This movie made me remember a more campy horror movie I saw starring William Shatner, Kingdom of the Spiders. Tarantulas overwhelm a small Arizona town.
Hobo spiders are also known as wolf spiders, who are helpful against household pests. They are the good spiders, and I say that as an arachnophobe. My rule is don't be in my bed. You can be in my house, but not my bed.
Not afraid of spiders except the venomous ones. But the larger ones are intimidating and swarms of anything is frightening. This movie had me on edge. Love your reaction.
I don't know of a particular title for people that like to collect various insects or animals, unless you mean hoarders 😄 I used to keep iguanas, geckos, snakes, tarantulas, millipedes and such. My boyfriend at the time thought it was strange for a female to be into things like that. It didn't help that he was arachnophobic. I don't have them anymore, though but when I'm healthier I want to at least get a tarantula or a millipede. They're so cute 😸
It is a great spider movie that is for sure. One of the best I have ever seen. I have watched more creature features than I can remember this one will stand out in my mind for sure.

Have you seen Arachnophobia? That is also a horror movie about spiders, and if you haven't, I super recommend! Definitely holds more humor than this film, but still has the heebies! Just be warned, a cat does die in that film, and since you own cats and hated the dog scene here I wanted to give you that heads up before you decide anything. Biggest complaint is the third act, did the cops say they weren't gonna let them leave? There was no indication that the police were going to kill the main characters so for thatvone character to release all the spiders was really dumb unless i missed something.
I explain you don’t know if you saw the movie but at the moment when the guys from the RAID find them they fight and one of them was strangling Mathys he was going to kill him and seen all that happened in the building nobody would enter to find the corpse so it would have gotten away with no problems since nobody would have known that he would have killed a civilian So Kaleb took one of the cops flashballs and shot him so that he stopped strangling and after that they are tied up and they know well that assaults on a police officer sa will cost him dearly in court and in addition Mathys it was done stitched almost an hour earlier itself which means that if the guys of the RAID saw this they would immediately eliminate Mathys and may also be the others without counting good I suspect you are not aware but Kaleb and the others live in what is called in France "une cité" and in this kind of place the police is not very appreciated at all so necessarily the tension that there is between the people of "cité" and the police it comes out when we see the way they have locked them up and gassed while there were more than 50 spiders who waited behind and who had only one desire to eat them. Mathys did it because he knew he was going to die anyway and he knew that if he opened the door the spiders would come out and people still living in the building could escape and honestly this is the kind of heroic death that many would want to have. How I know all this I am myself French and I confirm that in their place it is what I would have done because the situation imposed it.
