  • This is a motivational video that I made from a lot of footage of inspiring races in history. I got the idea from a similar video:

Why do we run? As the great Bill Bowerman once said, "the real purpose of running isn't to win a race. It's to test the limits of the human heart"

Being a cross country and a distance runner in track and field the question of why do i run so much? isnt it boring ? and the most common question of all : Dont you get tired? I tell them eya of course iget tired iget tired after the first lap of the mile but i have the will and determination to continue to run and pass people. the feeling when you cross the finish line and pr is like no other ! it is an amazing accomplishment everyone should expierence! I like running long distance beacuse it is somehting not everyone can do everyone gives up when they get tired. running is something evryone do it is free and can give you so much benefits!

Im 53 now I developed a hereditary COPD and can't run. It was something I loved and Steve Prefontaine was my hero I just didn't realize it till after he died. I was told I had his form when I ran. I ran a 12:2 2 mile X country at age 12. And I got better. By the time I was 24 the COPD was destroying me but I still ran till I was in my mid 30s. I did a 32:40 10k when I was 23 and that was my best I loved to run snd I wondered why sometimes why I loved it and why I was so good. It was because God gifted it yo me knowing I would be afflicted later. But not curse him.keep on keeping on. The breath of life.

18:53. Knocked 14 seconds off my PR, but I have a week to train and prove myself at Regionals. I knew I didn't have the splits for the PR I wanted, but I sure as hell didn't let the guy next to me pass me in the last 800 meters. It hurt, but it was worth it.

Wrong bible verse towards the end . It’s not Roman’s 3:5 but romans 5:3
“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
