Hey Wayne! Great journey. I think you found the best retirement plan. Live in Chiangmai but you must escape during burning season. Imagine if you just stayed through burning season in CM. Keep walking about, Wayne! Cheers!
Thank you mate! I think having a base is the best and then go on trips. I've stayed through many burning seasons before man , but it is nice to get out for a while. Thanks.
I'm like you Wayne,Dont really want a base as such, but where do I have one.Chiang Mai would have to be it.Fly anywhere from there.Or Hua Hin,Udon ,Nong khai,Nha trang,Dalat, but Im defiantly going to try your new favorite Kanchan
My condo here in Udon is roughly 7,000baht/mo… use to live in KhonKaen and was about the same. KhonKaen is great provincial city, not international so have to have a purpose of being there.
Im leaving Chiang Mai after 1 year already. Im going to try Rayong next (i saw u where there, u should try stay longer) , if u are around that area and wanna hang gimme a shout. Thanks for the video m8
I enjoyed udon but prefer CM and I'll be there end of may. Im curious if you're in CM then if you're interested in giving me a hand with obtaining a motor bike license. I'll pay you for your time, of course. I am also working on my retirement visa. The bank account is already in place. I'll do a 30 day extension and maybe a side trip /visa run to Vietnam. Let me know, cheers keep up the good work.
Thank you Sean. I'm not sure where I'll be in May mate. It's really simple to get the license though. I have some videos on it also. I'll hope to see you around CM though buddy.
With all due respect mate, these messages get boring. No offence buddy, I love everyone on the channel. I don't have many rules but, Farang language police is one of them. Sometimes I say English, sometimes I'll say Gai. Depends. Cheers
@@stevejohnson2130 I think I'm one of the most respecful and polite vloggers around, it's in my nature. Could we all do more in Thailand....Probably. But I'm happy how I conduct myself. As I said, No Farangs policing Farangs, on the channel man. I value you on the Channel Steve . Happy Songkran.
The train to NONG KHAI cost just 11,- Baht. View over the mekong and river promenade are very very very nice !!!
Cheap as chips 👍. Although I'd rather ride the bike I reckon 👍
...it is 50 km , nice journey
@@_Alfa.Bravo_ Is the roadwork at the "new" highway between Udon and Nong Khai finished now?
Wayne is in the country with the best food ever and he is drooling over kebabs :D
Damn straight !! Even Caviar gets boring after the 10 millionth time.
Bobby D - great videos of Udon Thani - plenty of highlights - well worth a visit ✔️😃😎👍🙏
Cheers Ant. Yes, Udon is worth the visit.

Maybe one day mate 👍
Nice video mate, cool market and cheap tasty food and Laos is just up the road too . Interesting location central to explore the region.
Cheers mate 👍. Laos certainly is just up the road 👍
08:51 A right Bobby Dazzler , quite a few stunners in that market. Maybe you need a to find a quieter town with the madness of Songkran approaching😱 😊
Some Bobby Dazzlers in the market mate. The Songkran madness has arrived.

I've done loads of vlogs in Pai, Dan mate 👍. Thanks buddy.
@@WalkAboutWayne Cool, I'll check them out.
Nice final walk about mate. Another town that has some character but not the wow factor. Certainly hard to match Kanchanaburi. Cheers Wayne 🤩
Cheers mate. Yes, Udon is a bit flat, but I like that about it. It's a great place to get away from it all. 👍

Nice one mate, Chiang Mai is great for easy flights, yes.
Im staying in Udon now for a while training Muay Thai. its great just staying near the center
I really liked the layout in the center of Udon, easy to walk around.
@@WalkAboutWayne by the way the first time I got here that maniquin also scared the shit out of me 😂

Nice, not a bad deal buddy. Udon seems super cheap to live. I'm hoping to get to Khon Kaen soon.
Nong khai would be great!
Maybe one day soon, mate 👍
mate do you carry small change around to get your kebab or is it wise card or google wallet etc? great vid
😃 Cash mate
The wrecked bikes parked on the street are to stop other people parking there. Seen it done with old bicycles too.
I'm not sure about that. You can park right next to it 🤣.
The 29 baht kebab was incredible value. I was paying 50 baht half way through Soi 8 in 2010! But she used to give me extra😉👍
Yes, that Kebab was bigger than I expected. Great deal for 29 Baht 👌
@@WalkAboutWayne One of the best value meals I've ever seen in Thailand.
I think you gonna live in khantanaburi 😊
Nice. Could do one day.
I hope you go to Luang Prabang, safe travels🙏
I would like to at some point mate. Lot's of things coming up .
No Khon Kaen? 😮 😢
Never know mate 👍
What about Roi Et, great little town.
I'd like to go Roi Et one day 👍
Great vlog Wayne , which do you prefer Kanchanaburi or Udon Thani , enjoy live the dream.
Kanchanaburi. Thanks Brian.
It’s not a nice looking city Wayne but it’s chilled very very

Rayong is a nice place, maybe I'll be down that way again some time. Hope it all goes well for you there 👍
Condos should be no more than 4000 baht in that place, 13,000 baht 😂😂😂That's Phuket prices !!!!!
Hotel price . They don't do monthly. They earn more money from being a hotel. You can get 4000 down the road though 👍

Japanese 👍 already fluent in Thai.
What wea it that you said this is what you want, never tried them before ever. At 9.10
I can't remember what I said 5 minutes ago mate 🤣. I was probably waffling on about something in the video.
With all due respect mate I find it quite strange that you do not speak even basic Thai, when you ordered the chicken why not use the Thai word 'gai'?
