You are cleaning the countertop with the towel and then wiping your mouth with the same towel :) No problem, you are my number one cooking channel and the cause of my obesity. Congratulations.
in fact its a spanish sauce called "aLioli" and is made by emulsifying garlic in olive oil. and its hard because it breaks if youre not patient. thats why even here in spain some restaurants make it with mayo and garlic, but definitely can tell the difference. great sandwich anyways, love the channel.
Sheldon Banks you would have loved his tv shows on cable, it’s been fun to see this grow. He always has the best commentary. Love when he makes salmon!
I generally don't buy American products as I prefer to support local producers here in Australia and often American products are full of dodgy ingredients, however, one of my fav mayonnaise is an American one, S&w Whole Egg Mayonnaise, its just Yum. Urgh, speaking of dodgy ingredients, listed from most quantity; Soybean Oil Corn Syrup, Whole Eggs (9%), Water, Canola Oil, Vinegar, Salt, Lemon Juice Concentrate, White Mustard (Distilled Vinegar) Water, Mustard Seed, Salt), Rosemary Extract, Paprika.
I love how I got to see your wife in this video. She seems cool af. Which of course makes me wonder how you two met. Not trying to cast aspersions on you Sam, just saying chemistry is rare and I’d love to hear that story.
It is A-oli. I have had it in restaurants and that's hands down how I've heard it. Like you know how in preschool when kids are taught to say their letters and so the teacher says "make the a say its name"? That's how you say it.
fruitlooprainbow That's probably because the restaurants you've been to are, or have staff who're American. It's common knowledge that the way it's meant to be pronounced is 'Eye - oli'
Sam... who says “out of doors”? Well... if you’re actually selling them you just might be “out of doors”, otherwise you’re “out doors” when you’re not “in doors”.
Never butter the bread when making grilled cheese sandwich’s. Put some butter in the pan and put the sandwich in when the cheese is melted. That’s the smart way to doit!
Mozzarella is pronounced *gasp* "mots-a-rella", not "mots-a-rel." Prosciutto is pronounced "pro-shoot-toe", not "pro-shoot." Bruschetta is pronounced "broo-skeh-tta", not "broo-sheh-tta." Bolognese is pronounced "bo-lo-nay-zeh", not "bo-lo-naise." The list just goes on. Nobody butchers a language like Americans.
I love you Sam but you are soooooo wrong. There is no place for Miracle Whip...that's coming from a southern gal too. My hubby would thin I had lost my mind if I tried to sneak it in on a sandwich. Yeah...maybe in a chicken salad if you use fruit...but that's it.
uh Aïoli is made with mayo in France too, it's not garlic and oil... and you can put lemon inside as when you're making homemade mayo you put either a touch of vinegar or lemon in to cut thought the plain mayo.
Bergthor Johannesson I mean, sure traditionally it’s like the emulsion of garlic and oil but I don’t believe that it make it lazy. It’s just a that chefs added egg yolks to ease the emulsifying process. I just think it’s tasty either way soooo
Aioli is NOT just flavored mayo!!!! Real aioli doesnt even have egg in it?!?!?! It looks like mayo cause of the texture, but it garlic emulsified in olive oil. Stop spreading that lie. /rant Sammich still looks awesome and I would eat many of them
this is the weirdest cooking channel i've ever seen. it's like 50% cooking 50%... other? But for some reason I can't stop watching. Subscribed!
Tucker Karnes lol
He used to have a tv show, we are so happy he has a RUclips channel now!
So much impromptu with Sam, which is what makes it sooooo addicting.
Being from the mid west Miracle Whip was all my family used growing up ( 50's) in fact I never knew there was Mayonnaise...MW is still my go to spread.
I just made this tonight and it’s everything Sam says it is. The aioli totally makes this sandwich. Highly recommend making this! Thanks Sam!
yep WILL make the caprese grilled cheese when my garden tomatoes and basil comes in. thx sam.
Fun to see the dogs playing and enjoying life.
U are awesome!! I love your kitchen and cooking ideas
You’re like, really cool but really weird at the same time. I’m totally subscribing ❤️😂😂😂
Dude I made breakfast based off of your just general cooking advice and I'm already a better cook so thanks, keep up the good work!
“Who wants to do lines?”
“Let’s do lines!!”
Me: where the cocaine
This looks delicious but I'd of drizzled a balsamic glaze and used a basil pesto instead of the aïoli . (Ay-Oh-Lee)
I'm sooooooo going to make this!!! Why do I always end up watching your vids at midnight and end up wanting to raid the refrigerator?!!
Peanut butter and miracle whip samich is the best!
You are cleaning the countertop with the towel and then wiping your mouth with the same towel :) No problem, you are my number one cooking channel and the cause of my obesity. Congratulations.
I was hoping there would be balsamic somewhere on this
My favorite Canadian-San Diegan cooking channel. You had me at Miracle Whip.
Looks yummy 😋
Delicious 😛i need to buy the pan to do it fast.I love this sandwish thanks for sharing😍🍅
U kidding? Swear words, comments, cute pets and cooking in one channel? I'm subscribing.
could you maybe put a dice on the tomato as well to prevent the whole tomato slide out of the sandwich first bite issues lol
It feels so weird watching old videos and seeing sam use anything besides Japanese mayo and btw MAKE BEEF WELLINGTON
This would be a great to make for wine down Wednesday with the neighbors.
I love parents who encourage and involve their children with disabilities.
Max is disabled?
Such a good show, cheers SAM
Sams the man , you’re very lucky to have such a great pop.

Nacho Vázquez his specialty is finding simple ways to make food delicious. Have you watched him when he was on tv?
We made grilled cheese sandwiches and potato soup tonite. I wanted to put onion and bacon bits in the soup, but I was out voted lol :P
I just love this guys reaction when he takes a bite. Kitchen on steroids man!
Sheldon Banks you would have loved his tv shows on cable, it’s been fun to see this grow. He always has the best commentary. Love when he makes salmon!
Yeah absolutely. And always insisting on taking the bite while the food is still so damn hot 😂😂
Love it! Only thing I would change (and I am surprised you don’t do this Sam) is that I would core the tomato and cut it the other way.
Looks amazing
I'm convinced that grilled cheese is one of the only sandwiches that Miracle Whip is tasty on.
Sam, your shirt is killin the game!
Could use pesto if no fresh basil is at hand. Also, might be awesome with goat cheese.
I need to make this sandwich
Just call it mayo-lee
And after lines? Aaaaand we mix!!!
He's come so far... lol. i've never understood why people don't start the whole video over if they forget something.
Damn Im sitting here with Frosted Flakes.
I made this! Everyone says it's the best grilled cheese they have ever had!
I generally don't buy American products as I prefer to support local producers here in Australia and often American products are full of dodgy ingredients, however, one of my fav mayonnaise is an American one, S&w Whole Egg Mayonnaise, its just Yum. Haters can take a long walk off a short pier. If you don’t get this show go away!

Mayo is basically eggs and oil, Miracle Whip is basically eggs, oil and vinegar. What's your problem?
"IT'S GONNA BE GOOD!"
can u use roasted garlic?
ok thanks sam
I love how I got to see your wife in this video. She seems cool af. Which of course makes me wonder how you two met. Not trying to cast aspersions on you Sam, just saying chemistry is rare and I’d love to hear that story.

Agree to disagree I guess, LOL. Because I've heard even NON-American professional chefs say it the supposed American-only way.
The French word "aioli" uses both letters in the pronunciation, "a-i-ol-i".
Sam... who says “out of doors”? Well... if you’re actually selling them you just might be “out of doors”, otherwise you’re “out doors” when you’re not “in doors”.
Great show and love the swearing! I like the knife too.... what kind of chef's knife is that??
He uses Messermeister knives unless it's the cleaver lol
Just curious Brenda. What about the swearing appeals to you?
"I guess we're doing lines"?!?!?! Also, Miracle Whip is the best for BLTs.

Caprese sandwich has just pesto, no mayo! Good recipe nonetheless, I like it~
stfu
Will be using Mayo instead...but other than that yum.
6:40 "That's an ugly frickin' leaf, man."
Both pronunciations of aioli are correct, BTW. A-Oli or I-Oli
Niceeeee💯
Haha I love this video
Cool hwip
Chiwawas are the ungliest dogs on the planet! What goes through your mind when you buy one?
In Italy A is pronounced "aah" and I is pronounced "ee" so ahh-ee-o-lee
Palladio 1500 I

I love dogs but unfortunately I can’t have them where I live
i hate tomatoes, but i would eat that.
I’m totally with you Sam. Miracle whip does have it’s place...in the fucking trash! My guess is you keep it in the house because of your wife!
Miracle Whip does have it's place...in the trash can.

"Allioli"
A,E,I,O,U and sometimes Y oli shirt
Miracle whip is the single most disgusting sauce on the planet.
It’s “muzz”.
Mozzarella is pronounced *gasp* "mots-a-rella", not "mots-a-rel."
Prosciutto is pronounced "pro-shoot-toe", not "pro-shoot."
Bruschetta is pronounced "broo-skeh-tta", not "broo-sheh-tta."
Bolognese is pronounced "bo-lo-nay-zeh", not "bo-lo-naise."
The list just goes on. Nobody butchers a language like Americans.
Who is the guy talking that we cant see? 🤔 im confused
Dude don’t use miracle whip!! Please. It’s not that hard to make homemade mayo plus it’d show people how to do it!
I did this
I love you Sam but you are soooooo wrong. There is no place for Miracle Whip...that's coming from a southern gal too. My hubby would thin I had lost my mind if I tried to sneak it in on a sandwich. Yeah...maybe in a chicken salad if you use fruit...but that's it.
Dude!
Aioli is french for garlic and oil!! in spain it is ajoli and it is just mayo and garlic no salt pepper and deffinetly not lemon
uh Aïoli is made with mayo in France too, it's not garlic and oil... and you can put lemon inside as when you're making homemade mayo you put either a touch of vinegar or lemon in to cut thought the plain mayo.
That is not the traditional way to do it!! It is a bastardasation of aioli its the lazy mans aioli!
Bergthor Johannesson I mean, sure traditionally it’s like the emulsion of garlic and oil but I don’t believe that it make it lazy. It’s just a that chefs added egg yolks to ease the emulsifying process. I just think it’s tasty either way soooo
yes it tastes good but the original one is better if done correctly :-) The egg yolk addition came from Spanish chefs originally!!
Bergthor Johannesson that’s how his show works. Have you watched him when he was on cable?! He’s a food guru. He shows how to make good food easy.
So awkward!
Mootzarella. Not Motz.
Get it right you Canadians!
Wow, I had no idea...thanks

Don't get married
I havent eaten in 5 days due to a tooth infection....wtf am i watching this. PURE TORTURE.
Nope. Love ya, Sam. Lost me at the Miracle Whip. Hard pass on the rest of this recipe.
