Exactly how I run my fence crew. Learned trial and error over 20+ years running the fence busines and this is spot on. Believe it or not the job foreman has to organize and layout the job and then fill in to keep it rolling. Often times that involves moving materials. The guy that always says “that’s not my job” or “that’s not what I was hired for” should always be fired. He’s toxic for moral and not a team player.
I mean every job has positions and every position get paid differently more or less depends what he was hired for and if your making someone who lets say getting 15 hr for the position he was hired he doing his job but then your telling him to do some other guys job different position and that position gets 19hr then it’s unfair the guy is doing his job and ur telling him to do more and getting paid less employees only say no that’s not my job or that was not what I was hired for because they defending them selves every manager or formen has to hire certain people for each certain position

“Co forman” does do alot of thinking fyi lol and over here in texas the “forman” is called the contractor and the “co-forman” is the sub-contractor
