Great video. I learned a lot. So I have a couple of questions...How much is that pressure testing kit? If I run the engine fan constantly, will that contribute to cooling the air in the CAC? Do you sell a CAC for the Series 60?
I have a ISX CM870, sometimes driving ill have tons of boost upto close to 30 with 600 or less degree pyrometer. Then all of a sudden boost drops to 5psi and pyrometer goes to 1200 degrees. What is wrong ?
Is there a diffrenc in charge air coolers are they the same do some cool better so u can get more boost i mean if i spend more than a few hunderd bucks vs a 1,200 one whats the benifits
Turbo heats up the air, as it's compressed. CAC brings the temp back down. It won't exactly change amount of boost. But, cooler, denser air will increase the cubic feet per minute.
So I've replaced my CAC 2x in 2 years.. I pull over 80k gross in mountains, 12.7 DDec lV one size over stock injectors, 171702, 550 tune. I'm boosting over 35lbs daily sometimes 40. Is there a better CAC option other than these OEM units? Thanks!
Density and volumetric flow rate are not the same thing. CAC doesn’t add volume. It controles density thus allowing more air (specifically relevant to us, oxygen) into the same amount of space. More O2 means better fuel efficiency rate. TLDR; CAC/ICs do not increase volume.
THE BALLS ANALOGY! 🤣 Basically, an intercooler gives you more balls. Got it.
Thats even better, I wish I thought of that lol
Finally another video!

Do you have a rule of thumb like how many degrees the engine inlet temperature should be above ambient temperature with a proper charge air cooler
Is it required to clean the inside of a CAC? tks

Check out AKG of America located in Mebane, NC but AKG as a company is a global company 👍
@@OmarHernandez-s9w Thank you! I go to Mebane on a regular basis, I had no idea I could get one there. Thanks again!
why my cooler had so much water come out?? any one know???
How much leak down is acceptable?
It depends on the manufacture, but here is a break down:

😒Just for a Caterpillar?🙄
