I have come back to this video many times over the years. I love both Yuja’s performance and this one. I don’t like when people compare musicians saying one is better than another, but I will say this is the best version of this piece out there in my humble opinion. Incredible!

I actually sent a like to your performance to a group of "pianophiles" I know, and all of us were quite blown away by your ability to not only hit all the notes in this crazy piece, but what you do with it musically. You have that special something that Argerich has, that technical limits don't really exist for you.
It's better not to watch her - any pianist will vicariously start to feel the pain that they would have to endure to produce such music. Just listen and notice there is a nice flow in spite of the enormous technical challenges. Bravo

This version is second to Cziffra's. Easily blows Yuja Wang out of the water. This is the version where the performer is having the most fun, and this is the best modern version. This is a show-off piece, and this is the perfect way to play it seemingly effortlessly and to make it look effortless. The cleanest and the most joyful performance of this monstrous piece.

I don't learn songs ever, I just sit down and play like a beast... but after hearing the first 10 seconds of this piece... how the heck does one even sit down and try to learn that??? And I don't read music either, how the heck could anyone sight read this lolol.... and you would need someone to turn the thousand pages since the notes must run off the page lolol
There are many female pianists, but among them, powerful and technicians can be a little messy. But she is a light, soft, polite and terrifying technician, who is purely unique and very valuable.

Yuja Wang plays this as one of her "barn storming" encore pieces. This rendition is at least as good as that one. Honestly the interpretation makes more sense. Love it. Well done!

Ich habe ein wenig in den Kommentaren gescrollt und da schrieb jemand, dass es eine bessere Version von Kristina Miller gibt. Ich hatte deinen Namen bislang noch nicht gehört, habe aber auf youtube gesucht und dieses Video gefunden. Der Kommentator hatte recht, deine Version ist viel klarer, viel musikalischer, technisch mindestens ebenso anspruchsvoll. Da gibt es auf einmal Melodien, die unter den perlenden Noten hervorkommen. One thing that Cziffra can do to me is make me laugh when I hear just how outlandishly virtuosic his playing is. You've managed to make me do the same with this recording. Bravo! Terrifying and amazing

@@danielhankes6879 I don't think even professional pianists practice quite that much. I'm guessing they try to practice as productively as possible in a shorter period of time. I read that it isn't just the number of hours one practices that counts-it's more about how one practices.
