- How to get your boat off the dock when a breeze is pushing you onto the dock. Technique used for any twin engine boat.
Boat: Lagoon Catamaran

Good video. Just what I needed to find. I'm also working a large cat. I like the way you show how much angle to get off of the dock before going full reverse. Lot's of angle.
Nicely done sir, thank you for taking the time to share this with others..
With sb engine astern, ps engine ahead and rudder to ps you will move parallel away from the dock.
great video
1.07 - How to scrape your Cat down a dock... Surely a forward spring off would be a less expensive way to get off?
what if you only have 1 on board? You just gotta wing it.
Looks like Oakland CA
I can't see too much breeze, actually it is easy. Boat is getting off too steep, I would use right engine at 30 degrees already.
I think he used port forward (not reverse) to rotate counterclockwise first.
no, port forward will give you clockwise rotation
...and have the same effect as what he has just done but you would need crew to tend the spring. Pretty standard example in the video.
if there are boats in the way and if he has breeze from off the dock and from ahead or astern, then he's going to need crew anyway because as soon as he releases the last line the boat will be moving down or up the dock.
Push off and go ! I seen no wind .
