Just because they’re on a truck frame, doesn’t mean their trucks. They are SUVs.
This or Cadillac escalade
I was just telling someone the other day how much I like Lincoln ever since they revamped their brand. Their vehicles are expensive, but they are beautiful, and so luxurious. One of those "if I had money..." cars.
You're right 😇
They need to put a coyote in the navigator!
Make it slower?
@@1FiftyOverland Its a luxury vehicle you want a smooth engine. V8 or a 3L straight diesel
@@hajjdawood 3.5eb is smooth 🙄
Amen. Until Ford does, the Yukon/Burb will always be king.
@@1FiftyOverlandPeople want to know that they have a V8 under the hood regardless!!
Squircle 😂. You said that so smoothly like it’s actually a word
It's actually a word
Good lord. Can we get over the trend of "more screens = luxury?" This is so distracting and unnecessary. Imagine how bad this will look in 5-7 years. And I don't care if most people will lease these. These vehicles still will exist somewhere.
Nobody will want to own these in 5-7 years because the electronics will be a nightmare without a warranty
@@richardnavratil9661 yes this will look a mess in 5 years and that’s because they’re trying to copy somebody else’s interior design language without spending the same type of money to execute it as well. The Escalade’s interior hasn’t been changed since 2021 and aged like wine. The 2020 Navigator has now undergone 2 heavy refreshes and it already looks more dated than the 2025 Escalade.
It 2025 not 1960....Quit being a cry baby and go buy you an old ass car...😒
5 days after the warranty expires you will have to pay 16,000 dollars to replace the 48 inch display when it breaks
people dont realize how much these are becoming a problem lol had a buddy tell me he gets dozens on dozens of cadillacs with that insane screen causing all sorts of issues
Wow...no warranty after 5 days?
It's not a Cadillac. It's not going to break.
@@inkwellunderground3746its a ford it will break. Not as good as they couldve been and cost higher than Ussr if you ask me. I think it looks good to my eyes but the eyes decieve and how wrong would it be to assume all is well and we cannot possibly improbe and do better? You see what im sayin. This is like, how much money can they yoink outta wallets to pay the bills it costs so much ot better impress theres few peopls on earth who can even afdord to drive around like this spending so much money yet its not bulletproof.
No you don't if you have extended warranty
It was about time the navigator got an update, it was way behind against the competition, looks like a pretty good refresh. I wish they put power boost system in this though. Also, what’s nice about the AC is there is a preset that you can tap that automatically aims at the driver and passenger so you don’t have to mess with it
I'm disappointed the windshield isn't a tv screen with a live feed from a front facing camera. It needs more screens
Frankly i hope they make it cost more
Hahaha, amen.
Soon the pedals will be a touch screen
Every single adjustment takes longer, is more complicated, and requires driver distraction compared with a dial, button, or lever.
Especially changing the air vent movement on screen. That has to be the dumbest idea, nobody asked for. Why manufacturers are following Elon on that, makes no sense.
It “looks so cool” and is just plain dumb. I agree. Give me knobs and buttons. I’ll take a nice screen too, but I want to keep all the usefulness of knobs and buttons.
New fire trucks even have screens with buttons next to them to control multiple electric/electronic items. I have to load different pages on the screen to get to certain functions. I'd much rather have the 1 or 2 rows of switches above the windshield like the trucks 10 or 15 years ago had.
Yikes, screen upon screen, complexity, what could go wrong?
Because it’s cheaper
I find it more attractive than the 2024 model.
In serious? Obviously!!!!🤦🏽♂️
Of all the American big SUVs I've always preferred the Navigator & now that they've facelifted it am ❤ing it the more!
Another great video by Andre & TFLT.
Wow Ford is really stepping up their luxury game, finally might have eclipsed the Escalade. As stunning and beautiful as this new Navigator is, with all the fancy screens and little motors and servos this is a vehicle you definitely want sell or trade before the warranty period stops.
I find it difficult to use touch screens while driving. It is way more difficult to touch the screen in the right place while the vehicle is moving unless you are driving on a silky smooth road.
Very handsome. Prefer the 2025 Escalade still.
13:14 you gotta be kidding me. Manual shift *_buttons_* ...on the *_CONSOLE_* ?! LOL
Those better just be for gear lockout, otherwise if they really expect you to use those for manual shifting I'm gonna have to declare that to be the most obtuse transmission interface I've ever seen.
You'd think it would be easy to put the Powerboost hybrid system in, at least for brand fleet fuel economy averages
It would be easy, but this is Ford we're talking about. We need to give the engineers 15 months to figure it out
@@issamohammed4317 I don't think the engineers are the problem...
Agreed
Maybe they will let that to the Expedition.
Can’t wait for the Expedition FX4/Timberline refreshed version. With the split-gate, it’ll be as close to an American Land Cruiser as we can get
Es probable que solo sea exclusiva de la Navigator….
I love it! Will never afford it but still. Though it not having the PowerBoost as the standard engine is a let down. So much power and capability.
The vent angle being controlled by solenoids is level 100 inanity. It's like someone creating a perfect cylinder it of a banana on a lathe, plating it with a decorative caramel drizzle, setting it under glass to be observed, then having a robot peel and feed you a regular banana while you look at the one in the glass case.
We have a 2007 Tahoe and a 2023 Expedition Limited.
That tailgate design is perfect and so much better than a full tailgate that opens.
Now, let's just hope that smaller section doesn't stop working when closing!
I believe both of your SUVs have a glass portion that can open alone. I'm curious if you ever use it.
I had a first gen Expedition and used it occasionally and left it open when we had to transport a snowblower.
My second gen Expedition also had it, but the glass hinge failed on it and we just taped it back together and never used it again. Several years ago when I wanted a replacement in a junkyard, I found that most of them fail and the dealer wanted several hundred dollars for the parts.
A que viene mencionar tus autos? Con hablar del portón trasero? Yo tengo varios autos también🤦🏽♂️….
Very attractive, and I really like the rear tailgate that's really nice. Ford should have added some more engine choices, it would be nice to be able to get a coyote or the hybrid.
Looks great. It’s such a great riding truck. The Black Labels are the nicest SUV’s without going over $200k. I love my Aviator Grand Touring. They need to do a Grand Touring for the Navigator. The mileage difference is crazy without range bs.
That entire dash would drive me insane. I could never own it.
I'd watch this if it said they threw out the tech, and had a cheap to maintain vehicle.
Years ago, I owned a Lada. Simple to repair, cheap to insure, good fuel economy.
But this is a luxury vehicle, their selling point isn't being easy to maintain
@@yejoonyang9552 : so luxury vehicles should break often and be expensive to repair, as well as an inconvenience. Ok.
@drewthompson7457 it makes even less sense to price a vehicle that lacks luxury features with a luxury price. All I'm saying is if it's a luxury car it needs to include a lot features to justify its price tag and with a lot of features things are bound to break. And also people who have enough money to buy luxury vehicles don't care about it being cheap to insure or saving gas money, they have enough money not to.
@@yejoonyang9552 : actually the title says nothing about it being luxury. But guaranteed, it will have lots of recalls.
@drewthompson7457 I dont know about you but people generally know lincoln is more of a luxury brand than an economy brand.. maybe you're unfamiliar with their brand. And yes it will have many recalls, as do a lot of other luxury brands like Land Rover for example.
That’s is a silly reason for the screen controlled AC vents TFL. You did not sound convinced yourself.
Passenger can't even change it without using the screen and asking you how to do it. So stupid.
It’s a shame what auto makers are forcing on to consumers these days.
@@Turbodude12345 It's all in the name of being more technological and trends compared to the other guys. They are all so focused on unnecessary tech these days.
Exactly. TFL tries to rag on *gm* for putting an automatic headlight control that you’ll rarely use inside the display as a digital button that never goes anywhere. But then the same publication praises their direct competitor Lincoln for making air vent controls an electronic setting inside of the screen. Tell me these folks don’t have double standards.
Controlling vents with the screen means actuators everywhere, wiring, etc. Maybe I just need to go back a couple of decades for my vehicle, and spend the money to keep it running and nice.
Yes that tasty soy based wiring.
This Navigator in that copper color is beautifully done. Talk about mild refresh. This looks like an all new model.
Color cobre? Estás bien de la vista? Es como un blanco perlado🤦🏽♂️…
What a distraction to a driver with the tech to even operator the air vent's.
The screen is just too far away. God forbid you not have perfect vision, like, most older people that buy Lincolns.
Nobody wants TV screens! Bring back chrome, wood, analog gauges, knobs. Timeless and classic. It’s why a Rolex will always be more desirable than a Casio.
Couldn't agree more.
The difference with this is that all of the things you mentioned are part of the Navigator except analog gauges. And they are physically not as good looking as a properly integrated and heavily customizable dash screen, which this has.
Everyone wants screens. That’s why they’re doing it.
Amen, so over screens in cars, give me the classic buttons!
How to loose 50k in 4 years
Resale is so bad on navigator
Can't wait until 2027 to get a 2025 at half price
Caddy smokes this not even close
Forsure!
Right
I really wish Ford would start making trucks and cars again and get out of the iPad business. This is ridiculous.
All the automakers are doing it, and folks are buying it. So, unless some unforeseen disaster happens that causes the tech to make the Navigator go crazy and run down a gaggle of Boy Scouts, probably won't be going away anytime soon.
Making cars😅. U gotta be kidding.
The Cadillac Escalade actually has a bigger screen than this new Navigator, are you wishing the same of GM?
Bring bck the Crown Vic LTD n Grand Marqs
Just buy older cars
As a Lincoln Black Label owner absolutely love my old Lincoln and will upgrade to this Lincoln in a year or two
It’s pretty cool that Lincoln stepped up there game with the two tone color schemes and the different materials they use,
I actually like the screens, although other people don’t, but I rather like the screens than dislike them because they’re not gonna go away anytime soon. I do agree though overtime reliability may be a concern,so I hope the screens are in sections and not one piece.
If it's not going away anytime soon don't expect me to buy a new car anytime soon.
The dashboard is 🤮......why is the screen a mile away from the steering wheel😢
Didn’t have the developers or engineers to execute the interior the same way Cadillac had. The split down the middle of the 48 inch display looks so bad compared to the Escalade’s execution of it and the way it’s supposed to be done.
@@G-Rated I think lincoln didn't want to copy what Escalade did they came up with this priuse lookin design!!! The outside looks good tho 👌🏾
@@politics9714 If they didn’t want to copy what Escalade did they wouldn’t have a 48 inch curved display posing as one single screen with speakers along the sides of it, and an additional driver info. screen just like the new Cadillac interiors. Why would they want a large break in between them to break up the visuals?? Lol
@@G-Rated most of 2023/24 cars have wide screens so lincoln didn't want to be left out......but the distance is absolutely unnecessary 😑!
This Lincoln should have a V-8, the Ford version can have the V-6 turbo.
I feel sorry for technicians cause they’re gonna have a hay day with these types of vehicles when stuff starts breaking
True dat.
Everybody including Toyota are doing the same thing😢
Are you dumb those technicians are gonna be millionaires
They’re going to be millionaires
Best Full-size SUV? I think Cadillac Escalade And GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate XL Is The Best
My opinion is that the navigator looks more elegant than the Escalade. Since me and my wife are going to have her family down from Japan. Then at other times my sister and her family. We need a big vehicle. I feel this may work.
Love the blacked out appearance and new Grill, disappointed in the lack of Hybrid power train
That tailgate is absolutely the most pointless thing I've ever seen in an SUV, manufactures are inventing new ways to not half to lean over a truck tail gate, here Lincoln says lets create that same problem in an SUV.
waiting for the Aviator because of that sexy roofline and classy interior
Nice !!! I had 2 Navigators back in the day until I got priced out of them !
Sorry Andre it’s not 22” wheels those were 24’s!
10-15 years from now, certain individuals in the hood will be putting 30 inch rims on these.
The exterior is OK , but the interior is totally awesome !!!!!
If Ford was keen to add a crawl system like Toyota and refrigerators to all its cars, it would find more sales and greater profits in the Middle East. Even sedan cars have refrigerators added to them. Greetings from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦✋🏼🌸
Don’t forget about the $500 per month interest charge.
To go with $1100 principle plus sky high insurance rates
I wonder why the C pillar in these modern fullsize SUVs are so large. GM has them too. The second generation Expedition had rear roof mounted HVAC vents and 3 row side curtain airbags, but not a massive C pillar.
Crash test requirements
Steering wheel looks weird. They should have added dual exhaust. It would have made the rear look better. Front end looks good.
I love it. I was liking the new Qx80 but this blows it away.
Looks ok for maybe a sport version but I like the chrome on the Lincoln. Would be nice to offer a V8 as well
Goodness! Look at all that tech! And luxurious?! I remember when I thought AC was a luxury. Now you don’t even have to smell the kids’ feet on a road trip: they’ve “solved” that! It is a beautiful truck (yes, I also call those trucks), though it kind of blends in with a lot of the other vehicles in that segment. Is that a holding center seat in the second row, or a fixed arm rest? I would imagine the latter, given the complexity of it.
I like the design, very clean looking and not busy.
I like the etching in the rims- but everyday functionality isn't there for it.
Those rims are not something I'd want to be having in snow/much dirt etc.
Those rims would be for show and that be it.
18 or 20 inch wheels are all that's needed for today's larger brakes. I've been very happy with the style and performance of the 17 and 18 inch wheels on the SUVs and trucks I've driven.
As soon as you said "...vents are digitally controlled" I let out an audible groan and stopped watching. Ford: nobody wants your proprietary, touch-driven, menu-esque vent control. There's no way in hell I'd ever choose a vehicle like this, as long as I have choices. Do car companies ever listen to their buyers? This is part of a larger issue: When it comes to tech, UI, and UX, they're clueless. GM for example suicided itself in my eyes by ditching Android Auto and Apple Car Play. They're dead to me. All their products, dead. The company does not exist as far as I'm concerned. The only redeeming thing about the tech in my Ford Truck is that it gets me into CarPlay fairly quickly, so I can use software designed by a software company, while I pretend that Ford didn't just spend who knows how much time and money creating a proprietary navigation system that no-one in their right mind would want to use over what's on their phone. When it comes to car tech, we're clearly still in an "awkward age" that started in the 2000s, and probably won't be over for a while. If I were Ford, or anybody, I'd create the industry's best physical controls for anything and everything that could be operated without looking away from the road. For everything else, I'd be arms-wide-open to Apple or even Google. They need to think of tech companies as "suppliers" - just like a Michelin or Brembo, and stop trying to re-create lousy in-house versions of what these companies do best.
It's a Navigator! Not an Expedition.. complain if they add all that on an Expedition. 😅
That blacked out model is pretty cleaning looking IMO. Overall a lot of luxury too. Hybrid would make sense here I agree.
What exactly is the ceiling on these luxury suv prices? Will we see Navigators and Escalades starting at $200k soon? This can't be sustainable.
The Towing seems low compared with the 2017 which was 9200 lbs
Bring back the Excursion, diesel too
The use of piano black on the exterior is disappointing. Surely there are others materials to use to achieve the design effect.
Absolutely beautiful update
Looks beautiful I have a 2019 Navi that I really enjoy!
It’s always a Ford/Lincoln commercial whenever they invite TFL. Y’all criticize and nitpick at *gm* for everything that they do and some things they don’t do. It seems like other manufacturers can do no wrong. Had *gm* put air vent controls into a screen setting y’all would be outside Mary B.’s office with pitchforks.
It did seem a lot like an ad for Lincoln, those black wheels are horrible, as soon they get some brake dust on them they'll just look cheap and nasty.
Nice, it would be next level if the passenger had a screen that was focused on them to enjoy while riding or make the screen able to turn to face the passenger only to unlock certain features while riding. Like when you lock it in passenger mode features like games and streaming become available for the passenger
I was thinking same thing but probably federal regulations wouldn't allow it. Although I'm sure an aftermarket accessory to do this will be available soon enough
Range Rover thought of a solution to this problem nearly 20 years ago. The two way screen, the driver sees different things on the screens from the passenger. Like the passenger could use some headphones and watch a movie while the driver just sees information on the displays.
Nice vehicle. Like the upgrades from old to new. Don't like the sticker price tho
I like the new R-pose in the thumbnail.
It's much better than the dragged-out T-pose, C-pose, or Y-pose.
😁👍
Good thing that your shirt matches the wheels!!!!
I think they did really well with the front and rear styling of this
Damn brother, GMC & Caddy will always COMPETE with Lincoln, Lincoln will never COMPETE with followers.😢😂
I can’t believe they wouldn’t build this on their full EV platform. If they had the frunk like the Lightning! This truck would be awesome.
Expedition wearing a tuxedo
Just like the Cadillac Escalade wearing a Chey Tahoe tuxedo!
Can’t wait to be picked up by this for my ride to the airport 🤣
Wow Zack is still with you, even after starting his own channel!
Looks like the double line lights in front fascia don’t align correctly. Great video André.
The Navi finally looks better than the Escalade for 2025. Even if it is only because Cadillac dropped the ball on the 2025 front end styling. 👏👏
Siempre se ha visto mejor🤦🏽♂️….
The Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon/XL have had easy hand screw release hitch covers since 2015.....
Andre the car giant at it again.
If they really wanna compete with Cadillac, take the raptor R engine and slap it into this, but donnie brasco said it best " But then, if you disagree, like "A Lincoln is better than a Cadillac? Forget about it!"
Needs more engine option. Better warranty for the money. Better wheel options. More color options. I hope it's quieter than the out going model. A Cartier version would be nice mated with the 7.3 or the supercharged voodoo or predator engine. Wood grain steering wheel
Finding this SUV one of a kind for the 2025 Redesigned/Generation 5 of the Navigator from Lincoln.🙌🏻🙌🏻💯💯 And maybe Ford is doing the same thing for the upcoming Expedition too.
very strange gear selector. And from watching, looks like the long version has a smaller cargo space than a suburban.
Can we stop with the black wheels?? I thought that trend when out awhile back. I guess its back with a vengeance now! That rear looks like an afterthought and I'm sure that interior space is less with that rear window.
The previous gen had more presence imo..
The front OK at the back 😂😂😂
Holy hell! The Granger boys sponsoring videos now!
Mixed emotions. I like the wrap around LED front lights. The split tailgate is good. Digital ventilation control is good. Exterior styling is kind of blocky. Ladies will love the digital scent. I'm still waiting for manufactures use the windshield as a display screen. The little screens still have you chasing for information. Yeah, google has good interactive tech. Does it have air-ride suspension? How about a noise canceling interior? Will the A/C work when the engine is off? GM did away with cigarette lighters; did the Lincoln as well?
Wow this is gorgeous!
I love the piano keys !!!
All the ford gizmos gonna break. Very cool tho
I like it, especially the tail light
I’ll always love Cadillac & Lincoln. I’ve owned multiple V cars from Cadillac, but if I set my pro-USA bias aside; Lincoln (in particular) should do better than SUVs with big infotainment clusters.
Nice product, but that’s not enough in today’s marketplace.
This is NOT the usual cameraman. Why is he zoomed all the way in @ 13:15?
If Ford wants to up their sales on the Expedition and navigator they need add the coyote V8 and the powerboost V6 to their powertrain line up that would up their sales and compete more on par with GM big sellers Tahoe/suburban Yukon and Escalade
I don’t like the split-gate because it’s always in your way.
And I never missed a place to sit. 🤔
Might see some people move right into this thing..nicer than some houses I've seen..nice place to spend time
Love the split tail gate , love the new tri split 3 rd row seat , love the new grille ,
It looks 👍🏼 great. Glad it is not a hybrid
Why are people buying that hideous primer gray paint color vehicles? It is cheap looking and sad. And the black wheels and accents really destroy any vehicle by removing any accents and replacing with black holes - the huge wheels that are black make it look like there is nothing in the wheel well - hideous look. If you had not indicated there was anything copper on the second vehicle, I would not have known. Really a waste of time and money. I do like the spilt tailgate functionality. While the interior is nice, I don't like the instrument panel display pushed so far away. That is going to get clobbered by sunlight making it hard to read. Do not like the touchscreen for controlling anything. Prefer buttons and dials.
Windshield will probably be tinted enough to keep 'washout' from happening with the display, plus it looks like it has a slight 'hooded' line running across it, so that should block out some sun. As for the gray/black combo, I like it, personally. But there will be other color combos as well.
I hope Lincoln makes a version with a GT500 engine or GTD engine or Ford GT engine to compete with the Cadillac Escalade V.
