@@wesleyreimer3868 I hope I can find someway to get Luke to review Satellites when it drops... if only to get him to hear industrial metal done right. He has had multiple worst albums of the year come from rock-electronic hybrids gone wrong... so let's here it done right? I hope, I think he'll at least like My Disintegration. Also on that topic: new single on the 29th, Baptized In Fire.... and can we please get an album announcement to go with it? We're about to have over a half-hour of this album available with no release date if that's not the case lol
I actually like Be Here Now. It may be a little overproduced, and some of the songs could be a little bit shorter. But overall there's still great songwriting from Noel, and Liam sounds terrific. Speaking of Oasis, the following album Standing On The Shoulder of Giants (2000) could definitely be on this list. The only good song on that album is Gas Panic, which is absolutely brilliant, but the album as a whole is just... Boring!
I agree about Be Here Now. Not a bad album at all. But I disagree about SOTSOGs. Sunday Morning call, Go Let it Out, and where did it all go wrong are really good as well imo.
Don't forget about Roll it over. Actually, I think that Standing on the shoulders of giants is their second best album, just behind What's the story morning glory
Agreed on every single one of your points! Well written sir! I had to actually look up the tracklisting for SotSoG because that's how truly unremarkable that album is to me - gas panic and go let it out are the only ones i ever revisit. Be here now is mostly great imo (especially the first 6 songs) but like you i can understand why it's overlooked and panned following morning glory
What about Fuckin' in the Bushes?? I think that's a great way to open a record. But yeah, Be Here Now's biggest problem was probably just being the follow-up to two of the best records of all time. And cocaine. Lots and lots of cocaine.
Even when you take away the bezerk (but oddly boring) overproduction, Be Here Now isn't as good as the two albums before. Because the songs aren't as good.
Its definitely not their worst album bc lulu exist but its not their best for me the snare killed the album and the fact that Metallica didn't go Metallica is why alot of people didn't like it i think
@@lucamartinez9909 There's a cover of that entire album on RUclips with PROPER sound. It's the definitive proof that the songs on St. Anger aren't bad themselves, they just struggle to shine through the terrible production choices.
St. Anger is something of a... Marmite album for me. Some days I can listen to it just fine and enjoy it, some days I sit there thinking "Who in the actual hell thought this sounded good?!" That being said... yeah, The Unnamed Feeling slaps, definitely the only real highlight of the album
I would say: In Flames-Paralyzed (Siren Charms) Nickelback-Savin' Me (All The Right Reasons) BFMV-Don't Need You (Gravity) I See Stars-Running With Scissors (Treehouse) Kiss-I was made for lovin you (Dynasty) Weezer-Take On Me (Teal album) BMTH-Sugar Honey Ice Tea Limp Bizkit-My Way (CSAHDFW) Theory-RX Medicate (Wake Up Call) Ska-P-Se Acebo (99%)
For dynasty not all songs were hits but there were some good songs on there like sure know something, magic touch and save your love but that's obviously my opinion
Oasis - "Stand By Me" was also a great song on Be Here Now. Also I believe that most songs that Liam sings are great and Noel has a fair amount of good songs too.
There's like 3 or 4 good songs on St anger. I kind of feel like the hate is a fad. I listened to it before I heard all the hate and liked it. Not their best but I do listen to the album often
@@AdamDoing2326 I feel like it's the bad mix (the snare drum, but also the overall guitar sound and James' voice). St Anger songs sound much better live. I wish they would re-record it, and maybe rearrange some songs. It would be a solid record!
Wow, that is exactly the first song that came to mind for me, even though I haven't thought about it in years. Such a great song... on such an utterly mediocre, forgettable album.
@@TH3F4LC0Nx And that was an accident. Literally, the BB King sample was meant for another song. It was dropped in that one by accident, they couldn't figure out how to remove it, so they built around it. It's not a terrible album, though it a has a lot of peaks and valleys. Women, Where the Monkey meets the Man, and Rocket are good songs.
Great vid Luke! I have quarantine myself until 06/01 since I came in contact with someone who came in contact who was around a person who tested positive for COVID-19. Washing my hands and if I have to go get something from my kitchen, I’m masking and gloving your so I don’t get my roommates sick.
Cathedral Spires off Judas Priest's Jugulator. One of the few songs on that album to have any real energy from K.K. and Glenn (admittedly Painkiller was a VERY tough act to follow) and it's honestly the best Ripper ever sounded with Priest (outside of live albums). Also Tailgunner off of Iron Maiden's No Prayer for the Dying
Wasn't Cathedral Spires like the #1 most requested song for Judas Priest to perform live at some point? It was years ago, but I distinctively remember there being a massive push for it, but yeah great song... also its the best thing I've heard that's had Ripper on it.
Man, I never understood all the hate for No Prayer or Fear of the Dark. Sure, it's not Somewhere in Time or Number but there are a lot of great stuff on there. Well, to each his own, I guess.
St. Anger is probably the most underrated Metallica album just because it's Metallica. If St. Anger had Kirk's solos and actual snare, then it probably would not have gotten as much hate. Though if Korn wrote St. Anger, it'd be considered one of their best pieces of work.
The last two Green Day albums have been great, and I have the opinion that there are plenty of good songs on the Trilogy that justifies its existence, but God damn, it is hard to sit through all three of those albums into one sitting.
I am of the personal opinion, and I know it is an unpopular one, that listening to all of iUno Dos Tré! in a row is the best way to enjoy them. But, I personally really enjoy all 3 of them and don't understand all of the hate they get.
HeyItsDingo I think the main problems with those albums are just that they are filled with so many unnecessary tracks. There are even some okay songs on them that I wouldn’t miss if they got rid off. I think you take ten, maybe even fifteen of those tracks and make a killer little record.
@@taveontimmons5284 I think Billie Joe Armstrong confirmed in one interview that iDos! was going to be the second Foxboro Hot Tubs album, and was still going to be called iDos! I could be wrong, but I think I saw a reddit post or something about it.
HeyItsDingo I do remember the band saying that they saw Dos as the spiritual follow up to the Foxborro Hot tubs first album. In fact, in the trilogy documentary, Billie described the albums like this: Uno: Give me life Dos: Give me mid life Tre: Give me......oh God. He even went as far to call Uno and Tre the poppy ones and Dos as the “fucking weird one”. They clearly had good concepts and good ideas with the trilogy, it’s just that they didn’t quite know when to stop.
Isn't it about time that we admit that Chinese Democracy is actually a good album. Everyone has a different opinion about what that ONE great song on the so called bad album is. Some say it's Better, some say it's the title track, some say it's This I love, some say it's There Was A Time. Even Prostitute, Catcher In The Rye, If The World, Street Of Dream, Shackler's Revenge, Sorry and Madagascar are often named as the one good song on the album. They can't all be the only good song. Maybe it's time to admit that the album is full of good songs and it is actually a good album.
Did you just name every song on the album and say that “people” say they’re all respectively the one good song ? Who cares, if you love that album, it’s yours . People don’t know good music usually , especially when it comes to what appeals to you . I love For All Kings, by Anthrax . Because I was emotionally invested and followed the progress for months before it was released . I searched 4 different record stores to buy it the day it came out . I get it . It’s what makes being a fan worth while . Chinese Democracy is a good album , because it came out after years and lifelong fans finally got the payoff to owning it and having that connection .Kudos to you brother .
Had it been released as Axl Roses solo project, it would be lauded as a fantastic album. There’s only one song on it I’m not a fan of, and even then that’s not a bad song.
I like St. Anger, not because it’s good, but because it’s so interesting. It’s just so stupid it’s almost good. I don’t listen to it often, but when I do it’s a ride.
I have the version with the studio dvd where they play the album...its sounds so much better the snare sound is more tolerable so you can hear some of the riffs and lyrics without that horrible sound. It's still Metallica's worst album but it is a lot better hearing it without that snare.
Some Kind of Monster (the documentary behind making of the St.Anger) is one of the best music documentaries I've ever watched. It definitely gives an insight into a band that was going through a difficult time.
I think Saint Anger mostly had decent to good songs. Production wasn’t great. But neither was DM or AJFA. And it mostly got hate for just being different. (Ironically from the “die hard” fans you made fun of who in fact, despise anything post AJFA to a toxic level, aside from sometimes DM) I’ve heard the same snare sound in countless metal bands and nobody says shit, a little bit of good mixing would make the album sound a hell of a lot better. But same can be said for those two albums as well. Personally I think Sweet Amber and TUF are the best songs on that album. St. Anger and Frantic are pretty good songs too. The rest feel more jam/rant like but that’s kind of what makes it great. It’s loose, it’s raw, in unapologetic (until lots of fan backlash anyways), and kinda groovy, and the songs kick ass live. Pretty relatable for a lot of us who struggle with stuff like mental health, to hear something so raw and “awful” sounding because of such emotions. Addiction, anger, self hatred, etc. it’s pretty rare in the music world to be captured so chaotically and ACCURATELY. Instead of some polished up song that doesn’t capture the raw emotion the same way. Emotions are imperfect, raw, chaotic, and that’s what St. Anger did. To me it’s a great album just muddled by poor production (just like DM and AJFA) and Bandwagon hate. My take on it anyways 🤷🏻♂️
Honestly, i like "St. Anger" from Metallica (the album and the song), while i can understand everyone's criticisms about the album (such as the snare drum and the lack of solos), i personally think it's a really good album. I'm guessing you're gonna pick "Frantic" as the song from St. Anger and honestly, it's a good choice if you do, it's a great album opener and one of the few songs from St. Anger that even the people who dislike the album usually bring up as one of it's bright spots (other possible songs i could see are "St. Anger" or "Some Kind of Monster"). . (Also, here's my predictions for the other songs) "If You're Wondering if I Want You to (I Want You to) by Weezer (off of Ratitude because it's one of the albums in the thumbnail) "Better" by Guns N' Roses ("Chinese Democracy" is also one of the albums in the thumbnail, i probably would've picked "Shacklers Revenge" but "Better" is good too) "This is London" by The Clash ("Cut the Crap" album is in the thumbnail of course) "Insomnia" by Megadeth (off of "Risk", it's one of the songs he liked in his RTP review) "Someday Never Comes" by Creedence Clearwater Revival (off of "Mardi Gras", an album that is widely regarded as a stain on CCR's career) "Waiting for The End" by Linkin Park (off of "A Thousand Suns", it's one of the only songs he liked in his RTP review, wouldn't be suprised if he picks "The Catalyst" though) "Homecoming Queen" by Hinder (off of "Extreme Behavior" once again, song he liked on an RTP album) "Nuclear Family" by Green Day (off of "Uno!", part of Green Day's widely criticized "Uno!, Dos!, Tre!" trilogy, he also asked "what's the best song on the trilogy" in his discord server so it's probably safe to assume a song from one of those albums is making it on the list) "D'you Know What I Mean?" by Oasis (off of "Be Here Now" an album which most people say started the downfall of Oasis) "Take a Look Around" by Limp Bizkit (off of "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" luke said before in his RTP review that's it's the one Limp Bizkit song he could listen to for an hour straight and still be fine with it) "Better Place" by Puddle of Mudd (off of "Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate", it's one of their PoM's more forgettable albums, i could also see "Stoned" or (if we're doing bonus tracks) i could see "Crowfeet" or "Shook up the World") i think it's fair to assume PoM will make the list in some capacity (due to the fact that luke dislikes them), other songs i could possibly see are "Control", "Drift and Die", "Think", or "Heel Over Head". . Well, those are some of my predictions, now to see if they come true or not!
I think "Sorry" is easily the best song on Chinese Democracy. The rest of that thing (except the title track and "Better") is just a horrific mess of sappy, 80s-style ballads and industrial metal tracks that are completely indistinguishable from one another.
I think the Trilogy albums have some winners on them (especially now that some of the songs are getting remixed rereleases). There's more than people think, but yeah, the idea of a triple album release is not the best idea Green Day has had.
I really like your videos. They are well rehearsed and you know what you are saying. You time the mid video commercials so they are in between entries. And most of all, while I don't always agree with your opinions on what is good and bad (and news flash to the world, that's ok, opinions are subjective) I really like how broadly you interpret rock. That you will talk about pop rock and thrash in the same video is so great. So job well done!
• Safehouse - All That Remains from Madness • They Don't Want What We Want - Asking Alexandria from Like A House On Fire • Be Yourself - Audioslave from Out Of Exile • I'll Be There - Bad Wolves from N.A.T.I.O.N. • Candy Truck... - Bring Me The Horizon from Music To Listen To... • Don't Need You - Bullet For My Valentine from Gravity • Who's Laughing Now - From Ashes To New from Day One • The Apprentice - Gorillaz from Humanz • 333 - Hellyeah from Welcome Home • Battle Cry - Imagine Dragons from Their Entire Discography • Cross Off - Mark Morton from Anesthetic • Nocturnal - New Years Day from Unbreakable • I Suffer Well - Papa Roach from Who Do You Trust? • Living In L.A. - Weezer from Black Album • The Reckoning - Within Temptation from Resist • Anti-Social - While She Sleeps from So What? • All My Friends - 21 Savage from I Am > I Was • Jocelyn Flores - XXXTENTACION from 17
To be honest I think Music To Listen To.... Has a few good moments - A Devastating Liberation is a good soundscape, and Tapes (however its spelled on the record) is still one of my goto experimental pop songs... It's just clogged with weird, unfinished pieces all over the "album"
To be fair "Under Pressure" was not meant to be on Queen's Hot Space. It was originally released as a "Charity 12" single" a year before, but due to it's popularity the record company told them to throw it on the album to help sell it because they knew that record was poop.
I am a huge Korn fan. I love them, but I will admit that from 2007 to 2011, they were putting out disappointing music. But from 2013-present, they've been releasing some of their best music in their entire discography. I'm happy they're back!
Just gotta be honest. I honestly enjoyed The Path of Totality. Yeah it is easily far from the best they have put out but I really liked how weird and interesting the fusion was.
About the Green Day trilogy albums, Billie Joe actually said that they were basically the creative process for one normal Green Day album. But instead of cutting any songs, they just finished and released everything. They said they don’t expect any individual fan to like most of the songs but to instead pick and choose which songs they DO like. Sort of a “create an album” for fans.
K.T. Cuffari yeah I just chose not to buy any of them. There was like 3 songs I liked on the three albums. They haven’t done much of note since 21st century breakdown.
I like Joey as a singer of anthrax more but my second favorite anthrax album is sound of white noise..that's really one of the best albums of the 90s.there is a anthrax album where bush does all the best songs of belladonna's.its hella good
Chinese democracy is a solid album from beginning to end...songs like sorry, this I love, or there was a time. Furthermore BucketHead is probably the greatest guitarists around. I own four of his albums and Chinese Democracy
Nah most of the songs are really dull. I did a full end-to-end playthrough of every Metallica release a few months back (while gaming) and Load, Reload and St Anger were a real chore to get through. There were 6-7 tracks across those 3 albums that I didn't feel like skipping, but I powered through!
@@ApothecaryTerry I didn't say every song is good, there is definitely a lot of filler. The live version of St.Anger sounds good to me and the acoustic version of All Within my Hands is done very well, it doesn't even sound like it's from that album. And Load has only 3 or 4 songs I don't like, whatever that's my opinion. If you don't like those albums that's okay.
@@BobbyJr_ Fairy nuff, I find their 90s stuff pretty boring but I can see the appeal- it's the sort of thing where I'm not going to mock someone for listening to it (insert Lil Wayne joke here ☺).
Great list! I can add a couple: Helloween - 'First time' from the dissapoiting Chamaleon album: works for me as an openning track and then all goes down Incubus - 'In the company of wolves' from If not now, when? album: a lonely gem of a very dissapointing ambum Iron Maiden - 'Clansman' from Virtual XI album: a bad album from the poor Bayley's era. However, more than 20 years have passed and now with Dickinson on vocals, the band continues to play this song along with a long list full of hymns and heavy metal classics. Megadeth - 'Princess of darkness' of the Risk album: the name of the album says it all, Mustaine and company take the risk and fail. Anyway, this song take time to start, but it's a very solid tune!
Crazy Nights was one of the first two albums that I bought at age twelve. Loved it at the time. Today, I see it as an album bookended by a great Paul Stanley song and a good Gene Simmons song with a lot of filler in between.
I like that you included don't go away. That's always been one of my favorite oasis songs, and everytime I hear it I'm reminded what a solid band they were
good songs from bad albums? this might hurt some people, but ... as a nine inch nails fan, I really didn't like hesitation marks. that album was not good. period. but there were two songs that I can say were genuinely great: Satellite, and Find My Way. the rest of the album? I guess Copy Of A and Came Back Haunted were alright, but they weren't great. and I couldn't tell you another song off the album: they were pretty forgettable
Whoa, but the way while I'm still here merges into black noise is incredible! That is one of my top 10 NIN moments tbh, captures that apocalyptic feel like in this twilight and the wobbly sub bass sounds crazy with a sub. But then again i don't think NIN has a bad album at all, even the remix albums are great to me. Both satellite and especially find my way are definite bangers on there though
Yeah hesitation marks was really disappointing. It was originally just meant to be two new extra tracks for a best of album. Which explains why it has so much filler.
Just found your channel tonight, and I'm enjoying your videos... just curious what you think of King's X, especially their first four album run. I know you won't ever see this, just throwing it out there.
I'd like to add Heavy Lies the Crown by Machine Head. Catharsis is the definition of modern car accident and it's buried in 66 minutes of extra filler shit!
@@calebschreiber7265 Oh yes, having HLTC as track 11! I was already burnt out by then. When the album came out, I had to listen to it twice just to make sure I wasn't in a bad mood the first time. Nope, it certainly was a slog and that 8 minutes felt like bliss both times I've listened to the album in its entirety. Diamond in the rough is an understatement!
All St. Anger jokes aside, when I saw the album cover in the thumbnail I was sure the song was gonna be Some Kind of Monster. That’s always been a stand out track for me and it’s the one off the album they chose to remake and the edited version is in my top 5 Metallica songs for sure!
When it comes to Anthrax's Vol 8 it has two of my favourite songs. Inside Out and Pieces - the latter I didn't expect from the band. It's heartbreaking
"Someday Never Comes" from CCR's Mardi Gras (And to a lesser extent "What Are you Gonna Do?") "I Can't Stop the Rain" from Peter Criss's solo album "Summer in Paradise" by the Beach Boys from that awful album
"Sound of White Noise" is Anthrax's best and "Madagascar" off of "Chinese Democracy" is good too, IMHO.

Well... depends on what you consider bad. In my opinion, the only truly insufferably bad album on the thumbnail is Cut the Crap (I assume This is England is the song in question). I enjoy St. Anger and Chinese Democracy for what they and like several tracks off Raditude. But if I'm gonna go that way i'll pick Sober Up from The Click (AJR, yes indeed, fun catchy song imo), I Stand Alone from Faceless (Godsmack) and Iced Honey from Lulu (the only saving grace imo).
The prob with Cut The Crap by the Clash is less complicated than stated. It suffered because Mick Jones was no longer in the group. Turns out Mick wrote the music. Strummer was the lyric guy. Pretty much right down the middle like that, although Mick also wrote lyrics for his own songs. But it's safe to say whatever lyrics Joe wrote Mick put music to. And at least fixed up into proper songs whatever music Joe brought to the group. With Mick gone no matter what came after The Clash were done.
Some other songs I would suggest: Green Day - Uno Dos Tre: Kill The DJ and Dirty Rotten Bastards Metallica - St. Anger: The title track Limp Bizkit - Results May Vary: Gimme The Mic and Phenomenon (at least in a dumb fun way) Korn - See You On The Other Side: Twisted Transistor and Coming Undone Puddle Of Mudd - Come Clean: Drift and Die, Control, and Blurry Marilyn Manson - The High End Of Low: Armagoddamnmotherf_ckinggeddon and We’re From America

I liked Shackler's Revenge off of Chinese Democracy.
Chinese Democracy from Guns and Roses.
Also I still can't believe Green Day devoted 3 whole albums - nearly a quarter of their discography - to an unfunny pun about their drummer's name.
That's true dedication 😝
Well that’s just the titles.
Everything Green Day does is bad or plagiarized.

something something Deftones' _Pink Cellphone._
As interesting as that sounds, I'm also worried it might be too similar to the Bad Songs by Good Bands list. Still, I won't argue if that video happens since I'd be curious what other picks would be there.
@@miserirken Haha right? It honestly would of been passable without that weird shit at the end but yeah that definitely is their worst song.
Escape from RIde the Lightning by Metallica
Hats off To (Roy) Harper off of Led Zeppelin III
Those are two that come to mind.
as someone who adores the Blue Album, in the Garage is just kinda average
For Raditude, I stick up for "If You're Wondering If I Want You To (I Want You To)." It's fun, it's bouncy, it doesn't take itself too seriously. Sure, the lyrics are a bit doofy, but I think you can get away with that on such a lighthearted track.
I fucken love that song
I must be the odd man out but I really like Raditude. More than a lot of their newer albums. And love is the answer is one of the worst tracks on the album.
Regardless, I think we can all agree that there are definitely a lot of song/albums all Weezer fans straight up won't listen to.
Thought for sure this would be the choice from the album. Legit a fun and catchy Weezer song. I don't remember a thing from the album outside of it and that terrible can't stop partying song. Love is the answer is completely forgettable.
Let it all hang out is one of my favorites off of it.
Agreed.
"D'you Know What I Mean" and "Stand By Me" are also good in my opinion.
It’s not their best album, but I really like Be Here Now. No way is it a garbage album.
and all around the world. i like be here now a lot
D'ya know what a mean is one of oasis' best tracks. I'd have thought he would have chosen that one. Or stand by me.
Ah, yes. St. Anger.
Or as I'd like to call it, "The Tin Man Album."
Did you ever listen to the rerecording of St. Anger in 2015? Three guys redid the cd with normal drums. I will say that changed everything.
@@jymmid.8278 I heard Frantic with normal drums and it sounded way better than that crap on the album.
@@sirraf23 the entire cd is great with that fix. I was shocked especially since I hated Metallicas version.
It’s getting better man .. it’s awesome
Be Here Now is highly underrated.
Not a fan of "Magic Pie"? 😂😂 kidding! I enjoyed "Don't Go Away" and "Stand by Me".
I'm about that "D'ya Know What I Mean"
Totally agree. Definitely Maybe and (What's the Story) Morning Glory are amazing albums. Noel admitted to cracking under the pressure with this album, everyone expected it to be as good as the first two. I think it has some good songs, Stand By Me is definitely my favorite. Though as a whole it does sound kind of bloated with all of the guitar overdubs and crappy production. Their next album Standing on the Shoulder of Giants is much better than Be Here Now in my opinion.
Super Collider was painfully mediocre, but "Kingmaker" is one of my favorite Megadeth songs
Kingmaker couldve easily been on a different 2000's album
Sir SpookyBones absolutely
I was gonna say the same about Black Swan on Thirteen by them haha
Dance In The Rain is amazing as well
I read a review that metioned Super Collider's title track sounds like a Nissan Commercial 😂
And the only song that ever stuck to me is Kingmaker from Super Collider. Glad Dystopia was a return to sound 🤘🏽
I love Chinese Democracy tho! Buckethead is a beast. There's definitely some stinkers but I don't think it's a bad album.
I agree. It is not a bad album. It was just not the great album many wanted. But certainly not bad by any stretch,
I agree man
Yeah, Bucket is a beast, that dude is built to play guitar, his fingers are longer than my arm!!
If The World is also a good song. It doesn't feel very Guns-n-Roses'y, but it's still a good track
Should have just been an Axl solo record. It doesn't sound anything like Guns.

I can't say much of Metallica, since I always found them rather cringy (and obsolete), but the band Enslaved had a similar drumming style on their 1997 album "Eld" which worked really well for the band and I really enjoyed.
ruclips.net/video/Ukgsre1999w/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/Ceds_1ep4Fg/видео.html
Too bad that the band changed their style two albums later from (viking) black metal to something like psychedelic/stoner rock/progressive black metal. I'm not a fan of pretty much everything the band put out after Blodhemn.
The Unnamed Feeling is such an amazing song.
Honestly one of my favorites from that whole album.
@Dean Ponce it's not misunderstood. I can get behind the lyrics and emotions that went into the album as well as the change in style. What I can't tolerate is the drumming. The drumming alone makes the good songs harsh and tough to get through, and turns the lesser songs into unlistenable disasters.
Yeah, it's amazing.
My World was great. Minus the bridge
It's got some other belters dirty window and invisible kid... My honest opinion is at anger would be a better album if any other band released it good album... Just not a good Metallica album
The Unnamed Feeling is legitimately one of their better songs, not even just for a bad album. Still one I go back to from time to time.
Pieces is incredible. And don't forget Catharsis.
2 Great songs on that album Inside Out and Pieces
I really enjoyed Volume 8, though I can understand fans preferring Joey's albums (Bush-era Anthrax feels more akin to Armored Saint in a way). For me, Catharsis, Stealing from a Thief and the hidden track Pieces are all standout Anthrax tunes from any era!
Anthrax in the 90s was better than the other big 4 crap they were doing, people only shit on them because being the smallest band of the 4, many don't even listen to that era of their music and get caught up on the haters blabbering
Hot Space still has a couple hidden gems. Like “Cool Cat” and “Life is Real”.
shotonshitteo Miracle also has “Invisible Man”, “Scandal” and the criminally underrated groove of “Rain Must Fall”.
‘80s Queen in general is bad. Only a few here and there, you could find a good song. After 1980, Queen just lost it with the ‘80s sound.
Well, an album like The Game is difficult to follow up to.
I like the that album except those two songs.
@@AntonXul the game was a good album.
Let's be honest, we all knew St. Anger would be on here.
Duh, because of the thumbnail
I think Dirty Window is the Best song from St. Anger

I like that idea, like albums that were really really good and had that one song that is a skip everytime
@Brian Henegar Drips and Superman from The Eminem Show for sure
Albums that were almost, ALMOST perfect - but had to have that one damn annoyingly bad song, spoil it all. One of the grand sins to do in music.
AC/DC's The Razor's Edge was overall a decent album but Mistress For Christmas was probably the single worst song the band has ever done.
@@joshalan5125 and this kind of comment is the reason why a video like that would trigger us all
I wouldn’t go as far as to call St Anger underrated, but I found it more interesting than Load/Reload at least. The Unnamed Feeling is a tune.
Its a good album. After standing on the shoulders of giants I don't think i bought any more albums by them. Even if they only had the one more
Can't believe he didn't choose "D'you know what I mean" as the best song, a real rock anthem.
But "All around the world" and others are so uselessly long (trying to create their "Hey Jude"s) that I didn't even finished to listen to the album. You can't try to mash up beat, hard / psych beat, post punk, and Sex Pistols... and do it with a prog length.
Remains a popular album and fans still love the brothers, even if Oasis are no more on the top of Top albums ever lists as they were in '96-2000
Instead everybody snobs their last album, and they are missing some gems, the song "I'm outta time" is their successful try of creating something different and classic at the same time.
I agree. It's a solid album with several awesome songs. There are a few throw away tracks but the great songs more than make up for it.
I would argue that "Get Up!" from The Path of Totality is some of the best work Korn ever did.
I really enjoy that album.
Nickelback wasn't on this list because they have no bad albums.
Well, you're welcome to feel that way, but I think we both know this guy does not.
No...they have no good songs
Lagmire I suggest checking out their song Burn It to the Ground then, that song kicks ass
Nickelback ??
.keep the change
they have maybe one half decent song on every shitty album. all there albums are bad.
I like "Be Here Now" and "Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants" by Oasis, but I can see if people were put off by them.
I came expecting Under pressure and you delivered 💛
Yup. I love Queen, not in the least for their sound. But I can't stand the sound of the Mack years. Surprise, surprise - Under Pressure wasn't produced by Mack.
Was wondering if it was on this list
I have to admit, I like Chinese Democracy. I saw Axl’s Freakshow 3 times on the different Chinese Democracy tours. The title song is a fantastic opener, and the others from the album that are played live are quite excellent.
I did see the Illusion lineup, and it was phenomenal, but the CD lineup had a great sound.
I agree 💯. I like it too
Unpopular Opinion: I actually like The Path of Totality. it's not my fave Korn album but it's in my top 5
I agree, I loved The Path of Totality... It's absolutely unique for it's time.
@@XLRider2 Great taste! Pendulum and Celldweller are two of my favorites when it comes to electronic!
I’ve always said, St Anger isn’t a bad album, it’s just a bad Metallica album. Like if anybody else made it, it wouldn’t be as hated
Anger aren't bad themselves, they just struggle to shine through the terrible production choices.
same with the loads.
Frantic, Some Kind of Monster, and Sweet Amber are all good songs too.
Invisible Kid is probably my least favorite Metallica original.
I’m a huge thrash fan but love John Bush era Anthrax. I still listen to The Sound of White Noise quite frequently.
St. Anger is something of a... Marmite album for me. Some days I can listen to it just fine and enjoy it, some days I sit there thinking "Who in the actual hell thought this sounded good?!"
That being said... yeah, The Unnamed Feeling slaps, definitely the only real highlight of the album
Was pleased to see ‘Don’t go away’ on here. Hi didn’t hate the album but agree Don’t go Away was the best song by a mile.
My problem with Be Here Now was that the songs overstayed their welcome and just kept going too long.
I would say:
In Flames-Paralyzed (Siren Charms)
Nickelback-Savin' Me (All The Right Reasons)
BFMV-Don't Need You (Gravity)
I See Stars-Running With Scissors (Treehouse)
Kiss-I was made for lovin you (Dynasty)
Weezer-Take On Me (Teal album)
BMTH-Sugar Honey Ice Tea
Limp Bizkit-My Way (CSAHDFW)
Theory-RX Medicate (Wake Up Call)
Ska-P-Se Acebo (99%)
I would’ve chosen Far Away over Savin’ Me
Dude Amo is a great record
Actually didn't mind Gravity. I would say Dead To The world from the Temper Temper Album
For dynasty not all songs were hits but there were some good songs on there like sure know something, magic touch and save your love but that's obviously my opinion
Michael Canada lol I was just about to say that. Amo is a fucking gem.
"Catharsis" was another good late-90's Anthrax song, from the same album too.
Oasis - "Stand By Me" was also a great song on Be Here Now. Also I believe that most songs that Liam sings are great and Noel has a fair amount of good songs too.
Would have picked Frantic from St Anger
There's like 3 or 4 good songs on St anger. I kind of feel like the hate is a fad. I listened to it before I heard all the hate and liked it. Not their best but I do listen to the album often
@@AdamDoing2326 I feel like it's the bad mix (the snare drum, but also the overall guitar sound and James' voice). St Anger songs sound much better live. I wish they would re-record it, and maybe rearrange some songs. It would be a solid record!

Primitive Radio Gods: Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand (from the album Rocket)
Wow, that is exactly the first song that came to mind for me, even though I haven't thought about it in years. Such a great song... on such an utterly mediocre, forgettable album.
That band utilized sampling WAAAAAYYYYYY too much. But on that song, it worked.
I still have that CD and I think I played it once in the 25 years since I got it.
Blast from the past. Wow, blew away a few cobwebs
The Who: "Eminence Front" (It's Hard)
You Better You Bet from Face Dances too
Keith Moon's passing was such a heavy hit on The Who's sound
Well, maybe, Anthem and I've known no War are pretty good.

I would say that NPFTD has more great songs: Mother Russia, the title track, Holy Smoke is one of my fav Maiden songs
Holy Smoke is better than Tailgunner, and Mother Russia is great too, but I wouldn’t call No Prayer bad, just disappointing.
Wasn't Cathedral Spires like the #1 most requested song for Judas Priest to perform live at some point? It was years ago, but I distinctively remember there being a massive push for it, but yeah great song... also its the best thing I've heard that's had Ripper on it.
That is honestly one of Priest's best songs, yet it comes from one of the least celebrated periods in the bands catalog.
Man, I never understood all the hate for No Prayer or Fear of the Dark. Sure, it's not Somewhere in Time or Number but there are a lot of great stuff on there. Well, to each his own, I guess.
I would've picked the title track from St Anger, I really like it. The production still sucks though
God no that songs trash
"Sweet Amber" from "St. Anger" is an awesome song too.
"Frantic" is good too.
St Anger has lots of great ideas, actually. It's just that every song is about double its ideal length. Really exhausting to listen to.
@Thugga I love Invisible Kid, id say that the hardest song to listen to is St. Anger itself, the tempo changes are rough...
Frantic is the best song on St. Anger due to how aggressive it is especially Kirk yelling live and lie it
St. Anger is probably the most underrated Metallica album just because it's Metallica. If St. Anger had Kirk's solos and actual snare, then it probably would not have gotten as much hate. Though if Korn wrote St. Anger, it'd be considered one of their best pieces of work.
Mudvayne's "The New Game" was a burning dumpster of an album, but that title track went surprisingly hard.
In fact, in the trilogy documentary, Billie described the albums like this:
Uno: Give me life
Dos: Give me mid life
Tre: Give me......oh God.
He even went as far to call Uno and Tre the poppy ones and Dos as the “fucking weird one”.
They clearly had good concepts and good ideas with the trilogy, it’s just that they didn’t quite know when to stop.
taveon timmons it is hard to be a millionaire punk rocker...when you the listener make $30K you hear them complain & say STFU
Chinese Democracy is a good album, it's just not Guns N' Roses.
A buddy of mine and I do the same thing with Lulu
Some Kind of Monster (the documentary behind making of the St.Anger) is one of the best music documentaries I've ever watched. It definitely gives an insight into a band that was going through a difficult time.
Really? I wonder why I am thinking you didn't watch that many, lol
I think Saint Anger mostly had decent to good songs. Production wasn’t great. But neither was DM or AJFA. And it mostly got hate for just being different. (Ironically from the “die hard” fans you made fun of who in fact, despise anything post AJFA to a toxic level, aside from sometimes DM)
I’ve heard the same snare sound in countless metal bands and nobody says shit, a little bit of good mixing would make the album sound a hell of a lot better.
True
I'm new here. Subbed. Congrats on 50K
Anger" or "Some Kind of Monster").
.
(Also, here's my predictions for the other songs)
"If You're Wondering if I Want You to (I Want You to) by Weezer (off of Ratitude because it's one of the albums in the thumbnail)
"Better" by Guns N' Roses ("Chinese Democracy" is also one of the albums in the thumbnail, i probably would've picked "Shacklers Revenge" but "Better" is good too)
"This is London" by The Clash ("Cut the Crap" album is in the thumbnail of course)
"Insomnia" by Megadeth (off of "Risk", it's one of the songs he liked in his RTP review)
"Someday Never Comes" by Creedence Clearwater Revival (off of "Mardi Gras", an album that is widely regarded as a stain on CCR's career)
"Waiting for The End" by Linkin Park (off of "A Thousand Suns", it's one of the only songs he liked in his RTP review, wouldn't be suprised if he picks "The Catalyst" though)
"Homecoming Queen" by Hinder (off of "Extreme Behavior" once again, song he liked on an RTP album)
"Nuclear Family" by Green Day (off of "Uno!", part of Green Day's widely criticized "Uno!, Dos!, Tre!" trilogy, he also asked "what's the best song on the trilogy" in his discord server so it's probably safe to assume a song from one of those albums is making it on the list)
"D'you Know What I Mean?" by Oasis (off of "Be Here Now" an album which most people say started the downfall of Oasis)
"Take a Look Around" by Limp Bizkit (off of "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" luke said before in his RTP review that's it's the one Limp Bizkit song he could listen to for an hour straight and still be fine with it)
"Better Place" by Puddle of Mudd (off of "Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate", it's one of their PoM's more forgettable albums, i could also see "Stoned" or (if we're doing bonus tracks) i could see "Crowfeet" or "Shook up the World") i think it's fair to assume PoM will make the list in some capacity (due to the fact that luke dislikes them), other songs i could possibly see are "Control", "Drift and Die", "Think", or "Heel Over Head".
.
Well, those are some of my predictions, now to see if they come true or not!
I love St. Anger too. I would pick This I Love from CD
I love the album as well. My World is one of my favorites.
I wish they would redo the album with a better mix/
I think "Sorry" is easily the best song on Chinese Democracy. The rest of that thing (except the title track and "Better") is just a horrific mess of sappy, 80s-style ballads and industrial metal tracks that are completely indistinguishable from one another.
@@OratoryJamesIV Sweet Hitch Hiker is pretty good too but Someday Never Comes is excellent. The rest of that album is shit.
'Don't Go Away' is one of the greatest Oasis songs ever,
I think the Trilogy albums have some winners on them (especially now that some of the songs are getting remixed rereleases).
Just by seeing the disastrous Cut the Crap album, I can already guess This is England will be on this list
Your channel is really cool!

@Christopher Bingham Absolutely it is.
It was originally released as a "Charity 12" single" a year before, but due to it's popularity the record company told them to throw it on the album to help sell it because they knew that record was poop.
great shirt you're wearing!
I remember liking it, its not even the worst korn album all things considered (that honor goes to Korn III)
Honestly Take a look in the Morror and Life is Peachy are their worst albums.
@@Zombieberry27 wait what?
@@soulexchangemusic are serious?
"this song is from your favorite album"
-james hetfield before playing frantic live in 2021.
This I love is another incredible song from Chinese democracy, love the passion in Axls voice.
Man I really love your channel! I don't know why the fuck the subscriber count is so low
Definitely going to download these songs thanks for another great list
I like Joey as a singer of anthrax more but my second favorite anthrax album is sound of white noise..that's really one of the best albums of the 90s.there is a anthrax album where bush does all the best songs of belladonna's.its hella good
He was the best singer the band had in my opinion
Well, that explains why Noel wants to 'remaster' "D'ya Know What I Mean". It just sounds empty without the guitar overdubs and wall of sound.
Chinese democracy is a solid album from beginning to end...songs like sorry, this I love, or there was a time. Furthermore BucketHead is probably the greatest guitarists around. I own four of his albums and Chinese Democracy
Agreed, I never understood the hate for this album.
I'd be super interested to know what you think the best Queen songs are! I personally love '39.
Not gonna lie - I love the Path of Totality. Some mad underrated songs on that one.
I've always liked "Street of Dreams" from Chinese D. Probably my fave track. "Better" and "Madagascar" are quite good as well.
"All Within My Hands" from St. Anger and "Inside Out" from Vol 8 would be my picks from those particular albums featured here.
Same
The Unnamed Feeling and Invisible Kid are amazing songs in my opinion.
The St.Anger songs they play live sounds great. I'm sure if the production on the album was better people would have liked it.
Great list! I can add a couple:
Helloween - 'First time' from the dissapoiting Chamaleon album: works for me as an openning track and then all goes down
Incubus - 'In the company of wolves' from If not now, when? album: a lonely gem of a very dissapointing ambum
Iron Maiden - 'Clansman' from Virtual XI album: a bad album from the poor Bayley's era.
I like ITCOW, and also "Thieves" from that Incubus album, but care for very little else. And I love Incubus.
I actually prefer Anthrax's era with John Bush on lead vocals.
Love the shirt you’re wearing! Got the same one the first time I saw them.
Tre! by far is the best album in that trilogy!
Crazy Nights was one of the first two albums that I bought at age twelve. Loved it at the time. Today, I see it as an album bookended by a great Paul Stanley song and a good Gene Simmons song with a lot of filler in between.
Hot take: Vol.8 is my favorite of the four John Bush albums. Come on, it’s at least more memorable than Stomp 442.
Satellite is a true banger!
Yeah it's kind of a bland record when compared to the rest of his output. It doesn't really have a distinct character.
I Would For You is my favorite on Hesitation Marks. Beautiful chorus. In Two is pretty badass too
Just found your channel tonight, and I'm enjoying your videos... just curious what you think of King's X, especially their first four album run. I know you won't ever see this, just throwing it out there.
I'd like to add Heavy Lies the Crown by Machine Head.
Catharsis is the definition of modern car accident and it's buried in 66 minutes of extra filler shit!
Luke G yeah
I can kinda get behind that and the opener, but yeah. That album was painful to get through.
Spaced out in a playlist I kind of like "St.Anger" and "Frantic", you just don't want too much of that drum at once.
All St. Anger jokes aside, when I saw the album cover in the thumbnail I was sure the song was gonna be Some Kind of Monster. That’s always been a stand out track for me and it’s the one off the album they chose to remake and the edited version is in my top 5 Metallica songs for sure!
I haven’t gotten St. Anger out of my head since I was kid back in 2003 when WWE used it for the theme song Summerslam in 2003.
Anthrax: Sound of White Noise is my favorite Album from them. Very Underrated Album.
(quietly whispers) "Without You" on VH3 is pretty good.
(Runs and hides)
When it comes to Anthrax's Vol 8 it has two of my favourite songs. Inside Out and Pieces - the latter I didn't expect from the band. It's heartbreaking
Cathedral Spires from Jugulator is a criminally underrated Judas Priest song
Its funny cause “Cant Stop Partying” off of Raditute is a guilty pleasure of mine i freaking love it lol
"Someday Never Comes" from CCR's Mardi Gras (And to a lesser extent "What Are you Gonna Do?")
"I Can't Stop the Rain" from Peter Criss's solo album
"Summer in Paradise" by the Beach Boys from that awful album
As a Green Day fan, Uno, Dos and Tre made me have an identity crisis.
Sober up is good only because of Rivers' songwriting and only if you if ignore the lyrics haha
With Mick gone no matter what came after The Clash were done.
if you’re wondering i want you to was the best song on radditude
Good list. Many good picks
I still think Chinese Democracy is a good album. Street of Dreams, This I Love, Better and a few more great tracks
Some other songs I would suggest:
Green Day - Uno Dos Tre: Kill The DJ and Dirty Rotten Bastards
Metallica - St. Anger: The title track
Limp Bizkit - Results May Vary: Gimme The Mic and Phenomenon (at least in a dumb fun way)
Korn - See You On The Other Side: Twisted Transistor and Coming Undone
Puddle Of Mudd - Come Clean: Drift and Die, Control, and Blurry
Marilyn Manson - The High End Of Low: Armagoddamnmotherf_ckinggeddon and We’re From America
