I've been binging his podcast and promos. I love his promo style. The raspy voice manages to sound ominous but snarky at the same time.

Don Muraco was my all-time favorite heel. His promos were intense.
Absolutely loved Jimmy Snuka as a kid.

They just can't cut great promos like this anymore! Much respect to the Magnificent one, an all-time great on the mic who gave us classic promos time & time again

That's because today's wrestlers need a 20 man writing team to try and get them over . These guys alot of the time just shot from the hip .

The MAGNIFICENT one is pumped up for this match. These were perhaps the greatest professional wrestling matches in the history of the sport.

I think as Al Pacino got older he started channeling the Magnificent Muraco for his acting roles.

One of the most Underrated wrestlers in WWF/WWE

one of the greatest heels ever ! greatest intercontinental champ ! it's a shame he's only talked about being the man on the receiving end of the Superfly leap from the steel cage in Madison square garden. muraco was truly magnificent and people need to give this man the respect he deserves ! should've been giving the opportunity to be WWF champ .

This is when the wrestlers knew how to self promote. They knew how to talk.
"When I'm bad...I am so good!!!" The good ol' days.

You gotta love a wrestler who drinks a Coke and eats a hot dog while he wrestled! Magnificence!

I think Al Pacino stole Muraco's style for his speech at the end of "Scent of a Woman".

Muraco is the perfect example of just what makes a good heel, its just really sad how his career went to shit once he made that babyface turn

MrKing8050 agreed- he was much better as a heel. He really got the crowds going, he was the guy they loved to hate.

He has admitted in interviews he was burnt out by wrestling since Vince ran people into the ground especially in the 80s and he was nearing 40 in 1988. After he got fired, he mostly stuck to independent shows and short stints in secondary promotions like the future ECW instead of joining WCW or returning to WWF.

Muraco considers himself lucky today. He got a real job with benefits and a pension. You can't eat a crowd's cheers.

Today's "Sports entertainers" should watch Don Muraco's promos. Should be required viewing as to how build heat and how to do it using your own personality. Not some dopey ex soap opera writer.

Was this match the famous cage match with Snuka's leap that inspired countless kids to become wrestlers (Mick Foley, Bubba Ray, Tommy Dreamer...).

I love wrestling. It's great I also loved the Superfly but his interviews don't make any sense at all. He makes me laugh because he talks about alot of nothing. Funny
