    how did you get tha variance of rows and column

    • @notdesmondesmond
      @notdesmondesmond 4 года назад +2

      You find the average of the means, then you find the squared difference of the means (between the mean of single row/column and the total row/column), you add em all up and divide by n-1 (this is used for sample variance).

    • @notdesmondesmond
      @notdesmondesmond 4 года назад +10

      (14.333 + 21.333 + 11.666 + 12.666)/4 = Mean of Total
      [(14.333 - MoT)^2 + (21.333 - MoT)^2 + (11.666 - MoT)^2 + (12.666 - MoT)^2] / n-1
      = 19.03

    do you take the individual F values and compare them one by one to F crit? or do you somehow combine them as in the one way anova?

    • @alexandraxanthopoulou6853
      @alexandraxanthopoulou6853 4 года назад

      You take the different F values and compare them to different F crit that you will find with the different degrees of freedom

      The row is seen as the treatmeant
      And column is seen as the block
      Any notation can be used...
      But you just have to know your column and your row

    • @cureshot

      find the average for each row
      substract each value from the row average
      sum all the substracts
      divide by (n-1)
      here u go... 19.038

    Quite confusing with the formulas you're using and you didn't show each and every method on how you get that.

  • @yaweli2968

    I really like how you started, especially how you grouped the factors and their levels with a realistic example. However, you jumped too many steps. Remember there are different ways to achieve the same results, some don’t even find no variance until they need the F ratios. Maybe this is a continuation of a previous video with all details. In that case, I apologize for my criticism.
