    To avoid the blind baking step, use a pizza stone or cookie sheet on the lower 1/3 oven rack. After the oven is pre-heated insert the frozen pie crust. Wait a few minutes then pour in the filling. That plus the warm filling - no soggy bottom.

    I've never seen a recipe like this that heats up the cream and cooks low & slow. Going to give it a shot, thank you!

      The idea is for it to have a almost creme brûlée consistency so I used similar method, happy thanksgiving!
