  • War usually gives rise to terrifying tactics, scary strategies, and bloody battles and World War One was no stranger to heavy fighting and countless deaths.
    While you’re likely to have heard of the Battle of Somme or the Battle of Cambrai, there are a few smaller, equally bloody battles that occurred between 1914 and 1918, that you might not be aware of.
    In 1915 as German troops approached Russian trenches and a green cloud of chlorine was just starting to dissipate - the bodies of seemingly deceased Russian Soldiers began to rise.
    And they were ready for battle…

    I love the weird historical war stories that make you say, 'Did that really happen?'. That description of how chlorine gas works was messed up. Good work
