I like it. No shifting siper quite and amazing power. Look like you get the power to the ground better and looks like a pretty good range.
I love it!
I rode one on our local single track which consists of a long steep uphill..sucked the battery very very fast..😢
What was the HP and regen set at?
how long was the hill? 5 miles? Lol
That sounds like a defective battery if a little hill was draining a battery as quick and you're making it seem
You are lying
i hope in the Enduro version they put a clutch so you can drive technical trails
Man I’ve watched all your stark content (plus practically every other stark RUclips video), I’ve had a stark on order since December last year, and totally believe the hype, but I don’t think there’s any way it would make a gncc. That’s just not the application.
and you don't have 80HP,the( continuous power ) NOT PEAK power, '' you can't feel that; 0hp to up 80hp'maybe 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😃🙃🙂😉and return to the value of continuous power; around 8000watts= 10.72hp max it's the Real Power. On the spec of the motor. At full throttle the charge applicate is 100amps/hrs and you have a battery for ex; 8000watts in a very perfect condition and it's only when the motor shaft is free with nothing exept his weight. hey !! check maths Ohms law its easy to learn. HAVE FUN!!!!
@paulbernier3484 what is the point if that rant, pro riders are saying it's the most powerful bike they havd ever rode
I love your channel man! I would love to see how many miles you get on trails per charge. Trying to understand this as I would be trail riding only and like the quiet chill factor of the stark.
I´m so sharing the fun! Great vid man! And a great bike, in it´s own league, and I´ve tested thirteen different electric bikes.
Where did you get those LSU Tiger riding gloves? LOL - I love the purple and gold. Geaux Tigers!
Haha! I bought 50 pair of these in bulk years ago for $1 a pair. They were part of this women's set images.app.goo.gl/HoVjGiMhyXdTk99h8
For the single track riding I've done so far, 40hp and 100% regen seems okay. Still more usable power than my 300 2 stroke
They look like a lot of fun, but still not a suitable option if you're leaving for a weekend with the bois and you have no plugs to charge from... a genny running for hours in a campground is not a nice way to make new friends...
Eh, disagree. Anyone whos even boondocking has an inverter generator. The noise level of that is the same as a conversation. Everyone at the MX track has them and anyone to wants to run a generator at a campground has them, most campgrounds themselves have hookups. Maybe if youre tent camping this bike isn't for you, but it is a motocross bike after all.
I wonder how the battery last with long term use. How long will it last when it has 100 hours, 200 hours on it? Will it still go that many miles or will the battery deteriorate?
If you compare it to ktm tpi 300, what is the range of Stark? About half of tank of ktm tpi 300?
Thanks for the good video! How would you say power compares to a KTM 300 when you have it around 40hp?
Performance and prowess is impressive but.. absolutely hate the noise. Reminds me of my vaccuum cleaner..
Good info! Thanks!
Great video, will your dealership be getting in stock in the near future?
That thing is rad. Thats the perfect kind of riding I'd do with one
PS. I'm a dirt bike racing fan, super fan if you will, but the electric bikes may be my entry into dirt bikes for ease of use and maintenance.
Have you had the chance to try it in sandy, desert singletrack? One rider is claiming he can only get 20 miles in those conditions.
I have not yet.
Do you think that (For trail and enduro purposes) the bike could benefit from having a clutch as a secondary control point? I love the varg and think I could manage the way it is, but the way I ride it seems like it would be hard to maintain stready control of your grip while riding fast in the woods because there's too many variables that can cause you to bump the throttle. ON my gas bike the clutch always saves me in those cases, without having to use brakes. Ive seen it work on the electric motion bikes. I sadly don't own any electric bikes yet so I don't have a lot of weight in my opinions, but from the few times I have been on them I think I would really like to have that second control point even if its only used occasionally compared to gas bikes.
Nope if anything I think the clutch would hinder you. Our Arctic Leopard EXE880s have clutches cool idea but its just not needed. Using a softer throttle mode is far better than working the clutch.
@@pharettface interesting. I haven’t been able to experience any electric bikes yet sadly, so I might be overthinking it. I’m scared I’ll get my balance off and send the bike into the next county without some second control point to mesh and stop the power on technical stuff.
There’s definitely a reason the electric motion bikes have it, but I can imagine without mistakes it’s probably not as bad as I’m thinking.
Good question, I wondered about that also. I would have to ride one a while before I could make that decision.
70 yr old woods rider with 25 years MX background. I have 10 acres of mountain trails around my house that no longer allow me ride (noise). Going Varg soon, has there been any discussion regarding a dead man switch detached during a crash? Similar to quads and snowmobiles? Seeing your crash and runaway made me think of how many stuck throttles I’ve had in 55 years of racing.
I own an EM (and a KTM) and love the fact that I can ride without a clutch, but there are certain situations where the clutch is absolutely warranted (bouncy climbs where breaking the rear tire loose would kill your climb, pivot turns, tricky slow-speed rock gardens, modulating throttle on large step-ups, etc). Places where the resolution of your throttle-hand simply isn't refined enough to control the bike. Put a clutch on this and I'll put one in my garage. Tomorrow.
What is the life cycle of the battery and how much to replace it?
That's funny 🤣!! Sad part is I ordered one of them! Tried one out on my track and it's just to heavy and the battery honestly didn't make it 3 laps. 5 miles a lap. And I crashed pretty hard on our big table top. Couldn't work Monday. And I am still hurting. It's not what you think they are
And last time at band camp…..
Well, you either got a dude on your lying. I did 30-40 miles of singletrack on it the other day
@@mxgryan nice work always loving your content from other side of da world - Australia
Realistic real world experience from weekend warrior
haha your lies are so stupid they are funny.
@@mxgryanyou did that riding really slow, a faster trail will drain this fast... Ebikes are a fun short ride untill you need to replace the battery.
@12:45 that thing flew! haha
Thats quite dangerous really aint it when you pick it up and accidental flick the throttle and it takes off...Stark should look into the bike going into neutral when you come off it...
At that leisure pace, I could maybe believe the run time but no way a GNCC are race pace.
I've spoke with Minnesota's largest dealer and he has many hours and demo days on his and he claims maybe 1.5hrs at 40hp for a harescramble.
My question is (and this would solve the run time issue) is, can battery be swapped out or is it not possible (just like gas pitting)??????
Well, the title does say singletrack riding, GNCC is basically motocross speeds.
No swaps on this generation though. It's a motocross bike, and for motocross it's perfect. Improvements will make it great for offroad too, eventually.
You need to ride to the end of the battery because it starts cutting the power when you get to 25-30% according to Jake Nichols..... I watched his video on a outdoor national style track and on 40 HP he made 6 laps and he got where he could not clear the jumps and he was 8 seconds a lap faster.... I think you need to do more apples to apples comparison riding the same course and something you ride for the entire useable life of battery.... Good video though.... rideability looks great, I like the lightness which is partly because no rotating mass...
I have many times on the moto track. I see a slight reduction at 20% and a limp mode at 10%. Thanks for kind words
@@mxgryan how long did it go? He went 19 minutes
@@502outdoors you mean total?
@@mxgryan He went from 85% to 20%
Hey Old Mate, pop your front wheel before log and then bunny hop over it. Better than dragging your bike over it.
Omg I never thought of that!
Try it with smaller ones first, you don't look confident.@@mxgryan
@@anthonycavalliotis8736 you're a genius!
Maybe put branches or rocks in front of the bigger one's make a kind of jump out of them!@@mxgryan
Bike needs to make some sound so Rider knows its on
need Bar mounted Kill switch to turn off
Amazing bike -thanks! Love my Ultra but know this surpasses even yamaha 450's on the dyno...
Nice but why not rear hand brake?
Because i have 27 bikes I ride, and I want seamless transitions.
@@mxgryan ok fair enough. I only have two "normal" motor bikes and one electric trial bike. Left hand rear brake on the electric. Right hand rear break on my mtb. Foot breke on the ICE bikes. Still getting it right when hitting the balance point when doing wheelies. Try it. I think you will like it.
@@robertandersson2523 I've spent time riding the Surron Ultra Bee with hand brake, I absolutely love it. Just a. It sketchy jumping back and forth between that and my gas bikes.
Battery needs to last twice as long as it does.
No it doesn't, it's a motocross bike.
I say it does.@@mxgryan

"I have no connection to Stark.....except working at a dealer that sells them"? Well....other than working AT Stark, how much more of a connection could you possibly have? You make money thru the sale of Stark bikes, just be Honest, people will still watch.
LOL! You people, reaching SO hard. Our dealership sells KTM, GasGas, Husqvarna, Suzuki, Yamaha, Beta, Sherco and Can Am, all of which they have units on the FLOOR, and Stark they do NOT. I don't even work at the dealership much less in sales. I don't care what you buy. These videos are my opinions.
@@mxgryan You make yourself look like a fool and a conman with those weak denials. FACT...you have a direct connection to the brand. You are more connected than 99.9% of earths population. Doesn't mean you cannot have an opinion but when you try to claim "no" connection, NO ONE buys it. The more you deny it the more you slide down the scale from fool towards conman.
