- Simple mods for the Stark Varg to make it more rider friendly and familiar.
by relocating the phone reader and removing the phone mount you are able run any type bars. we also tried to mimic the normal looking cockpit with a dummy clutch leaver to help bring the feel back on the Starks with a foot brake, clean simple mods you can do in your garage.
Fake clutch lever cracks me up. 🤣🤣
I switch between my stark w/LHRB and ec300. Never do I confuse the LHRB with the clutch. I guess I just know which bike I’m riding. I also like the phone on the bars, although I’d prefer just a smaller display with a normal bar mount.
We don’t get confused either and completely agree with you.
We swap between a lot of different bikes and disciplines. The clutch lever for us gives a point of balance when holding weight over the front of the bike. Through years of racing you tend to adapt a certain way of riding and implement techniques to gain comfort on the bike, For us we get that feeling with the second stock Stark we have that has the rear hand brake on the bars (where a clutch would be) but found with the foot brake Stark we were missing that ‘comfort’ technique we get across the rest of our bikes.
We also love the phone and will definitely be keeping it on our second bike. Unfortunately the stock phone mount did not allow us to test different bar clamps and damping options. It’s all about having some fun and seeing what works and what doesn’t.
Glad to hear you are also loving your new bike! What an incredible motorcycle.
@@Ridedesignco I guess I understand the comfort part. Pointer finger not used to holding the grip haha. Yes, incredible bike. My Gasgas has been parked in the family room for the past two months lol.
@@Marleysdad808 Spot on, It is definitely strange but I guess that’s all apart of trying / learning new things.
I have a feeling a few gas bikes will be seeing the same treatment hahaha.
Ride safe mate 👍🏻
you van have hand and foot break on it which is one of the best mods imo
Having both options together would be very interesting, Would love to try it.
The phone's bluetooth range is actually quite good. I keep my phone in the house and the bike is 20 feet away in the garage and it still lights up and works with the bike at that distance.
Awesome to know! We will give it a go.
Did you guys manage to separate the plastic kit on it? I feel like I’m going mangle the little tabs on it if I try to pull them out and I’m thinking there’s gotta be an easier no brainer way to pull them apart.
Hi Chris, Give me a message on instagram - joshfxrrell 👍🏻
If you're looking for more plus feelings at your bar you may one to look in to a 720SBC Soft Bar Clamps, Nice quality video
@@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv Thank you very much, We will look into these. Appreciate the feedback! Rdco.
Awesome video guys 💪🏽
Hi can you tell me what mods you have done suspension wise back and front.great video
Hi James,
Give me a message on instagram and I’ll run you through it - joshfxrrell
Interesting vid. Thanks for sharing. Would you mind telling me what you've done to the seat? I am looking around for options for mine.
Thanks for the feedback, We have put a small seat hump towards the rear of the original seat foam and then added a SKDA seat cover with the smaller style ribs and it works really well.
@Ridedesignco Better late than never. Thank you so much. I'll look into it and potentially just simply copy yours. 😎👍
LHRB is the way to go!!!
What bend did you go with mate and how tall are you?
Sick video guys I'm glad I found this channel 👊
Hi Mate, For this we tested the McGrath bend. Slightly shorted then the stock bars but not enough to really notice.
I am 178cm / 5.10 inches.
lol
It would be really awesome if it had a mechanical clutch, makes it so much easier to pop the power and to feather it a little to decrease power.
Really miss a clutch on these types of bikes. Hope they come back in newer models.
It definitely would be interesting to ride one with a mechanical clutch. Especially in an Enduro setting
@@Ridedesignco More technical enduro requires trial like riding behaviour, not possible without a clutch.
Have been riding on an electric trials bike (Electric Motion Epure Race), absolute brilliant electric bike with a mechanical clutch. It was so easy to ride.
I can design a adapter bracket for the stock phone dock unit to clamp onto any bars yall want and send you the file so you can send it to pcbway or xometry to get 3d printed if yall like
Thank you very much for the offer.
We would be looking to create a mounting bracket that allows us to better fix the phone reader to the inside of the front plate (cleaner then using cable ties haha)
The phone only becomes an issue when wanting to test different bar mounts like apex vibration mounts and cross member flex technology style bars. Normal fat bars are fine.
@@Ridedesignco cool👍 if y’all need any engineering help, I got u
@@Ridedesignco I want one asap :) Take my money!
I thought they actually did a clutch…💩
Unfortunately not yet.. But with the hand brake on there it starts to feel little more like a ‘normal’ Mx bike.
Kannste mal eine stark verlosen ist nen Traum ?
