Here is the French quote you were looking for "Pour vivre heureux, vivons cacher" means "to live happy, live discretely (hidden is the literate translation).
So I probably spend 2 hours a day listening to you guys. The flow of your discussion is so fluid. I always feel like a fly on the wall listening to the pods. Great job and very intriguing on how to think.
“Acquired” podcast just did a 3 hour deep dive on the LVMH group Bernard Arnot. If you like this you’ll love that! (Probs where Sam got this EP idea from)
SAM is the centerpiece of the show. He has an “Everyman” quality to his personality that draws me in..Not to mention sense of humor and frank business advice. It’s a certain authenticity that he gives off that keeps my business group tuned in. Shaan compliments Sams personality perfectly though. Its the perfect synergy.💯
Besides the amazing podcast, I love how you guys are shooting to mimic 35mm in a nicely lit environment. I'm surprised how rare it is to use film standards on youTube. Either way, I appreciate what you do and how you manage to make your topics engaging. At the end of the day, it's your personalities and insights that make your show special. In other words, you guys are irreplaceable. "Always imitated, never duplicated, never knew being me could be so complicated..." Ashley Antoinette Snell
I've seen this Bernard Arnault chap coming up for some years now, quietly amassing capital in all these luxury brands - his Oxford Union talk, found on RUclips, is fascinating.
The takeaway: if I were there, I would start trying to spontaneously come up with the worst possible takeaway whenever I hear a story, just to show that you fully understand the concept. Improv sharpens the mind and when anyone overhears you they automatically remember you...for the wrong reason. Now, what's the lesson here? How well did Shaan and Sam know each other prior to the show? I do reviews and whenever I can get supplements, I get them, but my reviews aren't very helpful. If it didn't make things worse, they get a passing grade, but not a perfect grade. It depends where your gut is leaking from as to how bad it is. These guys are too young, but I don't like the Jamie Lee Curtis ads, I'd rather she stayed in the place she previously occupied in my mind.
I’m like, “have I already heard this episode about Bernard Arnault?” No that was Alex Hormozi’s video a week or two ago lol too much content consumption for me that I’m getting confused
Bezos is the most impressive because he did it with one company. Arnault has multiple companies under one umbrella. So if that's a factor Elon Musk is way richer than both of them because most of his companies are not public yet.
You guys need a Jamie that can pull up videos and make visuals or sumn. Y'all can't just be talking with no supporting visuals at this point in the game. Level up bruhs!
I will forever be indebted to you you've changed my whole life continue to preach about your name for the world to hear you've saved me from a huge financial debt with just little investment, thanks so much Mrs. Karen Cosmann
Dude not even close!! 😂😂😂 Sam is just as intelligent as Shaan is in BUSINESS!! Not to mention Sams interview skills are TOP TIER!! He also is more social and has more business connections!! Sams research is usually more relatable.. Think about it like this, SAM could interview anyone and we would watch.. He is REALLY great at talking with people..Shaan is intelligent and funny as well, but Sam can carry the entire show by himmself!!💯💯💪🏽💪🏽
This podcast could do better than throwing in sexist remarks. Referring to the brands bought by Bernard Arnault as “everything a woman aspires to own” sounds sexist to me. I’m new to MFM and don’t want to make a wrong first impression from just one show. I think that there’s a lot to learn from your experience. But in such a male dominated field, a mindful choice of language can make a difference in creating a more inclusive space.
The richest people are the Saudi Royals. The richest company is Saudi Aramco. The richest man is the king of Saudi. Stop this obsession with making Western men as always the richest. They simply not. If the Qataris can spend 200 billion on a 6 weeks world cup. You think they don't have 800 billion in the bank? The richest people on the planet ain't on Forbes magazine. Pretty confident China has 100 people richer than this French guy.
this has become my favorite podcast of all time, even without guests. something i think only Shaan and Sam can pull off.
Non guest episodes are some of my favorite
agreed. they have a unique energy that is both entertaining and informative

On learning the right lessons, have Annie Duke on the POD to talk about decisions and decision analysis. That would rock!

When I’ve worked with someone digitally for a while and finally meet them in-person, I say “nice to meet you in 3D!” - I know it’s corny lol
Tell your chef to leave out all the lectins... bad for the gut.

You invest with Mrs Cosmann too? Wow that woman has been a blessing to me and my family.

Why?

Usually, over rated means you don’t have the success record to back up the hype..
Anyway great pod as usual!
Shaan carries the podcast. Higher EQ and IQ than Sam. Sam’s lack of self awareness is comical. Glad Shaan can play off of it.
