Nirvana is prob one of the easiest bands to sing or at least mock but ya a whole generation after Nirvana sang almost identical or the same style as Kurt. Bert's voice is Def used to the higher tones but also is green. Bert oddly looks identical to Kurt Cobain with long hair especially in buried myself alive

Which is exactly why every nirvana cover sucks by the way because no one can replicate that.
No one can really replicate anybody. Everyone, everywhere is different. I'm saying he started the style of raspy low verses and belting out choruses. Every band that is influenced by Nirvana or whoever is going to take something from them regardless. It's the evolution of how we got The Used and Saosin In the first place. I'm not comparing just one song. I know Bert can sing this song better than what came out but he was trying to harmonize with Greens voice and wasn't working. It's prob the 1st time they ever tried it. No rehearsal and that's why Bert was off.
Regardless of who sang best, they both sang from their hearts. So you naysayers can stop listening, or better yet, keep your negativity away from those who enjoyed their performance.

i get you , anthony isn't leaving much room for bert , and then berts voice breaks much higher so he's going back and forth between the lower octave and then the higher one where his voice cracks, that being said I think he got the feel for it at the end
I love both bands and I understand a cover is an interpretation of the original but this is not good.
Kurt Cobain was a staple on the emo movement! He brought emo to grunge and grunge became emo music! Think about what Kurt did for the emotional group! Emo lyrics with grunge music!

I really feel like Anthony's voice might be a bit... gravelly for this, personally. But I applaud the genuine effort and emotion that was obviously put into this! It truly feels like a tribute, all in all.
