    "If real music/real vocalists sold today, she would be at the top of the charts and one of the 'greats' today" *I couldn't have said it better!*

      @@jewelt25 i’d rather have someone that writes & produces with an okay voice than a vocalist who isn’t involved in the craft they sold, not everything is about the vocals even if it’s important too

    Goosebumps. Smh I remember hearing this live. Supreme goosebumps. 2:19 is her signature adlib. Love it. She knows exactly where to place it.

  • @Aliasss
    @Aliasss 6 лет назад +8

    She was having trouble hearing herself, that’s why she kept touching her ear piece in the beginning.
    Tamar’s latest album & record from her most recent album was on top of the Billboard R&B charts, so we’ll take that 🙌🏾❤️

    Tamar Braxton is technique is more of a violin because I use violin rifts as well so I understand the transition she used

      And her belts in the D5 to G5 area sound like a horn to me.

    My favorite rendition of this song. Please react Tamar Braxton "Little Drummer Boy"

  • @dafuture93
    @dafuture93 6 лет назад +59

    Yea her technique isn’t the best. She doesn’t consistently support her lower register and her voice doesn’t start to “shine” until she’s in her upper chest and head voice. But it’s no doubt that woman can SAAANNGG.

    • @GarageStudio7
      @GarageStudio7 6 лет назад +9

      MikeJMCarey93 True, sometimes it's not all about technique especially if the singer has Incredible vocal ability and a good enough technique...

    • @diogoalexandree
      @diogoalexandree 6 лет назад

      GarageStudio Technique should be good though, not just good enough that it will eventually tear your voice apart nonetheless.

    Wasn't this around the era where she had nodules? I think so!

    • @THEE.apples
      @THEE.apples 6 лет назад +3

      No. This was after. And it was blood vessels not nodules.

    • @FeliciaElsa
      @FeliciaElsa 6 лет назад +1

      Oh I was sure she still had those issues during those Christmas performances. Her face used to be a bit puffy and some comments said it was due to the medicines she was taking. I remember thinking that she still sounded incredible for someone with voice issues. You couldn't tell. But if she was fine then my bad!

    • @Aliasss
      @Aliasss 6 лет назад +5

      The era of the nodules was in 2013 after she had given birth to Logan, so this was RIGHT after. I don’t think she’s gotten them removed either.
      Then 2015 was bloodclots in her lungs, in which caused her to have her ribs removed. Crazy how she still sounds amazing!

    • @THEE.apples
      @THEE.apples 6 лет назад +3

      She most definitely did not study Beyonce. Because one Tamar has always sung this way and her main influence is Mariah and Toni. Plus she went solo wayyyyy before Beyonce. If anything Bey took some notes from her. Cause Bey during Destiny Child and her early in her solo career sounds very much like Tamar when she was in the Braxtons.
