I agree: one of the best reviews. Very refreshing to not hear about the quality of the book and the artwork for 3/4 of a review. The way the game plays if much more interesting.
I am more of an Old School Renaissance guy when it comes to fantasy games these days. I played a lot of 3rd, and 3.5 and then I never played 4th Edition. I'm curious about 5th even though there are elements that I would house rule away if I ever ran it. I think that I'm going to try to run a 5th Edition game just using the Basic PDF and the Starter Set.

What would you choose to houserule? Personally I would not use short rests.
in the playtesting, short rests were about 10 minutes.
now, short rests are more like an hour, so I'm more ok with them.
