  • Today we look at the Snap On Dual 80 and what it means, as well as the php hose pinch pliers. As a bonus the tubing bender is showcased for your enjoyment. Thank you all!!!
    My name is Jermey I am a snap on dealer in central Wisconsin, I love to do these videos to give you a little sneak peak into the snap on life. I appreciate all of your support. I have been a franchisee since 2011. My helper “Tracker” comes to work with me every day. You can see him in the videos from time to time sleeping or what ever working dogs do… he is a blast to have along and the customers love that he greets them every week. Along with Tracker I have an assistant named Jamie that also works Mon-Fri with me. Some times she is on the truck other times she runs our sprinter truck. I hope you like our videos and if you do please subscribe and don’t ever be afraid to comment. Thank you once again!!!
    Email contact: haasltools@gmail.com
    I don’t sell any thing from you tube, I am only here to provide a better look at the behind the scene. I do not get paid from snap on for these videos. I do this just because I love to share the experiences I have as a dealer.
    Thank you again!!!

    Nice technological advancement on those ratchets. My 3/8 Drive purchased in 1962 still works great. Can't get on the truck anymore, like going into a candy store. Being retired, don't need all those goodies now.
    Hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas!

    Bought my first snap on ratchet today. The 3.8th chrome dual f80. Very nice! I can tell the quality right from first got in my hands. So smooth! Saw snap on truck pull in shop down street from where i live so thought go check it out. Cool guy! He's there every Wednesday about just before i go to work on my night shift. Looks like im going to be adding more snap on tools to my collection. I have Milwaukee, Carlyle, duralast, husky, capri, icon, craftsman, and more. Nice to have made in USA! I do make good money at my job. I would like to add a few more snap on comfort grip and flex ratchets. Maybe screwdriver set. Very nice stuff!

    You’re right on point once again with a great Snap-on video. Fantastic premium quality ratchets, I have many. Love them all. Really like the showcase on the hose pinch-off pliers. I will definitely be asking my rep about these. Nice gear! Keep on doing what you’re doing, and do it with love! Excellent work, Jermey.

    Love the dual 80, learned first hand how dual 80 worked, I cleaned out the factory grease and put some Mercury Marine 2-4-C in my ratchet. Afterwards I put some in my Mac fine tooth and Matco fine tooth ratchets, since then I sold the Mac ratchet and use the reliable snap-on dual 80! Still have the matco ratchet for a spare.

    Good information on dual 80 rachets. The style of hose clamp plier are light years ahead of the vise grip style and do no damage the hose, well worth the money. Wish you were my snap on dealer in st. Louis mo area.

    I have that exact tubing Bender. Came in handy on FORD recently... Ever since I bought them 3-4 weeks back I've seen them sitting in the background of videos on your truck thinking hey got a pair of those.
    Had a great Snap On tool haul this past week !!!
    * Digital pressure tester,
    * Glue gun on special
    * New 3/8 Dual 80 Speeder Bar Ratchet
    * Low Profile Ratchet/Metric socket combo with the free SAE low profile set
    * Custom BOGO package with 3/8 drive semi deep METRIC & SAE socket set since I already had the current BOGO but that was a deep 3/8 Metric Impact with a shallow 3/8 metric impact from a few months back.
    * 3/8 torque adapter for use with flare wrenches and torque wrenches,
    * Mastercool hydraulic flaring tool kit from a few weeks ago came in,
    * Blue Point Terminal Tool Kit
    * The 6 in flush cutting pliers
    * Rechargeable headlamp light
    * 21 x 7 Magnetic Parts Tray Green
    Jeremy is to thank on some of that stuff because had it not been for him I wouldn't have known.
    Thinking about calling snap on and seeing if they'll mail me a flyer monthly.

    I’ve been very impressed with the snap on ratchets I have. The fact you can get a 3/8’s ratchet with an 18 inch handle and the ratchet can take a lot of torque. I’ve broken the anvil off of it once and it was only because I was bouncing the ratchet to try and break a bolt loose. It’s the same head as the rest of their ratchets which lets you know the shorter ratchets are extremely overbuilt.

    Had bought the heater hose pliers and had to use them on pex tubing due to a valve breaking. Yes it did require cutting the hose back on the good side but saved having a flood in a hotel at the time. Might not use them every day but worth having just in case. Tubing benders work great for plumbing supply lines.

    I bought a fine tooth ratchet from Jeremy (Yes the guy in the video) a few years ago, since then I have replaced all my ratchets with them. they articulate easier and are a hell of a lot stronger. I wouldn't recommend it but I've had a 4 ft cheater on my 3/8 snappy ratchet and still haven't broke it. In 3 years I think I've had Jeremy rebuild it once after dropping it in the river changing plugs on my boat . It still worked fine but I wanted the water out before it rusted up.

      On the new dual 80 design the switch lever doesn't have the pin connecting it to the pawl like the older type and when you remove the switch lever it pulls through the inside of the ratchet instead if out the back like the older ones.

    What's better for the Snap-on ratchets as far as lubrication Grease or oil

    • @GNX157
      @GNX157 5 лет назад

      Dylan Condo, not grease. Too thick and will get I the way of the teeth. Try a light machine oil or the synthetic lube they supply with a rebuild kit.

    LOL at Snap-on referring to a gear & pawl mechanism as "technology". It is technology I suppose, albeit 2,500-year-old technology. Also, there's nothing new about using dual pawls (one for each direction) with multiple teeth on each pawl in a ratchet wrench. Round-head ratchet wrenches (e.g., S-K, Blackhawk, etc.) have done that for what, 80 years?
