I wonder if the laser head isnt adjusted correctly. Grab the head and move CW and CCW for movement. One I had would move side to side. Might explain the line wobble.
Hi..would you rate this over the Acmer P2 33 W and Longer B1 33 W in terms of cutting abilities also??...i am looking to buy my first laser and beside engraving i would like to cut 18-20 mm pine quite often. I like this one due to ease of use for a begginer (am i wrong??)...would You recommend something else in the 1000$ price range??
WRT inflated speeds: while the marketing dept might have tweaked the numbers, could the acceleration settings have hampered the overall timings? What % of the line is spent getting up to speed at the start and slowing to a stop at the end? THX for another informative review!
Hi Rich, thanks you for those nice videos. I learned a lot about Lightburn. I’m new with laser and burn a kind of material. If got a new Atomstack S10 Pro it burn from the remote control perfect. And works good with other software. I want to work with Lightburn but from met laptop it doesn’t burn on my material? What must is do? Is there a standaard settings. I use something what Atomstack give me, but still it doesn’t burn 😢 I hope you can help me.. thanks from Amsterdam. Leo
Hi Leo, I don't know what the problem is, but Lightburn has an extensive support forum where a tech can answer any questions you might have: forum.lightburnsoftware.com/
Rich, I know this is a review for Algolaser, but my question is. Does the 10w Lasermatic come with an exhaust system to vent it out of a basement window?
Great review. I was looking forward to it. I'd like to see diode machines have a work area of either 300x300 or 400x400, with extension kits available. I can cut a 4ft x 8ft sheet of material down to those sizes with little waste.
It could be, but a new user would have no idea what to do. I have already reported it to the company. 25K scanning is the highest I can get on the line tests without distortion.
My width & height shows as 399 x 429. The air assist is quite annoying as it's start as soon as you turn on the machine and goes 100% when you start engraving. You have to manually turn it down. There seems to be no way to set it to stay off unless you initiate. Unless I'm wrong. That button to release that pin to focus is hit and missed and not easy to press.
I think there are a couple of versions of the Delta Glenn. And yes, I too found the air assist a tiny bit annoying, and it was the loudest laser I've tested to date.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy BUT, with that noisy GOOD airflow, the laser "lens" is better kept from burnt particulate matter from getting it dirty. For me, I'll take a bit of air "noise" if it helps keep the laser clean....
Touch screen like 3D printers and cutting from a file like selecting a file to print. I guess that's one way to do "wireless" engraving. As always your videos are awesome.
Thanks! Yes, this touch screen if different that most in that it has it's own processor and it's UI is well designed. The 5G is also like what you know on your phone, and the uploads are super fast. You can use the app or the web UI in a browser. This is a solid machine.
I evidently didn’t hear that it was the air assist controller. This is what happens when one goes above the 76 year age mark, well for some of us anyway. I thought to myself at the time, this sure is a completely different air assist I had been seeing, but since you guys are friends, thought a new product design was being introduced from them to you to show. The size would be a huge improvement over any of the other air assist & have still provide good air pressure at the same time. Anyway, God bless to you & family.
Purchased one based on reviews. Seems very underpowered. I've been through the setup process, checked and adjusted the belts, In Lightburn I can finally cut out a basic rectangle if I use 100% power and set speed to 200mm/m. Nothing appears damaged. Box was not damaged. Just seems based on all reviews that performance is well below expected. Tried contacting Algo several times. Waiting for a response.
The battle of the 20W's continues. ....Great honest review
Thanks for watching David, as always!

Nope, mechanically it's perfect. I checked and rechecked it. It's a speed issue on the X. At 25K it works fine.
I have this laser, It can cut 6mm MDF in one pass in speed 300mm/min and 90% power,
for me it's great result!
Nice 👍
How would you compare this to the Xtool D1 pro?
The D1 is way overpriced for what you get.

I would recommend a saw to cut 20mm pine.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuyLol...Already have one, thanks for the answer, Happy New Year!!
This laser has some new and different features. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the design.

Very little Brian, since 99% of the job is scanning at 0°.
I got I’mine yesterday and works well
But having some problems with It stopping
And Same as you with console scrolling
Contact their support. They'll help you John.
Very informative review. Thank you.
Question: Have you completed any videos with lasering images on fabric?
Not yet, but I have run tests on fabric for the settings.

I'd be interested in watching that. I hope you post it soon.
Hey, thanks for the reply.

Yes, the LaserMATIC is an all-in-one system.
By having the air assist taped down to the frame, could this be a cause for the squiggle lines?
Just a thought.
He just has the speed controller taped to the frame, not the pump.
@@danielthomas3236 thanks for the update.
No Bill.

In all reality, I work mostly in 12 x 12" Daniel, so 300 wouldn't work for me.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Yeah, and if you're working in that size, it would also be good to have some extra room for overscan.
The LaserMATIC is 415 wide, so I have plenty of room for overscanning on a 12x12. When the Mark 2 XL comes out next year, it'll be over 600mm wide.
Is it possible that the new machine has the accelerations set too high? That could explain both the wavy sides and the faster engraving job.

Check your S-Value Max in the device settings (wrench and screwdriver icon). It should be set to 1000. Yours might be at 255.
Thanks so much@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy
Sounds more like the Lasermatic is still the way to go
No doubt in my mind Steve!
