Great video....good cat... Can't wait to see the new shop done.... Plenty of space for new projects!!! Ya know............ A certain Ford would look good in that space!!!!........wink knowhatimean!!!
More to come! With Andrew on board we are going to be able to make some changes in that direction. After 10 plus years of the Saturday grind, I would like to be able to do things with my boys that are fun. Andrew will help me get there.
Great info .Wish my Torino had that style of headliner. I have the bow style. We have 3 cats all they do is hunt.We have shrews and Voles in Alaska. No rats.
Jeff, When working with contact cements, use a "separator" so you can lay the two materials over each other. Then remove the separators one at a time. There are many materials that work well; old venetian blind slats, strips of plastic sheeting, dowels, etc.
I can say probably not. They are designed for the water to pass through the door and out the bottom. You will need a good moisture barrier between the door panel and the door. I have made my own from heavy plastic from the hardware store then you can use body caulk to stick it to the door, and it will remain removable for future maintenance and repairs. Depending on the supply chain you maybe able to find some precut for your car.
I would use contractor bags to seal the door from the panel. Ford used paper that "seems" to have had a coating on it; or paper with a black paint on one side. Make sure the scuppers on the underside of the door are clear too.
I needed a cat in my garage last winter. The mice got into my Mustang and ate a hole in the headliner. I needed a court order to get the little squatters out.
Not to my experience. I have had weatherstrip adhesive cause a "sucking effect" on vinyl headliners...I learned that I should brush it not use the tip of the tube. Use a brush instead.
The cats a keeper.
She rocks. It took her a minute to get back in the grove of mousing and squirrel hunting but she is back on her game.

Can't wait either! We are moving quickly slowly along. Up next for me is dealing with the county on the structure.
Wow looks great 👍. Thanks
Hope Pat is happy, I think it looks good too.
Good to hear more tips are coming as you are never to old to learn an you've got all skill levels watching

More good information. Also glad to see your cat came back after he disappeared when you first brought him over.
Me too! She was hurt and you always wonder if they are coming back she's been mousing a lot lately. four in the last few days.

Mostly field mice and squirrels here. She is an active huntress.
Another great video, you have helped me a lot with my Aussie XP Falcon Coupe.
Great to hear! Love those Aussie Falcons.
I used to hate cats until the ole lady got one and it eliminated my mice problem. I now have 5 cats and 2 of them have thumbs!! Yes, legit thumbs.
Nuther goodun Cuz, alltho nerve wracking, also helps to have four people helping.
Yep. But I wanted to show that it can be done alone too.
Small investment but much safer than a razor blade: Fiskar Rotary Cutter (in sewing notions at big box stores)
Normally I use my Fiskar scissors. BUt right now I am not exactly sure where they are. The move has...how shall I say it..."displaced" EVERYTHING. LOL

Yep. we did that.
Looks good to me eh. other interior restoration videos in the future hopefully
That's the plan! We have 2004 Mustang buckets to recover (using Bullitt buns and covers) as well as the F100 to get on.
Any tips for sealing doors so that water doesn't run inside behind door panels and into the vehicle? 64' Fairlane owner here!

I dunno, mine keeps wrecking video production...
You forgot to add, that you get high as a kite after applying the glue....
Probably why I forgot to mention it. LOL
Great video. Q. Does the contact cement attack the vinyl after a short period of time.? Thanks.
Not to my experience. I have had weatherstrip adhesive cause a "sucking effect" on vinyl headliners...I learned that I should brush it not use the tip of the tube. Use a brush instead.
Good video as always. Which contact cement do you use? I use DAP Landau Top and Trim adhesive and it has never let me down.
I use DAP contact cement. I find that the home improvement stuff works well in a pinch. But I do prefer landau glue.
@@AutoRestoMod I have used both with good results.
12:51 there she is 😺
Yep. Steals the show every time!
And the glue had more unhealthy stuff in it.
But it was awesome for population control.
That is a good way not to misplace anything just wrap your shelves in saran wrap.🤣
LOL we haven't unwrapped from the move. Stuff stays put that way.
Glue was better back then cause there was no rice in it.
LOL
