This was an awesome, tutorial. Jeffrey showing her the tips and tricks then letting her try to do it on her own it more realistic. To see her try, is something that is more effective, to show how others can try to do the liner as well.
@@Sephora yes, I believe it would be more beneficial to see your guest do it themselves. Only because its great seeing the professionals but it may give confidence to others how are not.
Specially when you have dropped eyes! She's very young and her eye lid is smoother than the ones with eye lid problems. I really would love to see this tutorial on a person with aging eye lid!
I love this tutorial video. It really helped me get an idea on how to apply cat eyeliner the right way. And for some ppl who are beginners, this is a great way to use a guide to know where to mark your eyeliner at. I love this!
I think this video is perfect for beginners. Seeing someone learn and attempt a task who isn't a pro artist makes for a great learning experience for any viewer, pro or not.
I love this! I def struggle but a cat eye I love on myself! That you for these tips. And having the model demonstrate too was great to see. Thanks Jeffrey!
Great video, I loved all the explaining and details. Thank u both so much! I myself have a different eye shape, and there r many of us who would love a tutorial like this one but on a different eye shape! Still, I learned a lot from this video!!!
I have hooded eyes. I have a question about liquid eyeliner. For hooded eyes do you start from the middle if the eye and out? Or should you put in all the way to the corner of your eye? What would be better? Because you cant always see every part of the eyeliner
For hooded eyes, it tends to be easier to do the wing first so you can see the shape and let that guide the rest of the line. You don't need to go all the way to the inner corner.
hi- got some good tips! But doing the tight liner by her closing her eyes and then the MUA dressing his thumb to pop out where to use the pencil. how do you suggest or could you have her show this step?
I have a stupid mole on one side of my eye 😫makes it so hard to do cat eye or wing liner 😭 I really loved the colors you used in that Sephora palette perfection Who knew 😍😍😍
What is the best everyday shape for liner on very hooded eyes? As can be seen in my avatar, the skin above literally covers all of my lid to my lash line. I love (or aspire to) doing fancy looks (multiple colors, cut crease with negative space), but I'm not sure it's worth it if they will never be seen.
@@Sephora I have combination skin but it gets pretty oily pretty quickly. If I put powder under my eyes it still tends to smudge and it looks cakey and creases. I have a little bit of a shadow under my eyes they look dark, but they really aren't. I try to avoid using powder when I can because it also makes me feel really dry, then it's like my skin produces more oil to compensate.
@@tristagreen Hmm, this might seem a little out of the box thinking but have you tried using an eye primer on your lower lid? It might help stop the oil from coming through and breaking up your make up.
Hi, quick question, I have a really hard time putting the pencil to tight line (which is near the eye), but by watching how you just held her eyelid a little up with your hand, will that method work for me being that is feels weird for me to put a pencil into my upper lid? I did learn (from you guys) that while putting on mascara, I hold up my eyelid so when I put my mascara on, it doesn’t bother me and give the eye much more control and also longer lashes. Will holding up my eyelid for tight lining ruin the shadow that I just placed on my eyes? I hope you understand what I’m trying to say, Your Loyal Fan, Stacey H. Long Island, NY
I cannot follow these instructions as the shape of my eyes is downturned. My lower lash line goes horizontal, not upwards, so if I follow it, it doesn’t give me a cat eye at all, but accentuates the downturned shape, looking sad. A tutorial with more challenging eye shapes would be appreciated
Great tutorial by Jeffrey..... the model talks too much. It’s hard to watch when Jeffrey is concentrating on her eyes needing finesse and she talks and laughs .
My favorite Sephora tutorial! The model in this video is gorgeous.
Akhila is lovely indeed!
Amanda Warren I agree ☝️ she’s adorable
This guy is like a warm hug, I love him lol.

Think we should do that more in future videos?

I knew it would be Fenty! Gorgeous model and great tips!!!!!😍😍💖💕
Got to give Fenty some love since they just brought out some cool new eye pencils. ;)
That model is so beautiful.....excellent video and very informative. Jeffrey was truly amazing.

Hi there, we'll keep in mind on featuring more eye looks for mature eyes in future videos, and make sure to check out our previous ones.
Can’t make everyone happy
I really enjoyed the video and how you let her do one of her eyes. Very helpful.

This should help make doing a cat eye easier, just keep practicing and try these tips.
Very helpful and on time for me because I’ve just started wearing eyeliner so I can practice til it looks better. Thanks!
OMG thank you so much for the tip! I was able to nail it finally!!!!
Yes! Awesome.
So easy perfect eye look.
Great video Jeffrey, the model is beautiful! 💕💕💕 I need to cop that Fenty eyeliner! 💯
The eyeliners are awesome, definitely give the new pencils a go.

Omgosh! Yes! I needed a video like this. Thank you! 🙌👍❤
Hands down the best RUclips video 🙌🙌👏🏻👏🏻
Great tips!!
This video is really for me because it's very difficult to do my eyeliner on camera. It is a struggle for me. Thanks for the video
Happy to help!
There’s another channel (I’m not gonna say names) that has a ridiculously long tutorial so I came to my favorite 🖤👍🏼

Yeah...I have hooded lids as well. Good question. Hopefully we get an answer! ❤
Thank you for sharing this tutorial.
Her eyes are hooded too
For hooded eyes, it tends to be easier to do the wing first so you can see the shape and let that guide the rest of the line. You don't need to go all the way to the inner corner.
@@Sephora Thank you so much for the reply. Great tips!! ❤
I do love this tutorial though. Looks way cute
Thanks! We're glad you found it cute.
Like the lip color and lip liner! Can you link the products ? Thanks Jeffrey 😊
I will try looking good
Love your lip colour. Kindly share the lip colour product details.
Great video Jeffrey! My question is how do I keep the liner from transferring to my top lid as I have hooded eyes
Joycelyn try setting it with black eyeshadow!
Wow oh thank u 👍❣

That was really helpful....yay!, always get frustrated and buy another liner because I blame it on the product failing....
Give this a try and see if it helps. Hopefully we save you on buying more eyeliner!

Does sephora do these kinds of Tutorials in store? As much as I love these I learn best face to face

I have deep set eyes, can you do a cat eye on that kind of eye?
My crease is so big that it goes past the outer corner of my eye. Do you have any tips for eyeliner for eyes with such extreme creases?
Would have been beneficial if you would have zoomed in to have seen the mascara brush and how you applied the eye makeup period!?
I dont get it, first time i actually get a cat eye that I like. This was so easy. Thanks.
I cannot put eyeliner or mascara on my bottom lashes or line because it always runs and smudges and I don't know how to make it stop....🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
Have you tried setting under your eyes with powder? What steps have you tried up until now?

We'd say give it try, you can also use an eyeshadow brush handle to hold the lid as well if you want to minimize any eyeshadow smudging.

@TanyaYve great advice.
Jeffrey: "That part you're all afraid of when your liner gets bigger and bigger and bigger. Model: Has a massively big, way too thick line
Great tutorial by Jeffrey..... the model talks too much. It’s hard to watch when Jeffrey is concentrating on her eyes needing finesse and she talks and laughs .
The model talking was distracting, in a tutorial.
She works in the studio and can’t do a cat eye... I’m dead 😵
Right? Like just say she's the model for today but not that she's clueless.... smdh
Those blonde hairs on the top of his head resemble something and thus, highly distracting.
