    A game changer for me was to take my notes the day after. It really makes you reflect more.
    As a side note, if you forget something the next day, it’s also a great time to reach out to your coach and ask.

    Great advice. It's something I've told my students for years, and using a notebook has been a common practice for me.

    Toward the phone thing, I use to sign the hot takes right after training, then the day after once it all is cooled down, and then I wrap it all and write it down well organized to reflect it on later on, but the phone is the immediate instrument to use on the fly. Also I write down what coaches, colleagues and adversaries says about me, my style and so on, and reflect on how much I'm aware of that, how much is new or I recnognize as mine or not

    I feel like once I got a fencing journal after nationals, I was able to improve a lot because I was having deliberate practices
