Ford should comeback they have amazing cars. Maybe collaborate with some local manufacturer. There were talks going on with TATA Motors. There is no latest news about that. Although Gujrat plant has already been purchased by Tata Motors. And Chennai plant remains with them. Hopefully they soon enter Indian market again with right Strategy. There has been news that they have Cracked the idea to build a affordable EV. But still market still prefers ICE engines and battery technology is yet to develop. With local manufacturer they can share engines and platform. 🤘🏻💯🚗
Ford may gradually introduce a range of EV vehicles along with the much awaited Everest which has a great fan following in India. It's unlikely that the company will introduce a slew of ICE vehicles in India. The export potential of EV's is great and the domestic demand is purring up with the Govt.supporting the EV ecosystem with tax breaks etc.
What Hyundai did differently? Along with Susu ki and Kia they make the worst cars on the planet. But they sell using 'features' and cheap electronic gimmicks. It usually works because 90% of Indian car buyers have graduated from bull mobiles and therefore have zero knowledge of the engineering that goes into a modern automobile. Ford has a legacy of producing terrific cars. What legacy does Hyundai Kia have? 'Features'. What is Maruti's legacy? 'Mileage'. Only those who appreciate top class automobile engineering purchase European brands like Ford, VW, Fiat etc. Aam janta of India can only appreciate bullock carts because it gives mileage and resale value. Thankfully that's changing which is why Tata and Mahindra vehicles have started selling well recently.
